We arrived just before closing and the staff were so gracious. The Eel was fantastic
Service was good as was the food! You can't beat the price, so much food for a great price!! Will be returning 100%
Prices of foods are affordable, excellent taste and friendly staff.
This place is the cats meow..
Great sushi..
Great service..
Great prices..
Skip the dishes take out fix.
The chicken yaki soba was a little oily. The saltiness was there.
The tempura vegetables were crisp & crunchy.
The baked scallop roll was amazing. The slight char of the scallops lifted the flavour profile of the roll. Beautifully presented but pricey at $9.95 for 8 pieces/ 1 roll.
My recommendation- treat yourself once in a while & get the baked scallop roll.
First time at the Bang.
Better than I expected.
Good miso soup and very tasty rolls.
... Not to mention filling
Got me a hot night roll & a crunch roll.
Both were great but will try the sashimi next trip!!
Shout out to what's probably my favorite casual takeout sushi spot in North America. The sashimi is extremely fresh, the menu always features fun specials, and prices pretty incredible. Gold standard for good cheap eats.
Great place to grab a quick bite to eat. I keep coming back because it is so close to my place and had great prices. I always stick to sushi and have had bad experiences when I get into the teriyaki chicken/beef..
I really like this sushi place, it’s close to my house and they have an amazing deal where you can get three rolls for 6.45! It’s such a great deal and that deal is available through the day. They make their rolls very fast so I never end up waiting to long for my order whether it’s a take out order or a dine in order. The staff there is very friendly too and are very on top of it with their tea service, and that’s really commendable. I definitely recommend this place!
For a sushi fix. I sporadically hit this joint up before work. Decent pricing & satiating; loving their Tiger Roll.
No complaints. Decent sushi for a low price. Don't expect high end sushi from here.
Can't Complain. I had the Chicken Bento Box for $7.95, which includes chicken teriyaki, green salad, tempura (shrimp and veg), cali roll, and miso soup. The food is not stellar, but I ate the whole thing and it tasted fine. It is good value for what you get. The only place I've been where I get a similar bento for less is Ikura in Marpole.
The restaurant was small, but hopping with patrons on a Saturday afternoon. If you have a craving for emergency sushi for not much money, this restaurant fits the bill.
Decent sushi. Sushi lovers have a lot of choice in Vancouver. Some is excellent; some, not so much. Sushi Bang isn't the best of the best, but it's a long way from the bottom of the heap. We usually order takeout - it's my first choice if I'm going to be taking away. One quibble would be the hours: it closes at 9, which is too early for a city of this size.
Not on the A list; but definitely a good solid B+
Excellent!. Ever since we discovered Sushi bang, my girlfriend and I go there once or twice a week. It's safe to say that we've been there 30 times at least. Sushi Bang is our favourite sushi place! The servers are quiet and reserved but are very nice and polite. The service is always fast. The sushi rolls are always neat, beautifully done, and the plating is always pretty. There are days when our salmon sashimi pieces are big, and days when the pieces are small. Their spicy salmon roll is the best I've ever had though. They do it without cucumber, and it has a bit of a tempura crunch. Their Takotaki is also the best I've had. Cream Cheese Salmon Roll, Cream Cheese Dynamite roll, Bristol Roll, Avacado Yam Roll, Calamari roll = all are excellent choices.
In the roughly 30 times I've ever been, only once have I had slow service, and only once did they mix up my order by giving me a regular salmon roll instead of a spicy one. The servicers are incredibly successful when it comes to taking orders. The sushi chefs are very fast. We are always greeted with smiles. We always leave happy and full.
I'll always be loyal to sushi bang!
Great fast food sushi spot. The restaurant is tiny - only about 5 tables. It is great for fast sushi during lunch time or take out. The quality is great for the price and it definitely beats grabbing food court meals.
BEST SUSHI!. Its kind of one of those hole in the wall places.. well maybe most sushi places are like that... but this one has great value.. $5.95 gets you 18pc combo w/ miso soup.. and their tempura yam roll is seriously the best ever. good service too..
Service at Sushi Bang is okay, although I’m usually waiting a while for my food. I like the dynamite and spicy tuna but I’ve never really ventured far from my go-to rolls here. The BBQ Eel wasn’t the best I’ve had though.Next time I’m trying the Canuck Roll: yam, avocado, salmon. Below I’ve got the BBQ Eel, Spicy Dynamite, and classic Yam.
I've been a frequent customer of the inexpensive $5.99 and $6.99 sushi combos that Sushi Bang has. It's not the most amazing sushi in the world, but it's good. And more importantly, it's not very expensive. Sushi Bang is good sustenance sushi, quick and g
