Just had dinner. Walked in the place was packed! Was put at the "family table" small two seater by the till and kitchen. Without a lie it was the best seat in the house. People watched, had three different staff checking on me and the food....was incredible. The lamb melted in my mouth. Over all the greatest and most attentive service I've had in years. Will be a number one stop when visiting Victoria. Thank-you so much!!!
Decided to go here on a whim for my birthday dinner last night and was overwhelmed by the experience. Singing, dancing, great food and plate smashing - can't recommend this place enough! Thank you!
I had to try this place after reading the entertaining reviews. It's much larger than it looks outside, very nice and clean nice decor. The service was amazing, not sure who complained about that, it was very fast and courteous. The food was good and portions were good size, I also don't know why people complained about that. It was a solid place to go for good Greek. It's a bit on the pricey side but honestly so is food in general. Definitely recommend.
We had dinner to celebrate our anniversary during our weekend in Victoria from Toronto. Hubby made an amazing choice in this restaurant.
We were welcomed at the entrance with very pleasant professional personnel. I was immediately impressed with the ambiance - it feels like a restaurant in Greece. Very spacious with lovely artwork and blue/white look everywhere.
Dimitri assisted us with our order - we loved all the appetizers, dinner, wine and the best part was the spectacular service and attention to details.
We’ve eaten at many Greek restaurants over the years which meet our expectations however this one went above and beyond.
We highly recommend it and will be back! Thank you for a wonderful night to everyone at Ithaka.
I’m impressed! We stayed at the nearby hotel and found this place randomly. We looked at the review and saw their ratings are so high, so we gave this a try!
They have very friendly staff and they are very attentive to each customer’s needs.
It was hard to decide what to order as everything seems so delicious.
We tried the grilled octopus and calamari. Both were very tasty. I especially enjoyed the octopus. It’s so tender and the sauce was very unique.
We also tried the ribs and grilled prawns. The prawns were cooked to perfection. The seasoning was on point. The ribs were so tender with a bit of smokey flavour. The rice that came with it… I can’t help but finished every bit of it.
We were so full but couldn’t resist to give the dessert menu a try. We ordered the baklava. Dang! It’s so good! It absolutely took us down the memory lane - I miss Greece.
The Greek coffee was a great wrap of this wonderful meal. Thank you for such delightful meal!
This is our first visit to Victoria and we found this lovely Greek Restaurant. The food and Dimitri are super great. The white and blue just made us feel like eating dinner in Santorini. Definitely, we will come back again when we visit next time.
Had a very special birthday dinner here with my partner. The food, service, and atmosphere was all first class! Such a warm welcoming owner who greeted us at the door. Our server Caitlyn, was super knowledge and helped us go through the incredible selection of Greek wines, I ended up having Retsina, it was delicious. The vegetarian options were great and the saganaki was a perfect starter. Overall one of the best dining experiences we had on our Victoria trip. Will be back next time :)
Stopped for supper and was not disappointed. From the minute we arrived, the service was great. The food was delicious, and our waiter (Dave) was really good. For dessert you should try the Ekmek.
My husband and I had a hankering for Greek cuisine, so we booked a table at Ithaka. We received a warm personal welcome that immediately made us feel at home. Our server excelled in explaining the menu, recommending fan favorites. We savored crispy and fresh calamari, a standout dish. The trio of dips (olive tapenade, tzatziki, & houmous) impressed with their freshness and nuanced flavors. The houmous, in particular, had a delightful texture and lightly seasoned taste.
The pitas complemented the dips well, offering a soft base. For our main course, we opted for chicken souvlaki and Zorba's Dinner with a substitution of lamb instead of chicken. The portions were spot-on, striking a perfect balance between protein, starch, and vegetables. Unlike relying on rice to fill up, the ample meat and vegetables left us satisfied.
To cap off our delightful meal, we indulged in the baklava, which also proved to be a delicious finale.
We will unquestionably return on our next visit to Victoria and enthusiastically recommend Ithaka to everyone. Our heartfelt thanks to Ithaka for the exceptional service—this place truly exceeded our expectations!
The food was very delicious! It was lively and beautiful inside. Everyone was so nice and treated us well. Definitely a top Favorite. Would come lots.
