Review Pizzeria Farina - Vancouver

Munchica
Pretty awesome thin crust hand tossed oven pizza. The Margherita pizza is refreshing and tangy. Love how they have flavored chili pepper and oregano infused olive oils on the table you can use to sprinkle on your pizza and add flavour. Lots of white based sauce pizzas too that were tasty.

When we visited they couldn't offer the full menu so that was disappointing. However we did enjoy the two pizzas we got. The dough is nice and light, the toppings were fresh tasting. The oregano oil was nice to drizzle on top, the chili oil i find has no flavor .over all a good experience!

Ordered Pizza to eat at the Boxcar next door...amazing service and the pizza was soo good! We had the Calabrese and it was probably one of the best I've had. Plus the staff are so friendly and accommodating. Definitely will be back!

Unfortunately, I haven't had food here yet but I was in the area to drop some cake for homeless nearby who were not the most accommodating as I brought no cutlery. The guys here went out of there way to help me, all of them came together, gave me cutlery, butter paper napkins, paper plates to serve cake to the homeless. I'm definately looking forward to there service next time I crave for a pizza 🍕!

Loved their Margherita pizza, definitely a strong tomato sauce flavour. Didn't like the seasonal carbonara much - it was quite dry and salty, didn't warrant the higher price tag vs their regular pies in my opinion. The dough dried out super quick as well, so definitely eat fast! Not my top spot in the city, but very solid. The staff were super friendly and efficient! Would want to come back to try other pies.

I love pizzeria farina, I got a lot of great order in the past, that’s why I still keep stars here, but today the food quality is really disappointing. This Margherita is coming with only three small basil leaves, which I can tolerate, and the worst thing is the whole pizza tasting very bitter, so I flipped it up to see how bad it is, here we go. I know pizza crusts are burnt a lot, especially in a wood fired oven, so, if I never taste your average and best quality, I’ll say that’s it, it’s ok, I can just switch to another pizzeria with a much more sensible price. But hey, you guys were my favorite in town. Please don’t sell me the bitter next time.

The staff here is so nice. There was an issue with an online charge that was stalled and everyone did their best to be as accommodating as possible. Not only that, but their pizzas are delicious! Highly recommend their funghi, quattro fromaggi, and boscaiola. I’m glad they’re sticking around Main St!

Visited Pizzeria Farina tonight and the pizza did not disappoint. I have had this place on my list for a while now, and so I had some pretty high expectations. Ordered the Quattro Fromaggi and Boscalola, and they were both delicious. The base is light, flavourful and has good hold. This isn’t a slice like you get at Pizza Hut where it’s flopping all over the place. The sauces (tomato and white) are not over powering, but also bursting with flavour. Service was polite and efficient. It really felt like we were in an old Brooklyn pizzeria. Nat’s likes to call themselves a NYC style pizza place, but while it’s a gimmick for them, Pizzeria Farina pulls it off and practically teleports you to the east coast. Highly recommend!

Very cool place .... loved every bite & the sparkling water for free is nice touch

Pizzeria Farina has been around for ages but I’ve never stepped foot into this place before. D’s been a few times and wanted to go back as it’s been awhile. They specialize in is a thin crust style and have a sister restaurant out in North Vancouver, Farina a Legna. We dropped in on an early Tuesday evening (around 5:30pm). It wasn’t very busy while we were there but several people came in to grab takeout. Order at the counter first.

Thoroughly impressed with the pizza at this joint. I checked it out because it was rated as the best pizza place in Vancouver a few years ago and I love me some pizza. The place didn't disappoint - I like the small space, relaxed atmosphere, and fresh pizza.<br/><br/>In terms of what to order nothing I've ever had has disappointed me. As a vegetarian I go with the margarita and the fungi without the meat but my meat-eating friends agree that you can order just about anything there.<br/><br/>I think their gimmick about closing when their out of dough is charming and ensures the food's fresh but I know it irks some people. The place is well worth it!

