I have been wanting to write about My Frosty for a long time. This is a Korean Dessert Café serving one of the highest quality bingsoo in town. I came here in various occasions where I was refused to be served due to the amount of customers in the store. When there are not much customers in the store, their service is generally pretty good. My Frosty Korean Dessert Café is located on Renfrew Street near 1st Avenue in Vancouver.
A new Korean dessert cafe opened up in First Avenue Marketplace, which is a pretty convenient location for me so I added it to my list! In true fashion, it took many months before I actually came to try this place. There is plenty of free parking in the marketplace and also on the street.
Cutest bingsoo ever, topped w a mochi taiyaki and probably the sweetest snow I’ve had too. The single was the perfect amount to feed my boyfriend & I. We also ordered a basket of 6 mini taiyakis for $4. They were alright in my opinion, only because there was very little filling in all of them
One of my favourite desserts in the world is Shaved Ice (patbingsu) and I’m so glad that it has become trendy and popular in Vancouver. Although Passion8 is still my first choice, My Frosty is slowly but surely climbing it’s way to number one in my heart. What I love about My Frosty is that their shaved ice is flavoured! That means everybite has flavour which is super important when you’re eating frozen water/milk!
Matcha Bingsoo | $12 (large)
This cold weather still did not stop me from eating shaved ice 😍 I tried most of the bingsoo places in Vancouver, except this one. It is hidden in a corner, and it is cozy with warm lighting inside💡Similar to other places, they have the common flavors, such as matcha, injeolmi, blueberry, and Oreo, etc. We ordered a matcha bingsoo, and it is very fluffy and light 😳 There are red beans, rice cakes, and green tea ice cream for toppings, but there are not much in between. I was hoping there are more layers, so you won't be only eating ice after 😅 The portion is quite generous, and it is just a perfect size for two people.

Well worth the price. This place was busy even though we went around 9:30ish. We ordered the blueberry frosty. There were lots of blue berries, 2 scoops of icecream, 4 small pieces of cheesecake, 2 pocky sticks, and tons of shaved ice.
‘Tis the season for shaved ice desserts and a new Korean dessert cafe opened in East Vancouver a few months ago. New to the dessert scene is My Frosty which specializes in shaved ice dessert or bingsoo (also known as “patbingsu” or “bingsu”). Looking to cool off from a warm summer day, I visited My Frosty with my family to try a few of their desserts.
Tried this place for the first time yesterday. The matcha bingsu didn't melt the whole time we were eating it. They should put more red bean in it though. The toast box was soft, warm, and buttery. So good! Will surely go back!
Matcha bingsoo was delicious, not too sweet nor bitter. Don't be deceived by the small bowls, there is actually a generous amount of inside them. Everything about this place was extremely pretty and instagram-worthy. The one downside is the price: $10-$13 per bowl is quite costly. Splitting the I'll amount friends would be a good idea. Nonetheless, I look forward to coming back here and trying new flavours!
My Frosty - Korean Dessert Cafe is a great place for bingsu and one we will head to whenever we have a craving for delicious Korean desserts, which is quite often :)

We came here to try their injeolmi bingsoo. We tried it at snowy village and passion 8. This one at My Frosty was actually good or better than the one we had at Snowy Village. The shaved ice was not just white shaved ice. It was having some injeolmi flavour and mixing with red beans and red bean paste, some corn flakes, coconut (or something sweet) and cubes of mochi. We ordered a large bingsoo instead of a small one because two of us were sharing.
When we stepped into the restaurant around 9pm, it was quite busy having many customers but we were lucky to find a table and a white couch. It was quite comfortable. We ordered the bingsoo and paid at the counter. Then we waited at our table. A server brought us a bowl of injeolmi bingsoo.
I saw someone said on the review that there was no water. Indeed I went to three bingsoo restaurants, they would not give out water. You could ask for it or sometimes the restaurant would put a big container of water and let the customers get water by themselves. I think it is fair enough.
I would like to come back and try other dishes next time.
Love their bingsoo, the ambience, and the people!
Went to try their Injeolmi Bingsoo today for the first time. It was soo yummy! The place is cozy too. We wanted to order the mango bingsoo, but too bad our stomach was already full. Soo.. see you again My Frosty! We'll come back for sure 😉👍
Came here a few days after they first opened. The decor inside is nice and it has a nice vibe to it. Order at the counter first and then they'll bring out your order. We tried the mango bingsoo. I really liked their bingsoo. The mangos were sweet but a little bit tart, which worked well. There was plenty of topping to go with the shaved ice/milk. I felt like there was a good ratio and I wasn't left with just shaved ice/milk in the end. Overall, it was a great tasting dessert. I noticed now they have added cornflakes and other little toppings to their dessert now. So I'll need to go back and try out more. But this place is definitely worth a try!
