Hey Happy! sits quietly in Market Square facing Johnson Street. There are no big sign boards on the street, so you may miss it at first. However, their limited menu tells me they know what they are doing. The menu isn't huge but it appeals to you. I ordered their egg sandwich with a mocha and paid just upwards of $23, incl. tips.
The drink was smooth with a perfect blend of dark chocolate with milk and espresso, and their sandwich was perfect as it.

Our favourite cafe in Victoria. We go at least once a day during our trips to the city. Their baked goods are always unique and their seasonal drinks (root beer latte! iced pumpkin spice!) are always creative. Hey Happy also always has fruit-forward fancy beans for sale by various roasters.
Beautiful coffee shop located in downtown Victoria! Fantastic atmosphere, with great selection of music, lots of nice seating with outlets for laptops and fantastic coffee selection. The WIFI is fast and works well too! Highly recommend the iced turmeric vanilla latte with oat milk.
One of the cutest coffee shops I have ever been to. Great atmosphere, cute seating options, bright and airy. ALL the details were so perfect. The pastry, coffee, and food selection was top notch too.
A must-stop for coffee, baked goods, or breakfast/brunch/lunch is Hey Happy! I love the setting and the creative seating layout. The amiable host greeted us and provided us with some excellent recommendations. Great vibes. They provided excellent service. We ordered the "hey hash"and the breakfast sandwich. Both dishes were incredible since they were savoury and filled with flavour. The London fog and the flat white were both amazing complements. Highly recommend! 😁

can't say enough about their crullers! Ive had the pumpkin spice cruller twice now and its killer good. their espresso based drinks are awesome! I got an iced honey vanilla latte last time and then a hot pumpkin spice latte today. that maple coconut whip is SO good, and I love how it wasn't too sweet, the espresso still comes through. staff behind bar are great too. very cute modern cafe to sit at and chill!

Breakfast was fresh and light. Staff friendly and well ... Happy! Think there was a good range of vegetarian options for those concerned.
Atmosphere was good music set against simple seating. Felt like 60s pod seating mixed with Star Wars blue milk crockery (if you get the reference then well done)
One of the best coffee shops I've been to in North America (with no exaggeration). The staff is incredibly friendly, the space is great with plenty of seating options and natural light. But most importantly, the coffee here is incredible, offering everything from perfect pour over and espresso to some more uniquely flavored lattes and seasonal specials. Great pastries as well, including both sweet and savory handmade 'pop tarts'. This place is well worth the walk if you find yourself in downtown Victoria, and I'd say is even worth a detour if you're not! Nearby St. Cecilia is also great for no-frills coffee and an equally beautiful space, though my 2c is that Hey Happy just barely edges it out if you can only make it to one of the two.
Best coffee in Victoria. Indoor ambience is open, airy and relaxed. Music choice is excellent. Seating is also very creative with the layout. They also make their own oat milk! Come for a quick coffee or stay awhile!