Superb taste that makes you heart melt away after having pizzas in this place !! Highly recommended..High end pizza taste in ghetto hood ..worth of every penny

Sister restaurant to Ask For Luigi, their pizza toppings are what differentiates this from other Neapolitan style pizza restaurants. Marguerita Pizza is my default for testing the quality of a pizza place. This one had fiore di latte on it so naturally it was delicious. Looking at the cans of tomatoes they have, no wonder the tomatoe sauce was tasty.

My favorite pizza in Vancouver for sure! Lots of great selections and the ingredients they use seem to be very fresh. Lots of good flavors and their dough is so good. Perfectly cooked everytime, love their meat pizzas all the way. Salami here is the way to go. Thin crust and great to try real pizza. Love to take a few home and great to reheat even.

If you’re a pizza lover, you have got to try Pizzeria Farina in Chinatown.  Part of Kitchen Table Restaurants group with sister restaurants Ask For Luigi and Pourhouse, Pizzeria Farina has been named a top Vancouver pizza eatery.  It was just recently that I tried Pizzeria Farina and their pizza rocked my world!  It was so good, my friends.  More on that below.

Fresh thin crust pizza? Yes please! Really glad I got the Calabrese, which features soppressata (thinly cut dry salami). So delicious. Shared a pizza amongst two people and was decently full. Come early because this place closes once they run out of pizza dough for the day!

Always one jump ahead of the breadline, you can have your beer and Pizzeria Farina too if you take it to the bar, Boxcar, right next door.  Street rats for company (and I'm not talking about Eric and I this time), it's hard to put into words how lovely it is to eat your fresh out of the oven sausage pizza surrounded by dirty dumpsters next to the setting sun with only several cans of cheap cider to wash it down with.

We ordered 6 different pizzas when we had friends over, so I feel like I've got a good taste of the variety of pizzas offered -- especially considering they don't have a huge menu. I really loved the dough -- it was quite chewy but I do like chewy crusts. It was a thin enough crust that it didn't make it difficult to eat due to the chewiness. The topping combinations were great on all of the pizzas we had. The only downsides for me were that I thought the sauce combined with the the toppings was too salty for my liking. Saltier than any other pizza I've had. I also thought that the sauce and toppings made the pizza crust more watery/floppy than I would expect from a thin crust. Would I eat here again? Yes, absolutely. But I wouldn't rave about it in the way I've heard others do (not sure what all the hype is about as I've had many better pizzas in Vancouver) and I wouldn't go out of my way to get pizza here.

The pistachio pizza is really good, and I will brave it despite my lactose intolerance. I may or may not eat the whole pie myself in one sitting - that's just how I live my life.
Naoki_art
I wasn't very impressed. The crust wasn't thin or chewy enough (undercooked?). The sauce has a nutmeg flavour I didn't enjoy with my margherita pizza. I would go back to try one with more toppings but I'd rather head to Nook or Nicli for a Neapolitan fix.
Vancity Food Guy
Seriously you got to be kidding me wow. Best pizza I've ever had why? The dough is so LIGHT and it's so simple with a punch of flavor. The best part is I didn't feel like shit afterwards from heavy dough/gluten!<br/>I ordered the fennel sausage, the pistachio, the mushroom, and the formagi. My first time ever and screw every pizza locally cause this place got it down omg!
DanoRama
Another restaurant that definitely lives up to the hype. Had the funghi and fiochionna. Funghi was better but both were amazing. The infused oils are unreal complement to the meal. Restaurant was a bit too busy for me so next time I would do take out.

