Best take out Chinese food in Victoria. Little hole in the wall place run by the nicest family. All the veggies cooked to perfection without adding too much cornstarch to the sauces
Best chinese food I have ever had! Been a resident of the lower mainland my entire life and been through a lot of Chinese places - none of them come close to Rainbow!
Lemon chicken was well cooked and had an excellent crunch. The lemon sauce isn't thin like other places and really packs a flavourful punch.
Beef & Broccoli was perfection - the broccoli was so great. Most times it kinda gets left on the plate - not this time!
The portion sizes of some dishes are a bit smaller than what some folks may expect - but the quality is absolutely there. Given the current state of restaurants/inflation I still feel the price point reflects what you get. I absolutely recommend coming here and giving the restaurant a try.
Absolute best Chinese food! Highly highly recommend. Fantastic service fantastic food and the best spring rolls and sweet and sour chicken balls I have ever had ❤️
Absolutely love this restaurant!! The food is delicious, best Chinese on the island imo, and the family that runs it are just the sweetest. The girl always takes time to ask about the family, love her!
Only had the wonton soup, but it was the best wonton I've had on the island 💚 was ready super quick and the staff were really nice. I will definitely be back to try out more menu items :)

I have lived in Victoria for 40 yrs. I must say, this Chinese food experience was the most enjoyable I have had in Victoria. Ever! The food was fresh, the seasonings were superb. and not greasy in the slightest way. I just had to give a review. Thank you for a wonderful dinner, my hat is off to the Chef
Everything arrived fresh and hot. The portion sizes looked normal to me, not sure what others are complaining about. We ordered 7 different items and they were all delicious. Will become a new go to place!
First time trying this place and so happy I did!! I usually went to Maygold years ago when they were actually decent but over the last few years the food and service has been terrible! Rainbow is the best Chinese food I've found on the south end oh the island. Food was fresh and not greasy like most places! Very good flavor and very friendly staff👍 will only order from here now on 😁
We chose to order dinner from Rainbow Chinese Restaurant last night (based on recommendations from friends) and we were extremely impressed! The food was delivered piping hot and quickly! This place has the best Chinese food we have had in quite some time! Seriously, we were very impressed and will definitely order again! Well done Rainbow Chinese!

Picked up a combo plate and spring rolls to share and found it to be plenty of food, well priced, and freshly made. Chicken chow mein was tasty, not too greasy, and was plentiful. The chicken balls were nice and crispy and not over battered, but there were only four smaller balls. The beef dish was tasty but again I felt there was too little on the plate. Great food, but perhaps a rebalancing of the plate is needed?
