Had an amazing dinner at Keg ! Fast service, fresh tuna tartare and absolutely devine rib steak, cooked to perfection!!! With all honesty, the best steak rib among the ones I tasted in various restaurants on the islands and on the mainland! And receiving a warm , crispy bread with butter was just a cherry on the cake!

My husband and I love to go to The Keg a few times a year, for obvious reasons, the foods always delicious and you know what to expect. We always get a full course meal, appetizer, salad, entree and dessert. Our server was excellent, friendly and entertaining. He suggested a wine and some drinks for us. Great location, clean and well managed. Our favourite Keg location on the island.

Christmas Eve 2023. Full of happy people and great food. The staff were so busy up and down the stairs. We sat upstairs where it was a little quieter. It was such a special evening and it was made even better by the care and service we received from our waitress.Kate W. She was so proud of the company she is working for and spoke of the owner in glowing terms.
We felt blessed to have her serving us.
Always a fan of the Keg. We drive down from Nanaimo to have dinner at the Keg.

It's the Keg. Had an early reservation so the service was quick. The waiter, Haden, was good. Very kind. The food is what it is. It is consistent but not the best. I would recommend anyone looking for an average priced steakhouse with fast service.

I absolutely loved this location. I go the keg often but this location in particular had such a cozy atmosphere and the server and food has top notch as usual. Service was out this world - almost alien like ;)

It was our first time here and we enjoyed our experience very much. Food is delicious - I was actually in a food coma lol

There was only one small issue in the beginning, when we were seated at the table for two near the emergency exit. The restaurant is so lovely and sitting in a cold corner next to the door wasnât appealing to us, so we asked to be moved, and we were. I appreciate it, but maybe the management should remove the table at all. I suspect it is not popular so why upset customers?

Work Christmas Dinner. Food was very good, steak wasn't perfect but the rest of it was! Hadn't been to the Keg in a long time. I will be back. Our server was great. The Sauce was excellent and so was the seafood on my steak oscar. The garlic mash...YUM and the beets...and I don't even like beets...ate them all. I have no idea what my meal cost as the Dr's paid for all of us. :) Merry Christmas !

This place is definitely one of my favorite places to eat a good steak. Great food, and the waitresses/waiters are always top-notch! I've been coming here for 20 years and have not been disappointed yet. My only regret is that i didn't leave a good review earlier.

If you looking for steak âyour wayâ, spot-on portion size, and a relaxed atmosphere with the game in the background, conversation with friends, or something âspecialâ for two, look no further than The Keg, here in Saanich. The bread is warm snd fresh, the apps are delicious, and the meat will be to your liking. Add sides, add dessert and you have a great dining experience. And if Justin is your Server, ask your questions, get things done your way. Do not overlook The Keg for your next evening out. Reservations strongly recommended - popularity grows. Parking can be an issue but the turnover is good.

I've been in the industry for nearly 20 years in fine dining/high volume and dined all over the world, including at Michelin star rated establishments.
Our server tonight was one of the best I've ever had- anywhere. If he is reading this like I do while keeping my finger on the pulse of what's going on, you're good at what you do and obviously very intuitive. Those talents can't be taught. It's a gift.
Owners, hold onto this guy with a vice grip. Staff like that are bloody hard to come by.
We were at table 16 with a 6:45 reso under Cameron on Sunday night.

There were 5 of us. Each meal was very good. Steaks were cooked to each person's taste. Each steak was well seasoned. Me twice baked potato was tasty. I would have liked some sour cream with it. The Caesar salad that Each person had was a generous serving for the appetizer it was nicely dressed and was not bland or too garlicky. No one had room for dessert because the portions are generous and there was freshly baked bread to be had before the meal started. I was the only one having just water to drink and my glass was topped up without having to ask. Our server, Domenic was attentive and pleasant and made sure everyone had what they needed. My filet mignon was tender and cooked to medium rare perfection. One diner enjoys his steaks blue and his was perfect. The two teriyaki steaks were well seasoned and cooked perfectly to their desired medium. It was a birthday celebration and a complementary dessert was given and taken home to enjoy at a later time. We did not feel rushed and enjoyed a very good meal in a room that was very busy without noticing it. It was a very enjoyable early evening dining experience. We will be back.

This place is one good spot to bring your date or family for dinner. With a nice touch of class not to over the top. The service here is also amazing the staff here work super hard to make sure your meal is to your liking. While I was here I had the salmon dish with mash spuds and a side Oscar sauce for my meal. Which was a great touch for this seafood dinner of champions. Trust me this dish will put the party back in your mouth for an all night celebration.

I came here for my niece's birthday. I had the pistachio crusted salmon with sautéed brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes. The salmon was cooked perfectly. It was a large piece, had good flavor and was not dry at all. The mash potatoes and brussel sprouts also has good flavor.
The Billy Miner pie was on the house as it was a birthday celebration.
Our waiter was friendly and attentive.
The kids loved their cheesey noodles from the kids menu.
Overall, it was good food and a good experience.