I don't usually come by this area, but I have to say pizza farina is unlike your regular grab and go pizza, think pizza suitable for fine dining .
Michael
Very delicious pizza. Thin and crispy crust with fresh toppings. I suggest the funghi. Lots of mushrooms and roasted garlic with arugula on top. The room is a little small but cute. Make sure you come early because they do run out of dough.
James
Great pizza here, and super friendly service. You can also see the cooks working their asses off in the back to make sure you get your pizza in a timely fashion. Make sure to tip. These people deserve it.
JK.
One of my favorite pizza places in vancouver!! The dough is always fresh, just enough sauce, fresh toppings and friendly neighborhood atmosphere. The shop is a bit small for the crowd of ppl that come through so i suggest coming early or order take out!
Goodmealhunter
Honest and delicious... That's all I want from a slice and Farina gives you just that. It's no wonder they run out of dough! Their napoletana style of brick oven baking combined with simple/delicious flavours adds to their appeal and is the main reason I choose this spot over the abundant vancouver competition. Not just a neighbourhood joint but a community staple!

Hands down my favourite Neapolitan pizza place in Vancouver! Their pizza crust is just a perfect combo of salty, soft and crunchy.... their tomato sauce and fresh toppings...so ridiculously delicious.

Average pizza, expensive beer. Not sure that this place is worth all the hype. Had the margarita pizza and added roasted garlic. Was a solid pizza with a nice crisp crust. The pizza did not blow my mind (like some of the other reviewers have raved); it was a slightly above average thin crust pizza. Really, quite comparable to other pizza joints around the city. Prices for a pizza were reasonable ($12 for a margarita). <br/><br/>The biggest downside to this place was the cost of a bottle of beer: $8.05 for a 330ml four winds IPA! It's outrageous! When I ordered two bottles and the cashier told me "$16.10", I thought she has accidentally rang in an extra bottle. Nope. I commented that it was very expensive and the cashier just said "Welcome to Vancouver". Really?! Because the Colbalt next door will sell me the a pint for $6. <br/><br/>Also, a long wait for pizza. We waited 30 minutes to eat in. It might be a good idea to order ahead of time.
Syd
Really excellent pizza. We got the special and the funghi. Lots of toppings, just enough cheese, and thin, chewy yet crispy and fresh crust. Really busy but we got takeout. The place smells amazing, it's torturous while you wait.
VancouverLP
Great thin crust pizza. Great unique pizza at good prices. I've had the calabrese (meaty, bit salty but otherwise amazing) and one of their specials (gorgonzola, apples/pears, really good) and the quality is top-notch. Two people can share one pizza but if you're super hungry you could soldier through one yourself probably. <br/><br/>The downside to the place is that it's just super small. Don't bring strollers, big bags, your luggage, etc. There's probably only about 20 total seats. Order over the phone and get take-out instead!
Dancing Dolls
Amazing pizza! Maybe overpriced but I definitely can't stop thinking about it. Added fennel sausage to our pistachio pizza and wow! Flavor heaven!

50 calls, no answer. I've had this pizza once before. It took a lot of effort to get through to the restaurant to make an order. I was pretty happy with the product the first time. The second time, I begrudgingly undertook the ordering process, but was excited for the pizza again. It didn't work out. I called 50 times on a Sunday between 5:15 and 5:45. I could not get through. It was either busy or went to an answering machine. I understand that the cutesy "we're open until the dough's done" gimmick is to build cache, but this kind of treatment of customers is unacceptable. I also understand that my anger at this treatment won't make stop people from flooding the Farina lines, but I sincerely believe they need to re-think their customer service strategy. Even having a call answered and then waiting on the line for five minutes would be better. I won't be going back any time soon. Erm, TRYING to go back any time soon.

