Review Pizza Garden - Vancouver

MORI N.
This place has a lot of potential. But, the pizza just wasn't up to par. We ordered half smoked salmon and half supremo. It only comes in one size. Large. Our pizza cost $33 and they charge extra for half and half, which makes sense....sort of. What let it down was how the pizza was made. When you're paying premium prices for a pizza, and this is on the very high price range, you'd expect better quality. The salmon half...we couldn't even taste any salmon, as you will see on the pics...barely any. It comes with an alfredo sauce, which again barely any, so it ended up tasting quite dry. Also, with some meatier pizzas if the outer part of the crust is slightly toasty....that's fine but not the top part of the pizza, which you will again see in the pics was burnt. The supremo half of the pizza looked and tasted like an anorexic one. Overall, both sides of the pizza and the overall taste was just....well....blahhh. For 33 bucks I'll try a different pizza place next time!

Very hit or miss though recently more miss. When made right the pizza is good but you never know if the pizza you order will be made well. Quality just varies. Also in the past once you made your order they would usually give you a call to confirm it and to let you know of the wait time. Now however, they don't and you have no idea when your pizza will arrive because there is no time estimate anywhere. Ended up waiting 1h 45min for a pizza that was honestly not good. It came burnt and a bit of it was stuck to the carboard box. Another time before that I ordered a pizza to go at the physical location. Stood there waiting for 30min even though it didn't seem busy. One nice employee saw that I was still standing there and asked if I was waiting for something. He then saw that the pizza was already made and waiting but nobody had given it to me. He apologized and reheated it for me because it got cold at that point. The service and quality is not worth the price.

My go to neighborhood pizza place. The quality was generally better before the pandemic, now it’s quite hit or miss. Often now the pizza isn’t even cut all the way through, or I’ve gotten a couple pizzas cut only into quarters lol. And sometimes there isn’t an even spread of toppings. But the crust is the best 👌🏻

If you like multiple hairs in your pizza - this is your place to go! - Pizza was alright though! (Both blond)

Absolutely delicious Pollo Excellente pizza! Fresh as ever and seasoned to perfection. Friendliest delivery drivers as well. Thank you Pizza Garden Smithe Street!

I’ll start saying I’ve been a regular client for a few years now, probably ordering between 2-3 times a week. Usually the delivery time is 40-45 min. Today I received the WORST customer service. Not only I never received the pizza even though that I called 3 times in 1 hour and 45 min to check in. Basically they just told me the delivery driver was stuck in traffic for more than an hour and that’s it, they never gave me a solution. They just lost a great client 👎🏼

Excellent service! 😊 Not enough tomato sauce.. left the slices rather rich in flavour, lacking in zest and key savoury sauciness. Balance is essential. 🍅 Perfect crust, as always! 💕

The pizza overall tastes ok, however, my pizza had a few slices burned. I reached out to the branch and got completely ignored. I also got indigestion the next morning for the second consecutive time after having their pizza, maybe because it is too greasy. Again no response from the branch. I used to have good experiences with Pizza Garden in the past but won't be returning anytime soon.

Best Pizza Slice in Vancouver. :)

Better than most of the other pizza chains around the area. I've always liked their pizza better straight out of the over rather than taking it home.
The dough is good and they have plenty of interesting options.

I paid $15 dollars for what can only be described as sparse and falsely advertised. The pizza had hardly any toppings and they advertise the pizza as 14 inches in diameter. I measured and I got a 12.5 inch pizza.

Really disappointing and I'm going to share this on all the review boards because I feel cheated.

Ok I gotta admit.... This is pretty good pizza wow. My girlfriend ordered one of everything for our friends and looking at them all, these guys are very organized in execution on gourmet pizzas. I'm not a big fan of veggie pizzas but everyone of them tasted amazing. Would I have it again? Definitely a yes. After a strange experience at non stop pizza, this place raised the standards. I would say it's almost, just almost as good as pizza farina.

It had been a few months since my last visit to Pizza Garden. I had attended the grand opening of their newest location in Mount Pleasant and tried a few of their delicious varieties. I was eager for some comforting pizza so my family and I ventured to the Pizza Garden closest to us right in the heart of Downtown Vancouver.

Man oh man! This place knows how to make pizza..

Ordered online, got a call confirming my order, and literally got my pizza delivered within 15 mins piping hot.

The Capricciosa pizza didn't look like anything crazy, but the ingredients, sauce and crust was something else.

Absolutely Delish! I can't wait to try another kind.

