The roast lamb shoulder is easily the best in the city. Great service by the manager.
I’ve passed by Nammos Estiatorio many times when buying Earnest Ice Cream next door, but this is the first time I try it. I’ve got to be honest, Nammos took me back to my vacation in Greece immediately. The food, the atmosphere, the patio, even the summer breeze reminds me of my time in Greece. This authentic Greek restaurant is right next to Earnest Ice Cream on Fraser St, close to King Edward Av.
We were on Fraser looking for a suitable happy hour pitstop. Their sandwich board outside had us pausing with $3 high balls, $4 tap beers, and either house red or white at $5. And we quickly found ourselves walking into “Nammos Estiatorio” to take advantage. The open space was divided by upholstered booths. A pretty simple setting with black framed photos, painted portraits, and Grecian artifacts. We grabbed a booth by the door and quickly ordered before the hour would no longer be so “happy”.
My favorite local place for calamari and a happy hour drink. The atmosphere is comfortable and the wait staff is friendly.
Note that the brunch time has changed to 10:30 on weekends (found that out after showing up way too early).
Call your friends, family, and neighbours! You’ll need them to join you on a delicious traditional Greek dining experience at Nammos Estiatorio in Fraserhood. At Nammos Estiatorio, the menu is designed for family-style sharing and rightfully so – there are many interesting and tasty dishes you’ll want to try.
Finally, an upscale Greek restaurant in Vancouver!
So happy to have this new addition to our neighbourhood. Not the usual Greek menu, everything is a la carte, you put together your own meal of small plates. Everything is amazing, a notch above the usual Greek fare.
We went here last night for a birthday party. I've been here before, so I knew what to expect. They have a nice set up, very modern and simple; it works well with the restaurant lay out.
We ordered Calamari, tzatziki, and Dolmades for appetizers. The calamari was fantastic, and they give you this beat based dip, which is different but delicious. The Dolmades have never been a favourite of mine, but my girlfriend is vegan so she ordered them. The tzatziki was delicious, warm bread, tasty dip, just smal portioned.
For entree we both ordered the lamp, which was hearty and delicious. It falls off the bone, had great consistent taste and was a HUGE portion. It comes with Greek potatoes and dip.
WOULD RECOMMEND. Easily one of the best Greek restaurants in Vancouver. They're relatively new, so I would recommend it. Good price and good vibes. Upside, there's an earnest ice cream next door!
