This place has a great ambience and is very clean and tidy. The selection for breakfast was good and the quality of food was excellent. Very reasonably priced. We will be coming back.
The waffle I had here was really tasty. I would go back for that. My boyfriend had the regular eggs, toast, hash browns breakfast and he said it was all very overcooked. So some things are better than others.
Awesome. It's so nice here! Cute restaurant with cheap and delicious food. Everyone is so friendly and the customer service is great. Would come here again for lunch or breakfast.
Great food, friendly owners. I eat at Honey Bun several times a week. The food is always freshly cooked and the owners are so friendly. Everything is spotless and tastes good.
Must try their wonton soup and spring roll. Best in town.
Been coming here all our life, best honey buns around. Will never find any better! Great wonton, all around one of our favorites in Victoria. A must eat for sure!
A Welcome Addiction. You just cannot have an afternoon in Victoria without your Honey Bun!
For many years I travelled to Victoria and experienced it's unique wonders saying, "I will move here one day" and that day eventually came. In 1995, I commuted to work from Sidney to Victoria by transit and stopped every day by the Honeybun Cafe that was on the west side of Douglas Street at the corner of Fisgard Street. I patronized the cafe for an occasional coffee but never left without a golden glazed, creamy coconut delight that was the Honey Bun!
The HONEY BUNS were so delicious that when my cousin declared how much he missed his "buns" from his days of living in Victoria, I sent a package of the creamy, wonder treats home to him by Purolator Courier; a feat in which the cost of the same day shipping was ten times the cost of the contents. The delivery was well worth it as my cousin was thrilled when he expressed the glee of savouring the freshly baked, sticky sweets.
There was a second Honey Bun Cafe on Yates Street in Victoria, only four blocks from the first one. This was the place where I would go with my friends on an afternoon while being a tourist in our own town. It was situated perfectly in the middle of everywhere and a geographical standard for the City of Victoria. It was tiny and quaint with a friendly staff always ready to offer a smile with your food.
It has now been five years since my last visit home to Victoria, but I can guarantee you that the first stop on my list this summer will be to the Honeybun Cafe. If you see the girl with the golden bun in between her fingers with a perma-grin on her face - Say hello and I'll give you directions to Frank's!
Budget-conscious delight !. A quaint little cafe that serve like a restaurant and is definitely a suitable place for brunch. They serve continental breakfast set combos as well as Chinese food with your choice of 1, 2 or 3 items combos. Reasonably price, friendly service, and often fills with loyal customers. A budget conscious delight !
Got the breakfast sandwich with hashbrowns and it was delightful!
Would have given it a 5 star review, but the matcha latte wasn’t good at all. Too much power and not enough cream/milk

Okay. Context. This is not a fancy place. But they deserve a 4 because of no frills, straightforward Chinese food that I am familiar with. Savory. Tasty. With all the sauce, noodles, rice and viand combinations. If you’re in Downtown in looking for a comfort food, this is the place!
Frank’s Honeybun Cofe is a local favourite. They serve delicious breakfast food and American Chinese food that can’t be beat. Check their window for a daily special!
Great little place had the Good morning breakfast great deal service was fairly quick. No nonsense place to enjoy breakfast. And of course the price was decent.
I have been coming to the honeybun cafe for a long time. I always get the wonton soup. I love that they give you vegetables in the soup it adds extra flavour. They also don’t skimp on the wontons. Thank you very much for consistently delicious wonton soup over the years. I will keep coming back for it. :)
Cute little place, definitely didn't expect breakfast to be as good as what it was. Prices are right, decent portion size, and good service. While maybe not my go to restaurant, I wouldn't complain about having to eat here!
The prices are great and the food is good diner fare. Nothing fancy, not great but a fair meal for a fair price. We were pleased with our meal.
Good brunch place. Affordable pricing.
Taste was good.
Boba tea was average, milk was too watery, not thick!
Street paid parking available.
Good place to eat :)
I ordered an Egg noodle soup with chicken, it was delicious.
If you want to have some breakfast like Chinese, I recommend this place.
Even if you don't want Chinese dish for breakfast, there other American dishes such as omelet or toasts.
I love this place. Owners/operators are friendly and welcoming and offer a wide range of favorite Western & Chinese food items. Fast and affordable, with hot items ready for an easy lunch take away. The wonton soup is wonderful and they have a solid 5.99$ all day breakfast deal.
