First time in the restaurant today and the staff was incredibly kind and overly cautious about my allergy. The food was fast and really good-- I've never had such a spicy bowl it was so good! Will definitely be back.
This has been the first time I have tried this. It was a pleasant experience. The staff is very welcoming like a traditional Japanese eatery. The spicy salmon was just right for me with the thinly spiced jalapenos in them. Eating raw fish on top of a bowl of warm rice was something new. Enjoyed the mixture of spicy, sweet and savory taste of the meal. A great addition to all the fantastic food we get here in the Lower Mainland.
This was my 1st time here, great experience, generous portions compared to some of their competitors, lots of fresh options and the staff was very knowledgeable and friendly, will definitely be coming back!
First time for poke. Staff were really good at explaining and suggestions
I have a bit of a different story, but a very positive review.
While I was visiting, my bike was stolen.
Nathan, the owner, just happened to walk in a few minutes later. The staff was AMAZING. We got a video of the thief from the security camera, the owner handed me their phone and had me report it on the spot, even emailed a copy of the video to me for prosecution purposes.
WAY TO GO! 10/10 customer support, he really went the extra mile!
Thanks, Hooked staff!
Tried the Twin Dragon Bowl last night and damn it was good! Def going back for more
Really delicious, fresh food. All the signature bowls, including the Tofu and the Veggie bowls, are excellent.
Tonight was my first time, and it's not gonna be my last! Thank you for the fresh, nutritious & yummy food
Great service and amazing food. Loved it. I'll be back soon.
So fresh and healthy! Love the tofu and sweet potato bowl!
I’m back on the poke bandwagon again! I’ve pretty much tried almost all the poke places now and I was going to cross Hooked Poke Bar off my list too. Hooked Poke Bar is located on the corner of Hornby and Nelson and it’s also next to the second location of Pokerrito. That’s intense competition!
I personally am in love with the idea of poke bowls. It consists of everything I enjoy and I love how you can customize your own bowl. I recently tried a new poke bar in Downtown called Hooked Poke Bar. They are located on 995 Hornby Street and is walking distance from Robson Street. On their menu, they offer signature bowls, such as their Original Tuna bowl, Citrus Salmon, Twin Dragon…etc, just to name a few. They offer the bowls in two sizes, either REGULAR ($14.00) OR LARGE ($16.00). I asked the owner what was the difference between the two sizes and he told us the sashimi was measured by weight. I forget what he mentioned in terms of weight measurement for each size. Anyways, Phil and I just went for the REGULAR size bowl. They also offer complimentary lemon water on the side, incase you need a refreshment and did not purchase a drink.
