Nice gastropub across the street from the Empress. Small outdoor seating area was nice. The fish and chips were very well done. Crispy shoestring fries with a nice batter on the chicken. Service was a bit terse but they weren’t too busy, at least it seemed, but the food came out relatively quickly.
I can’t give it a five star review because they messed up my daughter’s sushi and put onions all over it when we had very specifically ordered it plain. Then they didn’t ask if we wanted another one…She sort of just asked if we could pick the onions off and walked away. Also, I ordered my steak rare, and it came very medium if not well done. Food was pretty good though, especially the field greens, which seemed extremely fresh! My bloody Mary was also very very tasty.
One of the best places to enjoy a casual meal at Commons. We enjoyed tacos, wine, beer and cocktails during the happy hour. The menu may be limited but pretty ok for the price and happy hours. Chicken tacos are delicious. Flat breads are perfectly made and a good enough portion for a quick snack. The house wines, red and white are average but not too bad for the price.
The place has nice modern funky decor so won't feel the place as a boring restaurant. Fun place overall for happy hour
Great late evening experience with a varied and appealing 'Late Happy Hour' food and drink menu. Patio is a wonderful spot to dine and watch the city go by. Server Janessa was a helpful, fun, and efficient final touch to our excellent experience.
We came just for a couple of drinks and had lovely experience. Service was quick and friendly. Atmosphere is very cosy. Next time will definitely try their food.
Good ceviche, a bit pricey. The prawn tacos were amazing. The meat tacos were really good but we preferred the prawn ones. The drinks are always 👌 the server gave us more chips for the ceviche, which is great
The location of this restaurant is great. I went with my 12 year old daughter. We ordered the clam chowder, calamari and tuna salad. The clam chowder and calamari were good. The tuna was dry and the potatoes undercooked. And strangely, at the end of our meal the server asked us if we wanted separate bills which made us think, how common is it that a 40 year old and their 12 year old friend dine there and pay separately?
We picked this place because they have a dog friendly patio, but the food and drinks here actually exceeded our expectation that we loved everything so much! The cocktails are all so yummy. The fried chicken is so juicy. Calamari had a twist, the batter is curry flavoured, which is very unique. The lasagne is very soft and rich and the spicy salmon roll is decent too. Most importantly, you can see the beautiful inner harbour if you sit on the patio. Overall, if you're looking for a happy hour place in the inner harbour, this is the place to be!
Ate outside on patio which is right next to sidewalk. Great view of the harbour and fun to watch people go by. Were there during happy hour. Good deals to be had on burgers, beers and some other drinks.

Amazing patio with their happy hour! Oysters were a must for us and the freshness & quality did not disappoint. Great environment coupled by amazing service by Kendra. Will definitely be back ^_^
