I love this place. I can never say it enough. I'm always surprised when I try something new, it's fantastic. Salmon Teriyaki that came in a hot skillet with veggies and rice? It was amazing. Totally blows every one else out of the water. The ladies who work here too are amazing. I love love love it here
Always the best! Quick service and such amazing food. It's become my favourite spot :) highly recommend
Nice atmosphere. This is a pleasant sushi place with good portions. Nothing particularly stands out to me as amazing, though it is a good ordinary sushi restaurant. For some reason my mug of Sapporo stands out as the fondest memory, it was served in a chilled glass and that's a nice touch. The sushi was ordinary, the beef udon soup ordinary, the tempura ordinary. Ordinary prices. The agadashi tofu was oddly gelatinous which is not my preference but I respect that others may like it that way. I will likely be back but no menu item in particular makes me crave it and I think it is a good but ordinary example of a sushi restaurant with its decor and location being the main draws to me bumping it up slightly on the 5 point system to 3.5.
I've gotten takeout from here a bunch of times.Never actually dined in however so I can't speak for that. Service is quick and my rolls are cheap and delicious. It's nothing super fancy, but it's not bad. I usually get four rolls, three vegetarian and one fish and it comes to 14$, so the price isn't crazy either!
I love the atmosphere and interior of this restaurant. The only complaint is the loud music. The food was delicious. I'd definitely return. Very creative rolls and fresh ingredients.
An interesting assortment of sushi rolls. Nicely renovated and spacious seating. I ordered the tuna and salmon roll lunch bento on a Sunday afternoon (comes with purple rice!). Their rolls could look a little neater... as you can see, it appears that I got the ends of the sushi rolls with the uneven rice and fish bits. If you're forgiving enough like me, try some more of their uniquely named rolls!
We had an amazing and delicious dinner experience! We went there with a group of 3, one person in their early 30s, one teenager and one pre-teen. It was a great place for all of us. The sushi was just outstanding. We had heard it was one of the better sushi places in town, and for us there was no doubt, best sushi we had had in a long time. The service was also impeccable. Every time we needed something, before we even had a chance to ask the waiter was bringing it around (water, tea, new pair of chopsticks because someone dropped theirs, etc). We highly recommend it and are definitely coming back.
Really solid sushi spot with reasonably priced rolls. We came in on a Sunday evening and were seated immediately, had very polite and friendly service. The agedashi tofu was a great starter. The karaage comes as wings instead of boneless, but they were still very good. Our maki rolls were reasonably priced and filling. We recommend the Esquimalt roll if looking for a tasty maki roll with seared fish on top.
A favourite Sushi restaurant to meet with family. Large booths & large tea mugs - both get a thumbs up from me. Food is consistently delicious. Staff is friendly and service is quick. A great local stop!
A great hidden spot at the save on plaza. Really good and yummy bento lunch deals. Good service and atmosphere.
Absolutely fantastic sushi and very reasonable prices. I agree with other reviewers that Victoria Sushi possibly is more expensive than others, but I'm not convinced. Certainly not in any way that should dissuade you!
Their food is amazing and I'll personally attest that their combos offer more for than you should eat in a single sitting. I did because it was delicious, though.
Highly recommended.
Over the last 5 years I've stopped in when I'm in the area and needing a snack.
I've always had good experiences, including today. Attentive staff, clean, and consistently fresh and tasty food.
The only thing I regret about dining here is that I should have left a review sooner - highly recommended!
Nice seating and good service! The food was just OK. The yakisoba was not great, I probably wouldn’t recommend it. The salad was yummy though! I didn’t have a chance to try the sushi but when I looked on other tables it looked good hahah
It is expensive for the quality though, I Would recommend trying their lunch special for better value.
My boyfriends mom came into town for the night on her business trip to VI and wanted sushi for dinner. We have been wanting to try this place out and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious and we will be going back very soon! It was a wee bit pricey for a few items but nonetheless it was delicious and worth it.
Friendly Staff but not attentive. The server never came to our table to see if Everything was okay. The rice was not hot nor fresh, which was dissapointing. Otherwise, food was good.
Always great service. Fast. Clean. Very affordable. Teriyaki can’t be beat! Also consistent and fresh. We are repeating offenders.
