What a wonderful experience from entering the gardens with a docent explaining the history to the tea and luncheon in the house.
The service and food selection was spot on.
I highly recommend
I took my sister for high tea. It lived up to my very first experience. The choice of teas was very good and the sandwiches and scones were excellent. There are gluten free options as well. I really like the china cups and all the china doesn't match. Each service is different . We were seated by the window overlooking the gardens and even in the late autumn, the gardens are soothing and wonderful to look upon. The only drawback was that the music was a bit loud and interfered with my sister's hearing aids. They kindly turned it down when asked. The tearoom has limited seating so everyone can see the gardens. Reservations are recommended. This is worth the visit and then a stroll through the calming gardens.
We stopped here as a shore excursion during our cruise. The staff were all very kind and welcoming. The food was pretty tasty. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked the egg salad on rye (I’ve always had rye on my do not eat list). There was a little bit of disorganization and chaos, but that didn’t take away from the experience too much. I would love to go back again sometime!
I highly recommended this teahouse. I really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the table settings. The staff were calm, professional and prompt. If I were to visit Victoria again I would definitely return to the teahouse.
We really enjoyed the afternoon tea here. Friendly service, nice garden for a quick stroll after a delicious meal. My friend went crazy for their clotted cream. The scones were yummy and the sandwiches were all different and delectable.
My wife and I stepped in the teahouse at 11am sharp. This is a very nice teahouse, quiet with a beautiful view of the well maintained garden. There are only two 2-people tables right next to the big window. Since we had the first seating, we were lucky to be seated at one of the two tables.
High Tea has more items than Afternoon Tea and some items on the Afternoon Tea menu are not on the High Tea menu. So we ordered one of each to cover the widest selection..
All items are freshly made at the Teahouse. One spice even come from their own garden. There are wide selections of the tea too. We enjoyed so much on everything presented.
There's a small giftshop.
The garden itself, separately managed from the Teahouse, is all run by volunteers. We were told that this is the prime time with a lot of flowers blooming. Gardener is trying to extend the season with flowers bloom later of the year.
Oh, there's a guest book on the table right outside the dinning room. Don't forget to sigh it.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stop at the Teahouse at Abkhazi Garden while visiting Vancouver. While the friendly staff, teas, scones and cozy atmosphere were exceptional, it was the gardens and trails that really caught our attention. Thank you. Until next time!
A lovely afternoon tea with all the trimmings. Excellent service, large teapots, great quality scones, tea sandwiches and sweets.
Lovely young lady serving and the setting is TDF. A beautiful 1.5 acre garden with mature trees, water features, flowers, and cultivated beds. Absolutely beautiful.
$90 plus tax and tip. Worth your money. Reservations a must.
beautiful tea service. was visiting victoria and heard a lot about tea service on the island and so glad i got to try it. was debating between going to butchard or here and so glad we went to abkhazi instead. tea service in the garden was the highlight of our trip
It was a memorable experience at the tea house.
Both my boyfriend and I were amazed by the waitress.
The COVID Protocols were very reliable, too.
One of the highlights is the homemade jam. We decided to buy this jam!
Before we were seated and left, we had a chance to visit the gift shop, and we had a great time.