Best pizza in town. I am a huge fan of Nicli Antica but I love this pizza ever so slightly more. I don't like the crowded tables and line-ups but will occasionally suffer it if I am in the mood to pick it up and go. My favourite is the mushroom but you can't go wrong with any of them. We have tried them all by turn and thought each was excellent. Save your appetitie and get just go for the whole pizza, you won't want to share OR save for lunch tomorrow. One bite and there's no stopping.
Oliver
THE best pizza for miles. Perfect base and just the right amount of toppings. Amazing mozzarella and the sausage is awesome.
Scotchy
Good pizza. They take it seriously unlike Campagnolo across the street who suck at pizza. The staff at Farina pretty much don't care about you or your need to be smiled at or respected, but who cares when the pizza's this good. Go there for the pizza, most def.
Roberta
Good food - bad business. Our favourite pizza joint but when got hung up on 3 times today - terrible customer service. Too many other spots to try in Strathcona area & won't be ordering or going to Farina again.
Craig Fraser
Simple. Delicious.. Simple fresh ingredients. You can taste everything clearly and the dough is obviously made from scratch that day. I would say the price is a little high for how filling a pie is, but I still come back for the flavour. I think there was a bit too much pepper, but everything else was perfect. The size of the pizzas is small - I had to order two to fill me up.<br/><br/>The decor is kind of fun - feels like an old industrial building from the 40's. A rustic floor, old fashion water tap, flush white walls with red accents and traditional bulb pennants take you back in time.<br/><br/>Similar traditional style pizzas can also be found at Bibo on 4th Ave and Famosa on Commerical Dr.

Pizza is Shrinking?. We usually order every week, the pizzas have SHRUNK, noticeably....for the price, that is not good news.....guess they are cutting costs, but this knocks a star off.
Purdey
Small little place. Self service place. Price is reasonable, and the pizza taste great. I would definitely not recommend take out, but eat in once the pizza come out of the oven. The funghi was great and the crust was CRISPY. Definitely would come back again.<br/>Overall experience: thumb's up

Great pizza! Served with attitude!. Hey that was super good..seems like the owner has a bit of an attitude problem though. Tried to change our order 30 seconds after placing it and she said she would change it but wouldn't refund the price difference... said it was a hasstle.. serious? The money is still in your hand!!!! She was even training a new staff member.. geeze.. hope the girl shes training is a bit more service oriented...

Great food, could be friendlier. The pizza was really great!! But, I don't get the pretentious is better than friendly thing (that is often so successful in vancouver). When we arrived there were no other customers (530pm), but didn't get a hello, or welcome. But, the pizza was amazing!! I will be back, but I won't add a tip to my bill, as there is no service to tip.

Best pizza I've ever had of this style. I've gotta say, this is my style, and within that style I've not had better. Crispy thin crust pizza. great looking place too.

Pizza to die for. I had the pizza "Funghi", and it was absolutely delicious. Service was very fast and friendly, and I LOVE the simple yet cosy design of the place. I'll definitely come back.
Edith
This place is alright. but WAYYYY over priced for a thin pizza with a puffy crust. the toppings were mediocre. i had the pizza special and it had 3 slices of bacon strip with sprinkles of spinach on top. once i ate half i felt like i just ate crispers. my bf who is like 6'2" can probably eat two whole pizzas.
Ruocaled
Funghi. 1. large size for the money (2x size to other Italian pizza place )<br/>2. It's a help yourself store. Friendly but don't expect service.<br/>3. Amazing interior design despite the extreme small space.

Dilemma- Farina or Nicli for top spot?. My husband and I had a night in last night and in light of all the good reviews of Pizza Farina, we ordered a couple of pizzas for pick-up.<br/>In my husband's words, the tiny restaurant with a take-out counter and a few seats has a very "hipster" vibe. It is not incredibly inviting so I was glad that we were taking out.<br/>But then we got the pizzas home and after my first bite, I was in heaven. My Funghi pizza was to die for, with multiple varieties of mushrooms, onions, just enough arugula and whole cloves of roasted garlic (my favorite!). It was topped with both mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses, with the Parmesan adding the perfect amount of extra sharpness. It is a white pizza (no sauce) which allowed all of the ingredients to shine. I also added extra spicy peppers and anchovies for a little salty and spicy kick.<br/>My husband ordered the Pizza Speciale, which seemed to be created with him in mind. It had all of his favorite ingredients including pancetta and smoked mozzarella, topped off with arugula. He loved it.<br/>So now comes the big question- Farina vs. Nicli? To be fair, the decision has to be made on pizza alone as Nicli's atmosphere and overall dining experience obviously far exceeds Farina. But Farina does not pretend to be what Nicli is. Its obvious "raison d'ĂŞtre" is to do one thing and do it<br/> well. I have had the Funghi at both Farina and Nicli and after careful deliberation, the Funghi at Farina just edges out the Nicli version by a hair. My husband disagrees and still prefers Nicli pizza.<br/>In the end, both make great pizza and fortunately are targeting different parts of the market so my future decision will be easy- for take-out it will be Farina and for a nice night out it will be Nicli. Dilemma resolved!