The name had us thinking it was all about vegetables or no-meat. This isn't all bad since I have had some great marinara pizza and pasta, because it is all about a good foundation; which is the sauce. But we decided to check it out anyway. It has a pick-and-walk away feel with the typical pizza under glass display. What we were surprised about was that the pizza wasn't under glass for long. As fast as a new one was displayed, another one was cut and divided for outreached hands. The pie is made on a crispy, thin crust without too much "bread" which often ends up as a heavy dough ball in the gut. The toppings were fresh and plentiful with beautiful banquet and flavour. We will return and look forward to additional locations.

Disgusting food! Disgusting service! A two hour wait for cold rubbery garbage. The delivery guy made no apology. He offered no compensation. I wish I hadn't answered the door when he finally showed up. I wish I had eaten my $23 instead of giving it to these losers. My stomach would be happier for it.

Went here for a quick lunch, and definitely is one of the more impressionable pizza, as most of the pizza have thick crust in vancouver, this one just like straight outa brooklyn have thin crust, and is sold individuallly as well. as for the taste, it's actually quite good. definitely love the combination of the ingredientts that they use, and definitely worth to try.

overall i would recommend this place for quickbite, however there are other good places for pizza as well, and many other tons of good food in downtown. but this definitely is a safe pick for a quick slice of pizza in dt.

One of the better pizzas that Vancouver has to offer, and the prices are reasonable, too! Fire oven definitely makes a huge difference - the crust is just heavenly!

LOVE this place! It is our go to place downtown when we don't feel like cooking, want pizza or just need some comfort food. I always get the margharita and it is delicious. And the garlic dipping sauce is AMAZING... Always get extra!!!

Horrible service. Ordered 2 pizzas Saturday night and they never showed up with my order. I called to let them know the next day and never received a callback from the manager. Finally reached out AGAIN to the manager in which he stated I needed to be more clear about my phone number/buzzer #. Even thought he admitted the driver accidentally pushed in the wrong number for my buzzer (even though the correct one was on file). No apology, just blame on the customer. They have lost my business.

Pizza Garden is the BEST !. Wow! what a Pizza ! This is going to go viral in the franchising world ! It was started by the same guy who started Megabite !

Must stop if you're craving pizza. Great pizza in downtown Van.

The best ever.. I can not believe people compare this pizza to others on Granville.Pizza Garden is the real deal if you really know what actual pizza taste like.
I must say they have the best pizza close to Napolitan style.I love you Pizza Garden so please continue what you are doing, cause you doing well.
No Dessert Im Full
Too expensive for a pizza by slice, price certainly wasnt justified by the quality, maybe i hit them on an off day... Megabite all the way!

Yummy Yummy in my Tummy!. It's not "pizza":
Of course it's not! This is something totally different. If you want a triangle slice of oily, cheesy traditional pizza, this isn't your spot. This is a thin-crusted, topping-covered, light but surprisingly filling pizza that bears little resemblance to what you might be used to. Don't think of it like regular pizza, and it won't disappoint you.
The staffs of Pizza Garden are also obviously well trained. I recommend this place to anyone who likes authentic neapolitan pizza.

I've never been to the actual restaurant but always order delivery thru them. The pizza is quick and delicious. It's my go to on unplanned dinner nights.

Good crust, terrible sauce. My friend insisted that this pizza joint is better than Megabite and Romanos. So we went there to have our lunch. well the oven was nice, though no wood burning, and the crust was good as well but the sauce tasted sweet not tomato sweet but sugar sweet. I am sure these guys put a lot of sugar in their sauce. I like sweet but not on my pizza. After I pointed out that to my friend she agreed with me. I am not going back unless they change their sauce to real pizza sauce not this disgusting mixture.

I recently ordered a large pizza for delivery for the first time and was not disappointed. The pizza arrived in good time, was hot and delicious. This is now my new first choice option when ordering pizza for delivery.

Defenitely very special !!!. I have had pizzas on Granville strret such as Megabite, Ramano etc... My friend told me about Pizza Garden in downtown ( Smithe St. x Granville St.) and I tried 2 slices of pizza. The place is nothing specail but the pizza was amazing!!! The quality of pizza was exeptional and very fresh. This type of pizza usually only get in high end restaurants. Now I go there almost every week. My favarite is pizza with Arugula. It is so yummy!!!
I defenitely recommend to everyone to try out.

Definitely good. The delivery was hot and fresh, different from the normal, decent price. Toppings were great, except the chicken seemed a little cheap. I'll order again.

Outstanding Pizza. We love our Pizza's and for the last few years we have been trying various Pizza outlets in Vancouver. We just tried Pizza Garden down town and bingo this was the best Pizza we have ever had. The crust was perfect. Very gracious in the toppings. Service was great clean location. The wood oven concept looked very appealing. Fantastic day for our family and the kids loved it.Thank you Pizza Garden.

It's not as well known as its competitors Megabite Pizza and Romano's Pizza but I prefer it because they bake their pizzas in a wood stone fire oven and they make a thin crust Italian style pizza.
