Went there about 8:30 on a Friday morning. Although it was busy there was no wait to get seated. Server brought coffee (an absolute necessity) right away. Orders ere taken shortly after, with the wait for the food being perfectly acceptable. The food was great. The portions large, we both could not finish the breakfast. Would recommend the french toast, although I hear that the benny's are the best. It would be hard top top the french toast. You have to check it out when you are in Victoria.
We waited in line for 25 – 30 minutes. The dining area is small, and we were seated at a very small table. The food was amazing, and the staff was awesome! There is a good reason people stand in line for 45 minutes to sit at a tiny table. The Blue Fox Café experience is worth it.
Enjoyed the food here - large portion size and large selections of brunch items (tasty mango jam!) The line starts around 8:45 so it’s best to come early. The food did come a bit later than expected but given the large portion it’s understandable. Their Belgian hot chocolate is a must-try!! I’m sure their mochas are great too - just not a coffee drinker myself.
You Must Come Here!!! Came for breakfast, and there was a line (which is always a good sign). When seated, hubby ordered the Mayan Mocha, which he said was very good and had a good punch to it. I had the hot chocolate, and it is most definitely not made from powder, It's real chocolate. We both ordered French toast, his the apple, and mine the banana one. Best French toast we've ever had!!! Service was good, though it took a bit of time for the food to come out (that's what you get when a restaurant is busy, so I'm fine with it). Please come here for breakfast.....you won't regret it.
Absolutely amazing and very busy breakfast spot. Get here early, cause there is always a line-up outside. Also, pro tip once you get in line, stay in the line till you get seated. You will not be disappointed, one of Victoria's best breakfast spots... if not the best. Wait staff is super friendly and accommodating. Menu has an amazing selection of breakfast choices, and once you order the food, it comes fast. It's definitely worth going to over and over. Thanks.
Be prepared to wait! Great eggs, Benedict, and well worth the weight at least once.
Food:
We all ordered eggs Benedict and were very satisfied with the food and quality. The hollandaise sauce is made in-house, and everything tastes fresh. The amount of food is very filling.
All plates of benedict are between $20.00 and 21.00 , so a little above average, but not complaining about the pricing, considering the quality and freshness of the food.
Atmosphere and Service:
Very small, open-concept restaurant with tables close together. Typical tables and chairs no booths within this restaurant due to space limitations.
The service was excellent. The staff were attentive and came around and filled the coffee. I never had an empty glass.

Although I'm not a fan of breakfast, I saw this restaurant online and decided to try it out. It's worth! The best breakfast I've ever had. I love their Eggs Delmonico Ten Bennies. It was delightful. I like the taste, it's not too salty. The blend of flavors is beautiful. I have never had such a large breakfast before. I also tried Fox's Grill Classic Breakfast, but it wasn't as good as the Eggs Delmonico Ten Bennies. The space is a bit small, but it feels cozy. The staff was friendly.
A breakfast worthy of the lineup I often see at this establishment when passing by.
Ordered the standard breakfast, “Island Eggs”. It was considerably better than other breakfasts I’ve had in town. The eggs were quite tasty, free range I imagine given the colour of the yolks. Potatoes were respectable, toast above average, and sausages larger and of higher quality than normal.
Service was quick and friendly as well, better than I expected from a breakfast restaurant.
Well done Blue Fox Café! I will be back.
Amazing breakfast spot in Downtown Victoria. When we go early in the morning already had line up so can see how popular it is. It’s featured in so many articles about the breakfast you have to try in Victoria. Actually at beginning we are little skeptical but it turns out it’s very good. The portion is huge and they are generous on putting ingredients the plates are full :). We are super full after eating that we skip the lunch. We highly recommend this to if you want to try traditional breakfast in this beautiful city

My favorite place for breakfast in victoria!, great flavor, huge portion plate, today we were so lucky!, we don’t have to wait to be seated, the service was great!
The largest pancake I have ever attempted to eat. Really good, would recommend to anyone visiting Victoria! Delightful service. Even though there was a large line it moved pretty quickly and we were sat within half an hour.
They are usually pretty busy and there was a wait for us to get in, but definitely worth it. The food was very yummy and very large portions for the price, I would definitely recommend. One plate would’ve honestly been enough for both my friend and I. The decor and ambience is also very nice, service is quite attentive. Although a tad slow because of how busy they were. I would definitely come again.