Wow aaron!. I came with my 2 little ones one evening and was very impressed with not only the extremely "fresh" and chewy crust, but the fresh ingredients. I felt it was a great family place with seeing other parents with little ones there as well. <br/>I am very surprised at Aarons entry for I feel maybe he doesnt quite understand what pizza should be?? <br/>Maybe he should go back to his panago for that full cake like full dinner feel he is looking for. ranch dressing on the side perhaps?<br/>We had 3 pizzas and free sparkling water on tap for $42, which was a great price indeed!<br/>The service was as quick as could be I think, considering the line up that followed me.<br/>My little ones loves it, simple, not too spicy, yet full of flavor.<br/>I'll be back for sure and make sure to tell all my friends to "gush" about it.
Gingerbreadmom
WONDERFUL. Wow, this is indeed the best pizza in town. I have travelled extensively including Italy and I must say the pizza's at this place is the most original I have had. I have tried 3 tasty regular ones and the lovely dessert one with apples, honey and feta hmmm, I'm getting hungry thinking about them. I love the sparkling water on tap and it is gratis. The staff is quick and efficient, attractive and always service is with a smile. Everything is made from scratch, as it should be and very fresh. This place is a winner and will succeed, I'm very sure. Did you know there is also parking in the back? It makes stopping for takeout or eat in convenient for out of towners like myself. I highly recommend this little pizzarina and hope everyone enjoys it as much as I do and shall continue to do. ENJOY
Urban Mama
Charming and yummy!!!. I have now been to Pizzeria Farina three times (twice for eat in and once for take out) and the service, decor and FOOD are awesome!!! 2 pizzas for around $11 to $14 each feed me, my husband and my ravenous little boy very nicely. The ingredients are high quality and tastes and textures are very nicely balanced. I feel like we're eating good, simple, home-cooked meals when we go. The decor is very nicely done but unassuming and suits the 'hood. I'm so excited that there's finally some good quality, delicious, casual food in my neighbourhood!
Aaron
Run Away. Close friends may have recommended this place, gushed about it, insisted that you go and then followed up to see if you've had a chance to go....<br/><br/>Help me help you. Give this place a pass.<br/><br/>I get what they are trying to do and applaud it but they missed big time. Anyone who has tasted good (preferably wood fired oven) Napolese style pizza will know what I'm talking about. <br/>Done right, the crust is chewy, the ingredients although sparse are of a high quality. <br/>The impression here is just cheap. Crust that neither gives you the impression that it was made fresh nor the texture of one that is well made. <br/><br/>The ingredients are almost non-existent with comically little cheese in particular-even on the Quattro Formaggi.<br/><br/>The Margherita had the additional off flavour that you might get from canned tomatoes that were opened and then left in the can for awhile, giving an off metallic "preservative" like quality. <br/>Awful. <br/>It might have been something else contributing to the off flavour but other than the tomato sauce and the 4.5 Basil leaves with a tease of olive oil there wasn't much else there.<br/><br/>Last but not least the woman taking the orders set up the Interac so that you immediately and without choice were prompted to tip. <br/>Tipping for take out? <br/>The service better make me blush. At the very least I like to have the choice. Just leaves a bad taste in my mouth, although no more than the pizza.<br/><br/>So, two pizzas and 3 drinks (non-alcoholic) came to $40, plus tip.<br/>Two adults plus a two year old and a four year old are left hungry by the above order. The children and my wife went to the fridge for second dinner.<br/><br/>So if you've read this far it's quite clear that I will not be returning and will be continuing my community service started here-trying to protect my friends and anyone who lends me an ear from experiencing the same crushing disappointment our family has this evening.

