Tried the Guay Teow Kee Mao for the first time tonight, absolutely fabulous flavour and the freshest ingredients. Appreciate the attentive staff in regards to my celiac diet and for making an overall great dining experience. My other personal favourites are the Baan Thai Noodles, Phad Bai Graprow & Kow Phad, cannot wait for my next meal at Baan Thai!
Fresh. Tasty. Great atmosphere. Good service. A very enjoyable dinner.
Excellent meal at Baan Thai. Service was great and food came out quickly. The Tom Yum soup was rich and delicious. The Papaya salad was surprisingly spicy, in a good way. The drunken rice and Panang Curry were both so flavorful. I prefer Pad Thai elsewhere, but with so many great choices here, it's hard to go wrong. The key lime pie was amazing!
Nice restaurant! Great ambience and friendly staff. The food was great as well. We will visit again when next we are in town.
I don't know why this restaurant isn't rated even higher than it is already. Very authentic tasting Thai food. This is coming from a person who considers Thailand a second home and has been there at least 10 times if not more.
Amazing food!!! Service was also excellent. It was my second time back to the restaurant. The first time was only two people. This time we were a large group of ten so I got to try quite a few items.
The highlights for me were their chicken satay with an amazing peanut sauce, the Tom Kha soup was just brilliant, the Som Tum ( Papaya salad) was nice and fresh and the Pad Kra Pow (minced pork with basil) was probably the dish of the night.
Must visit if you're in Victoria!!!
They food is always great here. Service matches the food, and drinks prices are pretty good, especially during happy hour. Definitely recommend Baan Thai.
Personal fav is the Drunken Noodles with pork, extra hot (not for the faint hearted).
My drunken noodles were pretty good. Husband didn't like his food at all. The atmosphere was nice.
We had a delicious meal with another couple. Four of us enjoyed: spring rolls, Tom Yum soup (YUM!), papaya salad (YUM!), chicken satay, calamari (not very Thai, but someone wanted it, was good), for appetizers. For our mains we ordered Pad seeuw, Thai Garden, Macua phad Tofu, we also ordered a chicken dish, which I did not eat as I mostly eat plant based/vegan. We ordered the food mild, and it was very mild, but with many herbs and spices - it was flavourful. We all agreed it was delicious. We thought the food prices were reasonable. It's a new favourite restaurant!
What a great place for some soup and a relaxing atmosphere. My serve was very friendly almost over the top. The food was so good I had to thank the kitchen staff personally. I gave 4 stars because the place was empty but I bet it is 5 stars at night.
10/10 food, I think I got pad see ew and it was soooo good. The service was wonderful as well. Our server (gosh I'm terrible with names) was super sweet and really went above and beyond for us. My friend and I had never been in canada and asked about the currency and she gave us a full tour of it all. Canada, I do not mean to mock your currency, it is beautiful, but I really thought she was kidding when she told us about loonies and toonies. Delicious and educational lunch
Loved their food!
Prices are great, portions are good and the food is mouthwatering
Excellent services, the waitresses are lovely, waiting time was reasonable. We order the dinner set 1 for 2 but didn’t finish them all because we wanted so save some room for dessert. The soup for appetizer (tom yum if I remembered correctly) good be really good if it was less salty. Same to Pad Thai. Thai curry was yummy. Mango cake was delicious too. My bf really liked the whipping cream on top 😋
Will be back for curry and Pad Thai!
