BBQ chicken pizza was amazing
Monthly fix needed. If this giant delicious cheesy crispy pizza wasn't so calorie/salt/fat dense, I might be here once a week. They put loads of topping on their large slice pizzas. The crust has a crunchy chewy mix of textures and at about 2.50-2.75 a slice, it doesn't break the bank. This place is my favourite by the slice pizza place in Vancouver.
Pizza wars are the only good ones. This stretch of West Pender is pizza slice central. Depending on what's opened or gone out of business recently, there are five or six slice joints serving the peds and bus riders on this busy transit strip. To some that might seem like overfill, but I say it's great. Because concentrated competition makes everyone lift their game, or go out of business. It's like law of the pizza jungle on this strip, red in sauce and claw!
I did a taste-off one day, buying a meat-lover's slice from 2001 Flavors -- you're in Canada, not the USA, so spell it with the extra unnecessary "U" you hosers! -- and pitting it against a couple pieces from FM next door. The ways I know these joints are in a war are the prices -- $2 per standard slice at 2001 -- and the toppings. They load 'em on thick at both places. There was not 2 mm of my 2001 slice that was not covered in burger mince, diced ham or sausage crumble.
I slightly preferred 2001's slice, even though it cost more than FM's and was smaller. But the nice Asian staff at 2001 (FM seems to be Indian) ran my slice through the oven to crisp the thinner-style crust. That made the difference between what are otherwise two basic by-the-slice places.
Excellent cheap pizza slices. You can pay a little less for pizza on this block, but you'll probably be facing an owner and staff that don't care quite as much as the folks at 2001. It doesn't look any different than most cheap za shops, but the selection is slightly better and the staff have hustle and an attitude that keep me coming back.
Several good vegetarian choices always available.
Best Pizza in Vancouver. I am a huge fan of pizza in general and seek out new places regularly. 2001 flavours has been my favourite in vancouver for a couple of years now. The key here is the dough and the fact that they use a REAL pizza oven and not a shitty conveyor belt like some other place *cough fatih's cough*
The owner is friendly and the daily specials are interesting, just make sure you ask what's fresh or what's coming up next so you get a nice hot slice straight from the oven.
Sooo good!. Sure the pizza is a bit on the greasy side, but if you are looking for something absolutely delicious, 2001 Flavors Pizza is the place to go! It is my place of choice when I want to splurge a little.
Decent Pizza in D/T Vanc. Hey, is this place an authentic, wood-fired pizza restaurant? NO - what they are is a great lil' pizza-by-the-slice joint that makes a pretty flavorrable slice.
Especially LIKE their specialty slices like Ham/Swiss/Tomato. Try it - you'll B satisfied
One of my favourites. This is the only place in Vancouver that I know that sells garlic pizza. For $1.75 a slice, you get a great pizza.
It's a little greasy depending what you get but it's great pizza.
Three large pizzas were gigantic and it was only $44 to 12 people for lunch.
2001 Flavours on Seymour has been a very popular pizza joint which rivals a majority of all the pizza joints in that area. Even though their prices are a few cents higher than the other pizza places, it still remains a favorite amongst their customers. As for their name, I doubt they have 2001 flavours. It reminded me of the gelato place on venables….but with pizza. Unfortunately, they only have a hand full of flavours per day. Don't go in expecting 50 flavours since they probably only have maximum of 8 at a time. I have not been to a majority of the pizza restaurants, but I am willing to pay a bit more for some good pizza. I came here a year ago and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the pizza. It is just the way I like it. I came here for lunch the other day for a quick cheap bite. I found it funny how it is located beside 2 pizza places. I got their 2 pizza and a pop combo ($4.75). I got the meal lovers and peperoni, green peppers and mushrooms. The pizza slices are quit
Now, 2001 Flavors, located in one of the most dense areas of Vancouver when it comes to pizza parlours. On the same block, there are not one, or two but four pizza parlours! It has been there ever since I walked by years ago and some other nearby pizza sh
