Had an amazing dinner at Keg ! Fast service, fresh tuna tartare and absolutely devine rib steak, cooked to perfection!!! With all honesty, the best steak rib among the ones I tasted in various restaurants on the islands and on the mainland! And receiving a warm , crispy bread with butter was just a cherry on the cake!
Wonderful experience selebration birthday 🎂 to start we had crab cakes and shrimp cocktail for mains pork ribs and rib eye stake m-r Chicago and cram Brule to finish.
My husband and I love to go to The Keg a few times a year, for obvious reasons, the foods always delicious and you know what to expect. We always get a full course meal, appetizer, salad, entree and dessert. Our server was excellent, friendly and entertaining. He suggested a wine and some drinks for us. Great location, clean and well managed. Our favourite Keg location on the island.
Christmas Eve 2023. Full of happy people and great food. The staff were so busy up and down the stairs. We sat upstairs where it was a little quieter. It was such a special evening and it was made even better by the care and service we received from our waitress.Kate W. She was so proud of the company she is working for and spoke of the owner in glowing terms.
We felt blessed to have her serving us.
Always a fan of the Keg. We drive down from Nanaimo to have dinner at the Keg.
It's the Keg. Had an early reservation so the service was quick. The waiter, Haden, was good. Very kind. The food is what it is. It is consistent but not the best. I would recommend anyone looking for an average priced steakhouse with fast service.

I absolutely loved this location. I go the keg often but this location in particular had such a cozy atmosphere and the server and food has top notch as usual. Service was out this world - almost alien like ;)
It was our first time here and we enjoyed our experience very much. Food is delicious - I was actually in a food coma lol
Highly recommend escargot and a steak with blue cheese.

There was only one small issue in the beginning, when we were seated at the table for two near the emergency exit. The restaurant is so lovely and sitting in a cold corner next to the door wasn’t appealing to us, so we asked to be moved, and we were. I appreciate it, but maybe the management should remove the table at all. I suspect it is not popular so why upset customers?
Work Christmas Dinner. Food was very good, steak wasn't perfect but the rest of it was! Hadn't been to the Keg in a long time. I will be back. Our server was great. The Sauce was excellent and so was the seafood on my steak oscar. The garlic mash...YUM and the beets...and I don't even like beets...ate them all. I have no idea what my meal cost as the Dr's paid for all of us. :) Merry Christmas !
The food & service is always consistent at chain restaurants. We have no concerns about the food.
Dark dim lighting, almost felt like we were eating in the dark 🥴.
This place is definitely one of my favorite places to eat a good steak. Great food, and the waitresses/waiters are always top-notch! I've been coming here for 20 years and have not been disappointed yet. My only regret is that i didn't leave a good review earlier.
