I was craving milk tea all day, and finally got my share YAY! It was my first time trying this place and it definitely didn't disappoint. The lines were huge and I was super impressed by the stylish interior design (for a tea house at least) and the spaciousness of the place. There are tables where students can sit down and do work- a bit like the Asian version of Starbucks. I ordered the Milk tea icecream with pearls and my boyfriend ordered the Mango Smoothie with Mango jelly and pearls.
What I really liked was the option to have half pearls, half jelly for the price of only one topping. I can never finish my toppings, so this was a fantastic alternative!! I will DEFINITELY be coming back for more milk tea!
Place has been here at least 10 years. Taiwanese style bubble tea cafe with good smoothies as well. Nice hang out and we are here all the time. The drinks are good. The chairs tables and couches are very beat up and have been used for as long as I can remember, so 10 years! And it shows.
GAH, I went all the way to school on Tuesday - not knowing that UBC was closed for READING BREAK. When I got there it dawned on me: "Wait a second...there's no one here!!" I spent 2 and a half hours commuting...for nothing!! *facepalm* Such is my life. I should've checked online...it was a mistake on my part. On the bright side, I get to sleep in...FOR AN ENTIRE WEEK! Wooo! Anyways, during one of my breaks the other day, I went to Pearl Fever for some drinks! Pearl Fever is a bubble tea shop with locations in UBC, SFU, Coquitlam, and Surrey! The one at UBC is located in the Village, beside Vera's Burger Shack!
It was surprisingly busy when I went, there was a huge linep! I didn't have to wait long to get my drink though, they're super quick about churning out orders!
have never been a huge fan of bubble tea. But since my friend insisted on us meeting there, I thought fine I will give bubble tea another try.
Didn't end up getting bubble tea anyway. I ordered the red bean milk (warm) which was neither too sweet nor bland. The staffs were pretty friendly when I asked about the drink.
The only downside was the atmosphere. It's a bit strange of a place to hang out since most people just come and go. We were the only two who stayed after we ordered the drinks.
Price was ok. Average west side price.
Great bubble tea but a bit pricey.
Amazing fresh taro bubble tea!! Might be the best in town!
Its noted that the owners of Pearl Fever took their inspiration from the valuable gemstone that most people associate with their namesake. But it would