Hands down best pizza in vancity!!!!! I thought I had walked into a funky little pizza cafe in Brooklyn.... Pizza was epic... Thin crust... Fresh FRESH ingredients! The room was simple yet had character oozing throughout the room.... This place will be, a HUGE HIT... Or I will eat my napkin next time I am there. Wurd!

Simply delicious. I love how Pizzeria Farina kept to one specialty only - pizza! And I must say they do a fine job of making it. I also appreciate the fact that their pizzas aren't overly complicated. I had the Funghi, a thin crusted oregano olive oil infused mushroom pizza topped with carmelized onions and arugula.....yummmmmy. They make their pizzas hot, fresh and fast. It's perfect for a quick bite to eat without sacrificing quality or taste. They also do take-out and pick-ups with a smile. I highly recommend checking this little pizza shop out.

Finally! In Strathcona? I've been waiting for a place like this. Upon walking in for the first time, my friends and I were immediately charmed by the adorable atmosphere and greeted by the friendly staff. They had only opened a few days before, but their aesthetic and service seemed like they'd been doing this forever. The food came shockingly fast! Not only was my funghi pizza delicious (especially with the oregano-infused olive oil), but my friends were thrilled with the free sparking water... ON TAP. While we were leaving, each one of us was given a loaf of bread made from the leftover dough from the night before as a neighbourly gift "because we can't bake a pie and bring it to your house like most neighbours do"... is this place even real? They're going to get sick of seeing me so often I'm pretty sure because I don't want to get pizza anywhere else. The only thing I'm sad about is that they don't open before 5pm, but we'll see what the future holds. Really hope they're successful enough to stay in my neighbourhood the whole time I live here, but somehow I'm not worried about that. I LOVE PIZZERIA FARINA (if I didn't make it clear enough before)!

Best pizzeria in Vancouver.. I was very blown away when I walked in on Saturday. They did an amazing job with the space and the people are great, taking pride in what they do. The menu in very minimalist, offering only 7 pizzas and 3 beverages, but everything is 5 stars. Will be back again cause I can't stop thinking how good the pizzas are....

Leave a reply 915 Main Street, Vancouver, BC Food Rating: 8.5/10 It took me a while to get around to eating here, as it’s kind of in an awkward location and I always see a lineup when I pass by. My boyfriend loves pizza, so as part of my present to him for our second anniversary, I decided to take him here for dinner after the  Raptors v Kings NBA preseason game at Rogers Arena. It was only a 5 minute walk away, and it have us time to let the  post-game traffic calm down.  The timing worked out perfectly, so ifyou’re ever watching a game or going to a concert at Rogers Arena, keep Pizzeria Farina in mind! Onto the food: we ordered the  Margherita and the Funghi pizzas.  Both were simple yet packed with flavour. The funghi had a lot of roasted garlic and arugula on it, two of my many favourite things. The crust, although a little soft in the centre of the pizza, had a crunchy edge with darkened crust air pockets (don’t know the proper name for those things but I love them)! I would definitely go back again! The Menu. Wall Menu. Water choices. Crust bottom Dipping or drizzling oil! Funghi and Margherita I love when the crust looks like this!

Out of all the Neapolitan Pizza places that have cropped up in Vancouver in the last couple years, Pizzeria Farina remains my favorite. I’ve eaten here a lot and it’s always perfect. Great space to eat in, easy-peasy for takeout. Love the Farina… NOM NOM!!

