Their Northern style pho is crazy tasty. Also definitely recommend adding either the marrow or poached egg.

$24 for a bowl of pho may sound outrageous but it is worth every penny and then some. The service is top notch and there is nothing bad to say.

Linh Cafe serves French-Vietnamese cuisine in the Kits area. The cafe has been around for a few years now but I never ventured out here until recently. In addition to lunch and dinner hours, the restaurant is open for brunch as well!. Nem – Cha Gio – Spring Roll. On my first visit, we came here for dinner and ordered a variety of dishes to share. The first were the Spring Rolls which were filled with shrimp, pork, wood-ear mushroom, and glass noodles. These had a good amount of filling and were crispy on the outside.

Linh Cafe is a bistro that specializes in French and Vietnamese cuisine. The owner, Tai Nguyen came from humble beginnings starting as a dishwasher, moving his way up in the culinary world under the wing of Chef Jean-Yves Bonoit of L’Emotion and Chef Steeve Rayé of Café Régalade- which developed his love for French cuisine. Linh Cafe is defined as a small, casual family restaurant – but the food here is nothing but simple.

This is a small but very popular cafe serving Vietamese-French fusion food. I stopped by here during the weekday for lunch. I had their Poutine Breakfast, as well as their Lemon Tart, Chocolate Tart and Croissant. The Poutine Breakfast (which came with a side salad and some bread and butter) was absolutely fantastic and also quite filling - I'm a big eater and I was actually quite full from the dish alone. Their desserts were also quite tasty. All in all, this is a great restaurant and definitely one that I'd recommend checking out. Do be prepared for waits though, depending on when you visit: the restaurant wasn't busy when I initially arrived at 1:00, but it did quickly fill up and there was actually a small line when I left the place about an hour later.

Poutine Breakfast ($14.95):
4.5/5
This consisted of fries covered in gravy, onions, scallions, swiss cheese and ham, and topped with a poached egg. The dish was just fantastic. The fries were crispy (until they got soaked in the gravy of course) and well-seasoned, the gravy was flavourful and had pepper in it, which added a nice bit of fragrance and heat. The egg was perfectly cooked, and had a nice runny yolk (which I personally didn't really care for, but sure makes a nice picture). Now I know that this poutine isn't "authentic" in the sense that they used swiss cheese instead of cheese curds, but I seriously couldn't care less: I love gooey melted cheese. The dish was served with a small side of salad as well as some bread and butter. The bread was just wonderful: crispy on the outside while soft and fluffy on the inside. You can eat it with the butter, but I actually used it to mop up all the leftover gravy from my poutine. The portion was also very good and quite filling; I'm a big eater and I was actually full upon finishing (which doesn't happen very often).

Lemon Tart ($5):
4/5
The curd was creamy and bursting with a great tangy flavour from the lemon. The crust was tender and cut quite easily. It was a little soft and soggy due to the curd, but that didn't really bother me too much.

Chocolate Tart ($5):
4/5
The filling was creamy, dense, rich, with a fantastic bittersweet chocolate flavour. The crust was again tender and cut easily. It was a bit on the blond side, but that didn't really bother me too much. I personally would rather have a slightly underdone crust than a burnt/bitter one.

Croissants ($2.25):
N/A
I didn't actually eat these, I gave them to my mom. She appeared to like them.

We made reservation so we got to sit down right away. It’s a busy place. Friendly service. Food portion is a bit small for the price. Pho definitely tastes different than usual. Richer soup base. The French fusion side was ok, nothing impressive. Worth a try but perhaps not purposely come back for another meal unless I am in the neighborhood.

Tolouse Breakfast is top notch. Sausage is delicious, buttery type sauce served with beans is perfect when letting your poached egg ooze all over it. Iced coffee good too. Woooooooo

I WOULD LOVE TO SAY THIS FRENCH COOKING VIETNAMESE RESTAURANT IS EXCELLENT!

5 stars!!! Or 10 stars!!

I tried so many Vietnamese restaurants but this one has been added theFrench cooking elements to the food. Even though it was a bowl of pho with beef, OH MY GOD! It was so good that I feel this Pho beats all the pho that I had tried in the past. The soup base was excellent with texture and added lots of green onions on top. My fiancé finished the soup even though he had eaten the rice noodles and beef. The flavour of the soup base was unbelievable great that other pho had just so so soup base. I was NOT exaggerating. If you can eat spicy food, you can also add a little bit more chilli and garlic to the soup base. Wow what a great combination!! Also the spicy omelette sandwich was the best Vietnamese sandwich that I have ever had. I thought the ones out there I tried before was good but this one was the best!!

I would definitely come back here and try other dishes. It doesn't matter it is brunch or lunch or dinner! What did I not come here to eat the food earlier?!!

We came here for breakfast on a Saturday morning and we're the first since opening. Before long, more folks came. We ordered from the breakfast menu - I had the Brittany Breakfast. The sauce was very flavorful, though a touch salty. The fish was cooked just right. Overall a good breakfast, though the dishes are not cheap

Not off to a good start when the waitress doesn't smile and kinda looks pissed off while she takes our order. The menu items appear to be priced higher than what one would expect for Vietnamese food, so we were somewhat skeptical. Added to that, when the food arrived, some of the portions appeared quite small. However.... the food was REALLY good!

Pork Rilettes Sandwich - Crispy baguette with creamy pulled pork filling. Not much to look at, but delicious.

Pho Bo (Hanoi Breakfast) - A little different than what you get from other places, there's no bean sprouts, mint, or basil here. But the broth is super beefy with slices of super tender beef. The bowl is big, but believe me, you'll finish every drop. We saw a lot of these at other tables...

Burger Challenge - When it arrived, we were alarmed at how small it was. Almost a slider. But to be fair, it was good, very good. I just wish it was normal sized for the price.

Note* Every table is furnished with a large jar of chili. DO NOT mistake this for the sweet chili dipping sauce you get at other vietnamese restaurants. If you slop a spoonful into your food out of habit, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. It is not the same. This stuff's fiery hot. Proceed with caution!

Will we be back? I think so. The food may be more expensive, but every dish was absolutely delicious. Certainly a case of quality over quantity... and we think it was worth it.

○decent service / slow at times when refilling water
○good food/ French / Vietnamese cuisine
○parking can be a hassle
○over priced but worth it/ go with a group sp you can try everything/ really enjoyed their pho, northern Vietnam taste and no sauce required, but their chili is crazy spicy so go easy on it to start but something in it makes it quite addicting/ I recommend order the mini pho version so you can try other dishes/ haven't tasted anything bad
○If I had to choose 1 dish: chicken liver
○would i go back? Yes
