Tea Wok is located just steps away from the BCIT downtown campus. It has a big menu, serving many Taiwanese favourites. We tried a number of things. Even though it was a hit and miss for me, there were many good things about the restaurant. It’s a good option for lunch and dinner, and very convenient for students and those who work nearby.

I had Taiwanese beef noodle and deep fried chicken. Both were good and had the taste of Taiwan which is a bit less salty and lighter taste. Imo it tastes better over bubble world and most of the BBT places in Richmond .

I had honey green tea plus pearl. It wasn't too sweet which I like and pearls were chewy like gummy.

They must have a new chef and food are much better than it was, I will recommend to give it a try !

Tea Wok Asian Cuisine is located next to BCIT in Downtown Vancouver on 551 Seymour Street. There are not a lot of Taiwanese restaurants there, so it was nice to add a little variety to the everyday grind. This restaurant offers menu options with set meals, appetizers, hot pot, soup noodles and rice. I also like that they have bubble tea, slushes and shaved ice.

I have been reading other people's review and most of them were complaining about the service. Maybes he time I visited they are not busy so the service is not as described.

I am from Richmond and there are lot of options for BBT so by comparing with food and drinking think Tea Wok is pretty good. I tried BEEF NOODLES, 3 cup chicken (if you like tradition TW style then it's Good but if you like heavy taste then no), deep fried chicken (different the ones from Richmond), fried rice ( good texture which they used over night rice to fry).

Drinks, I tried honey green tea, yakult green tea and tradition BBT, although the the ingredients and water in Canada are different so it is not the same as TW but I would say it's close.

If I ever come to DT, I will come to eat here again.

Enjoyed my soup!. I enjoyed my first visit to Tea Wok for soup. I am always on the lookout for good noodle places near my work and stumbled upon Tea Wok. The decor is much nicer than I expected and the food and service was a nice surprise. There is a little button box on the table that you can use to call your server or call for the bill, I have never seen that before. I was a bit surprised at 10.50 price of the taiwanese beef soup, but the chicken thigh soup was a good price. I will be back.

We were craving bubble tea, so googled “bubble tea downtown” and found our way to “Tea Wok”, a block away from the Granville skytrain station. Walking to, we noticed a yellow Hummer parked out front, its personalize licence plate read, “TEA WOK”. Quite the way to advertise their business. Looking in from the gloom and rain things were bright and colourful. Walking in, you are immediately greeted by the same impression. On your left, a cardboard standee of two characters with their faces cut out. The opening allows you the opportunity to place your face into the holes and take a picture. Clever, as their usual demographic loves a random photography opportunity. On your right is a mini boutique of impulse items. A shopping opportunity for iPhone cases, stationary, and make up. Things their clientele might appreciate and purchase. Hello Kitty wine and mascara; novelty USB drives in fingers, beers, and tea pots; and a range of goods from locked iPhones to beauty products.
