I could live here! The place is so beautifully decorated and the staff is so friendly. I won't lie... It was the beauty of the place that drew me in...But then I had their brownie cheesecake and tea latte... And there are no words to describe the quality and deliciousness I experienced! Can't wait to make this place a regular spot!
Went by today to get my wife something sweet who is back in the states. The staff were polite & helpful. They have a very nice shop. I will be going back before I leave Victoria. They have a superb selection of pastries & other sweets. I highly recommend anyone visiting , check it out. You won't be disappointed!
Finally, I made it to La Roux Patisserie to try a few things. One of the items that I had picked up, I had forgotten what it was called. Anyway, it was an almond flavored cookie type treat that had a great texture when I bit into it, and the almond flavor was beautiful. I also picked up a few pieces of a layered chocolate cake with pumpkin buttercream. It was very light and airy and had a beautiful pumpkin flavor. The space is very cozy and has plenty of both indoor and outdoor cafe seating. The staff was very helpful and personable. This is a beautiful place that has beautiful treats, and I will definitely back for more treats. Thank you.
It’s my second time here, within the past 3 years and I can say the desserts, whatever they are, are all amazingly delicious.
This time we ordered a gateu de opera and a carrot cake! Just fantastic and full of good tastes!

I ordered a birthday cake from La Roux as my parents enjoyed their anniversary cake from here earlier in the year. I was greeted over the phone by the friendly staff member who took my order. She was able to provide some recommendations. I love the use of macarons and real flowers on the cakes - a very nice touch! The cake was moist and made perfectly. The passionfruit middle balanced out the heavier chocolate ganache exterior. The flavours are well thought of. La Roux is a go-to for our family celebrations!
We went with La Roux for our wedding cake and cannot recommend them enough. The head chef is so sweet and we loved getting to know her during our tasting. It was clear it was all about what we wanted and what mattered to us during our meeting, which made us feel at ease. It was such a lovely experience and we walked away confident that our cake would be amazing. She is so talented and the cake/desserts we ordered were spectacular. Not to mention the cake was absolutely stunning and everything we could have dreamed of. Would highly recommend La Roux for your wedding, or just a visit. The carrot cake is to die for!!
My boyfriend saw the carrot cake in the window on Monday when we were headed out of town to go camping. Afterwards, even though we had to make a ferry on our way back to the US, he HAD to come back and get it. It did not disappoint. And my chocolate passion fruit tart was one of the best desserts I've ever eaten. LA Roux does an extraordinary job baking but also providing friendly warm service.
Recommended by our Air BNB host. Glad we tried it. The croissants 🥐 and petits pains au chocolat were divine.

A very happy accident to run across this place on a visit to china town. Unbelievable how good these were. My family and I absolutely loved them. The coffee was excellent. I had wonderful flashbacks to Marvelous by Fred. This place will not dissapoint! I will be back!
Beautiful bakery, also I really like what I ordered: the panna cotta, rum ball and mini pastry. They aren't too sweet and very fragrant
Delicious Paris Brest with crispy dough and hazelnut cream.
Authentic dark chocolate creamy hot chocolate, highly recommended also.
The pain au chocolat with actual dark chocolate bars filling and crispy airy dough was also spot on.

I got married in late September and by sheer stroke of luck, I was able to secure La Roux Patisserie to make my wedding cakes after a tasting in early September (don't do this- book them early)! It was a serendipitous and marvelous experience to meet Rebecca, Chef Joanne, and the rest of the team. In addition to the staff being wonderful people, the cakes and pastries are delicious and beautifully crafted! The team was able to cater to many dietary restrictions and during our tasting, Chef Joanne was a math whiz and easily figured out what sizes were needed. Unsurprisingly, the cakes I ordered (raspberry chocolate, lemon, cookies and cream, and opera) were a huge hit and there were no leftovers! In fact, they were gone so fast that I didn't even get a taste! Unfortunately, I don't have a picture of the wedding cakes but I do have a picture of the cakes from the tasting and consultation. Thank you, La Roux Patisserie, for making my wedding day so sweet! 😋 I'll definitely be coming back for more treats!
