Many, many years ago, there was a pizza joint located in Champlain Heights called Hometown Pizza that we’d often grab takeout from. The mom and pop shop left the area and we eventually forgot all about them. Recently, we noticed a Hometown Pizza that was located on 57th Ave and Knight Street so we decided to drop by and see if it was in fact the same place.
We have had Hometown Pizza on a couple occasions now and it has bee terrific. Pizza has great flavour, lasagna is made with homemade meat sauce and the fish and chips were outstanding., as was the service. We will be ordering again for sure.
My better half and I have been ordering from Hometown Pizza for over three years, and I can honestly say I have never once been let down. Quality ingredients (Creamy chicken pizza is to die for, pic attached), consistently made, perfect crust, and delivery always comes HOT. Screw Domino's, this right here is some of the best pizza in Vancouver.

I've been ordering from this place for years. Even after new ownership this place continues to make great pizza and other dishes like lasagna. I can always count on it to be fresh and cooked just the way I want it. Also they have a super friendly staff!
Non-chain favourite. Been ordering pizza from them since the 1980's. They switch ownership later on, but the recipe/ingredients have been passed on and stayed true to the original owners and the pizza still tastes as good as when I remembered as a kid. The pizza is baked in a pan and can get greasy in the middle, so you have to eat it hot and fresh! The original special pizzas are always great and they really load up on the toppings (The Flame is my personal favorite). Never had a problem with their service and if you pick-up your pizza, you get two cans of pop for free (back in the 1980's they use to give you a classic 750ml glass bottle of pop with your pick-up).
Delicious pizzas, customer service..could use a little work.. I can't complain about the pizzas here, the sauces are incredible and the owner (I think he's the owner) is very friendly. But often than not, when I come in, I would see two ladies sitting behind the counter just talking to each other. Even after we made eye contact, they still talked to each other for like 5 minutes. but sometimes they could be very helpful.

My dad works down in vancouver,and my family and i wanted pizza for dinner. we had tried hometown before and loved it. when he brought the 2 large we were surprised to see the wonderfull butter chicken and butter paneer sauses on the pizzas. my mom and sister are vegtarian so they had the paneer sause but my dad and i had both and they were fabulous. i have had many butter chicken and butter paneer but this was the best! it's also not that expensive and worth my money!

Lucky to have these guys in East Vancouver / Richmond!. I walked in and wanted to order Pizza after work.I go up Knight street everyday and decided to stop right along Knight and 57th ther. I've always seen them (as they have been there since 1980!!) but never went in.
So glad I did!!
Inside I met Mandeep and his wife Molaka. Their 2 kids were there. It has family business, literally written all over it. I decided to order their Hometown Special Pizza. The service was fantastic!! Such a nice couple who care very much about their customers. I chatted with them while I was waiting.
The pizza came and i was really "wow'd" by the generous amount of pepporoni, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, Cheese and Beef.
I could see why these guys have been around for so long. They know how to cook a pizza. Not that expensive either! They have fish and chips, and......
