Expensive sushi rolls but delicious.
If you come here, try the Kerr roll. The deep fried tuna is moist & the tempura prawn is crispy. Great seasoning sauces that give this roll that extra yum factor!
Today, I met up with my friend Dina for lunch before Sunday service at Nishiki Sushi, located at a convenient spot on 49th Ave at Victoria Drive. The restaurant was surprisingly empty during a weekend lunch hour, but this is one of Dina's favourite restaurants in the area and I always pass by...
This place is popular with the highschool kids near by, and of course the locals. It's Chinese runned and the reviews are mixed. So I thought I give it a shot. I ordered the fraser view roll and dynamite for take out. Service is friendly and fast. The rolls are delicious and hey, not bad. I would come back for take out again. For the folks who are reading, don't be expecting a authentic Japanese experience. But if your looking for a sushi fix and some place different, can't go wrong with the rolls.
I'm surprised to read all the bad reviews. I went in with a friend for lunch and the lady served us right away and was really friendly! We both ordered the lunch teriyaki set and although the sushi was a bit chewy to my liking, the chicken & yam tempura were good !:) it's decent but wouldn't be urging to come back
Surprisingly delicious!. Seeing that the reviews for this place were not so great, I was not expecting my meal to be good! But the food was a surprise hit! I ordered two dinner box sets. The Salmon belly box set which came with yam roll, tempura, salad and miso and the sashmi box set which came with 2 pcs of tuna and salmon, yam roll, tempura, salad and miso. Both were delicious and portions are large and quite fresh. Also ordered a 6 pcs special sushi whereby the fish was cooked using a blow torch. The presentation and aroma on the fish was incredible. We had the saba, salmon belly and unagi all done to perfection, no soy sauce needed, just insert in mouth :) I will be coming back to try their special rolls.
U have to try their California Roll and their signature roll... I live 45 min away but I always come there everytime Im craving for good sushi.
I used to live around that neighbourhood, this current business obviously is the best so far. very creative rolls, I brought friends who don't eat rolls to this place and they love it. I have to say that they are not the authentic type of Japanese sushi, but more fusion maybe, but all we want is good food. I moved far away, but we come back once a while.
Great food! Really fresh sushi. Price is awesome too
Are you a food snob? How do you feel when the chef that makes Japanese food is not Japanese? Are you a bit wary of the food? Do you think the food is less authentic? I’d say, I’m a teensy bit of a food snob. I’m even a bit wary of myself when I make Pho.
Pretty tired after a full day of exploring Vancouver, we wanted something easy and nearby for dinner. The rain had picked up, which really makes me crave warm comforting soup. We decided on Nishiki Sushi at 49th Avenue & Victoria Drive which is one of our
We've found an amazing hidden gem!!! I'm so excited to talk about this restaurant. I went to Nishiki with a friend a couple of years ago and wasn't impressed. So when Rockia suggested that we give it a try I was a bit hesitant. However, the moment I walke
