Surprised the heck out of me that the best South Indian food that we could possibly look for in Canada was being served on the island and not on the mainland, given the number of restaurants there are in GVA. We were skeptical about the 4.7 rating, thinking that people on the island haven't tried food on the mainland but couldn't have been more wrong. We have tried almost all the places that serve South Indian food in GVA and I can assure you that you can't go wrong with this one. I'm not one to hand out 5 stars easily so this 5 star review matters a lot. They did mess up the Spicy dosa but for the most part food was better than any other comparable restaurant we've been to so far. Service is pretty slow and they should look into it but the food made up for it.
I think this is the first time I’ve seen Indian cuisine as in a food court set up. Hey, don’t judge the book by its cover. This place serve amazing food and their flavour is above the roof!! Shout out to the owner (I believe) who was willing to set up tables for 8 of us so we can dine in and enjoy our time together. Bless you Sir! I ordered goat curry and the flavour was superb and never find that flavour before in any Indian restaurant I’ve been. Apologize, we couldn’t make a call the next day because our time was so short otherwise, we will order take out for lunch!
First time visit, right in downtown Victoria. Nice independent location, staff is very pleasant and service oriented.
The food is really good and will want me coming back for more :)
Update....since the original post we have revisited multiple times and have not been disappointed yet.
One of my friends tried the Chicken Korma today and he says that was the best he has had till yet.
The south indian combo is a favourite, the only suggestion to the owners is that they try to give a little more of the "chutney"
Me and my husband visited there yesterday. We tried three items and all were very tasty. I love to have this South Indian food after so long. The staff was so humble and friendly. We will definitely see you again . Thank you 😊
Great South Indian restaurant in Victoria BC. Everything we ordered was of good quality and very tasty. Staff service is commendable. They are polite and the place is neat. Located inside another property this place is a go to restaurant if you are craving Indian food.
Great food at a great price. I love a good dosa and this place serves hot, hearty vegan & vegetarian meals, with great service to boot. The food I had here totally turned my bad day around. Can't wait to have a "giant triangle of Indian food" again!

If you’re craving dosa or South Indian food, this is the spot! 😍 The food is phenomenal. This is our first time here and will certainly not be the last. We got the vada to start. The vada was crispy and went well with the sambar and chutneys on the side. The coconut chutney is dialled and acts beautifully as a cooling agent.
For our mains, we ordered the Paneer Butter Masala Dosa and the Mysore Masala Dosa. The paneer butter masala dosa was exquisite, especially with the addition of the butter paneer. It’s sumptuous. The Mysore Masala Dosa was hot and spicy 🌶️🌶️🌶️ but I really enjoyed it. It’s so flavourful and delectable. Both of them were tasty and well prepared. The host who assisted us at the cashier was very nice, friendly, and gave amazing recommendations. Excellent service. It is located inside a food court; nonetheless, they have tons of tables, and the food’s on point.
Overall, I highly recommend Dosa Paragon as they do a great job with their foods and you can tell that they’re passionate. We shall be back! Thank you!💯🙏
Amazing South Indian Restaurant. True to its name, Dosa Paragon has the authentic menu from Southern India. Dosa, Idli, Sambhar Vada, Uttapam and Biryani are amazing. Price and service is excellent too. A must have on your list if you are a foodie.
Lots of vegan options! They have vegan cha and mango lassi. Lots of vegan dosas - I got masala dosa and it was amazing. Friendly and nice workers.
Went to the new Wharf Street location and had the goat masala dosa. It was amazing, and the service was great.
Also cannot overstate how good the dosa was.
