A neat little eatery on a roof with a wide selection of izakaya treats. You can order and pay on your phone at your seat, some dishes even come with a discount if you do. All the dishes are reasonably priced and even on the cheaper end. I really loved the blend of flavors in the cool eggplant and the black cod was so fatty and tender and generously portioned! I also really enjoyed my melon drink and ice cream, very creamy and refreshing. Service was nice and very fast, we could've been in and out in 45 minutes with how fast the kitchen was, although we ate a bit earlier during dinner when it wasn't as busy, the speed was still rather impressive.

I visited the restaurant on a Thursday night. The place wasn't too crowded and we got a seat by the bar immediately.
This was my second time visiting and they rebrand the restaurant from Guu to the current one. The ambience is still nice like previously.
You order from your phone and they bring it to your table. Not a huge fan of needing to pay and tip before eating tho.
The food itself was unique and flavorful. You can't find some of their dishes from other sushi store/Izakaya. We ordered pork neck, fish collar bone, roasted cauliflower, karage and mackerel pressed sushi.
The pork neck and beer tonge were amazing. The karage had crunchy skin and the inside was tender and juicy.
Definitely recommend checking this place out.

Amazing experience at Haraheri last night!
We went on a Friday and we were helped immediately. The restaurant has a cute rooftop vibe and the inside is quite cozy.
What I was impressed by, however, was their great level of service and AMAZING, authentic japanese food. The tuna tataki was divine - garlic chips added a nice twist. Chicken karaage was yummy too.
The best part of my night was the cajun salmon aburi/oshi - it literally melted in your mouth and the flavours worked perfectly. Absolutely loved it.
Staff was extremely friendly & prices were reasonable considering Covid! I will definitely be returning. :)

Good food. Authentic. The Royal Bento is what we came in for and it was good value for the money - CAD27. However, I think they had too many fried pieces in the Bento - they should replace one with maybe sushi.

I came around 2 pm on Wednesday the service a and the attendant was amazing no complains but the best Pat was the food totally Japanese recommended from a Japanese person without disappointment. I try the curry with noodles and was nice till the moment of the oden 5 kinds arrive a perfect combination of flavours and textures I like to call it the sea earth dish

Amazing value Japanese Lunch food! 🍚🍱
The bento boxes are very worth if you want a bit of everything. The prices are fair for the quantity and quality of food. I got a yuzu drink, tako wasabi, and tonkatsu curry. Would highly recommend for casual dining with family and friends! 😊
Fun fact! It's upstairs in the plaza so, it was a bit hard for me to find at first

rooftop restaurant with great service and good ambiance. food was alright. we were excited for the cajun salmon oshi but it was over seasoned and the rice was very chewy (perhaps intentional but we didn’t enjoy the brown rice with this combination) and we wouldn’t order it again. the three kinds of sashimi was good, Brussels sprouts were alright, mizore karage was good, duck breast was flavourful, prawn and avocado tartare was yummy.

The lunch Bento box was full of variety and was a well balanced meal. The chicken was my favorite protein of the combo and the tempura was also very good as it wasn't over bartered. I wasn't a fan of their Wagyu meat ball. It tasted like a regular meatball. The salmon oiishi had a very nice smoked taste whole the rice was also seasoned uniquely. It made it more flavorful than other places I have tried. Finally the tuna takaki melts in your mouth and it's also not drenched in ponzu sauce. I do wish there was a bit more of the fried onion for every piece. I found the prices to be a bit on the higher end but with the quality and presentation of the food it is understandable. The restaurant itself is in a really unique place and there is a very nice garden set up outside. I would love to come here again to try the dinner menu.

Great service! Busy place. Nice atmosphere.
Tasty sharing foods. Great quality fish. The best sashimi BC salmon around. Yum yum.

Service was nice but very slow, got some wrong items we hadn't ordered. Some items we ordered never arrived. After sitting at our table for 15 minutes I had to yell across the restaurant to get the attention of a server. Sashimi wasn't defrosted completed and served way too cold. First time here, and quite disappointed since the facilities look really nice

Fantastic service and food! The raw spot prawns and scallops were awesome!

I'm a normal lunch time visited to take advantage of the discounted lunch menu if ordered 30 min before. I normally do this while making an open table reservation. Did that today but when I got there not only was the food not ready (the server apologized then said they'd make it right away), I was told I had to play full price due to their mistake. Only places with poor customer service would make a patron pay for their mistake. Very disappointing since service has been on the downhill. Never coming back.

Karaage taken to the next level!
Thank you for showing me a better world with the tastiest, most delicious fried chicken.

Hey Guu Garden management. Hope you read this. About a month or so, a coworker and I decided to come here for lunch. Long story short, we ordered and waited 40 minutes for our food. Realizing we were going to be late, we asked our server to get our food to go. She showed up at our table with two take out boxes... No food. When we asked where it was, she looked confused. No explanation. She was just standing there. We walked out of there, no food, time wasted. The most our server managed was a faint "Sorry" as we walked out the door. I phoned the same evening asking to speak with a manager. Got an apology and he said he would make up for it by providing some kind of compensation for their blunder. He took down my full name and mailing address, and said it would be sent. Well... it's been over a month. Nothing. Where is the compensation? Was your management even sincere? Why lie? If you had no plans to compensate and you weren't really sorry, why say it? Disappointed by this place TWICE. The best part? Nothing will be done, just like last time. Don't lie to your customers next time, and please work on your crappy service.

Food is not bad, the service was super slow when the restaurant was not even half full...