Before checking out the Chinatown Night Market, we decided to stop in a Pizzeria Farina on Main street and Prior street, in the Cobalt Hotel. This is a tiny place, with a long communal table down the middle and limited private seating by the window. I’d heard good thing about their pizza, but had hesitated for over a year, largely because I don’t get down to Chinatown very often any more, particularly so at night, which unfortunately, is the only time Pizzeria Farina opens. We ordered the Pistacchio pizza, and had it boxed to go, since the house was full, and there were people waiting for seating.  Our order took about 15 minutes to prepare, and we waited outside, since there were no empty seats inside (and it was pretty hot in there). This is a thin crust pizza, topped with parmesan sauce, Mortadella, aged mozzarella, pistachios & olive oil. And this is a very good pizza. It’s not an authentic Neapolitan pizza, and doesn’t try to be, but it is one of the better Italian style pizza pla

Serving unpretentious pizza napoletana in a humble location with quirky decor, Pizzaria Farina proves that simple can be best at times

In terms of food trends, Pizza is HOT in Van city. Over the past few years, Italian-inspired pizzerias have been popping up all over the city ( Nicli in Gastown, Novo and Bebo in Kits, Verace in Crosstown, Barbarella and Via Tevere in East Van) and I don't see this trend going anywhere. Vancouver loves a good pizza! Pizzeria Farina has been around for just over a year and thriving in its location at Main and Union, right near the Cobalt, across the street from Campagnolo and Electric Owl. They don't pretend to be "Neopolitan" and follow that strict pizza code but go with that style.

The arugula was fresh, abundant, and perfectly complemented the delicate flavours of the mushrooms and onions. E proclaimed her finocchiona the best pizza she's ever had in Vancouver. And the crust! So good that I took A's crust

On the night we went their special was mortadella pizza with pistachios! I know, I know you must be surprised at the combination, but I have to say that it was a delicious combination.

Pizzeria Farina is located right by the entrance to Chinatown near the Viaducts. They open daily at 5pm and stays open until the dough runs out. This place is really close to my work and never open for lunch. Apparently they always run out of dough, around 8pm or 10pm depending on the day you’re here. They are also the same owners as Ask for Luigi and Pourhouse. I came here with M, KoreanGirl and Scarface came here on a Friday after work to enjoy some great pizza. You can either eat in or take out. The interior is quite small and cozy. You will find a communal dining table in the centre for 10 – 12 people. The are also 2 tables of 2 and 4 seats by the window. So, that’s about 20 seats in total. They have sparkling or still water on tap! Pretty awesome! I’ve slowly grown to like sparkling water, so it’s great you don’t have to pay for it. They also have different sodas. We got Boylan Ginger Ale, Boylan Cane Cola and Brio Chinotto. Margherita ($12) has tomato sauce, mozzarella, olive oil

alarmingly delicious :Main-Strathcona:   Disclaimer: The fire alarm rang intermittently for a the first quarter of my visit.  No idea why. It was loud and annoying, until I downed my first glass of wine...then it was just loud.   Seating is sparse with high metal bar chairs, but it was surprisingly comfortable – Momma GG thought so too which means it's senior friendly. Yes, Momma GG knows I call her a "senior".  She calls herself a "senior". Farina 's pizza is fabulous - very similar to Serious Pie in Seattle . The bottom crust was a little soggy in the centre but not enough to detract from the pizza. They have a handful of tasty options and a daily special to boot. The menu: Our choices: Daily special Funghi The funghi was better than the special. The special was a tad salty, and I'm convinced it had more to do with the bitterness of the kale than the prosciutto, but my dinner guests disagreed. Either way all three of us liked funghi the best. We polished off two pizzas. It’s a great

This was a pizza! I love when there is salad on top of my pizza because that makes is good for you. The arugula was nice and peppery so I felt it went really well with the mushrooms.

It's non-pretentious Neapolitan style pizza without the fuss of gourmet ingredients and a fancy atmosphere. The value is great for what you get and the pizza is solid.

With only eight items on it menu (all pizzas), Pizzeria Farina, serves a very simplistic menu to an infinitely more eclectic crowd, on a daily basis...
