Review Yagger's - Vancouver

Angela Jeffery
We came here because I had an Entertainment app coupon. It's a little, easy to miss place and well worth finding it. The bison burger was amazing. A little spicy and flavourful. Decent on tap beers and clean space with good social distancing protocols.

Nice ambience, several TVs, and a nice lounge area. Do not order the fish and chips, they are soggy. The hot sauces are quite hot so I suggest trying them before putting them on your food. They also have daily deals including $14.99 Pilsner pitchers.

Yagger's is a unique drinking experience in downtown Vancouver. It has all the convenience of a sports bar without the impersonal service and sterility that can often come with TV-centric joints. Thursdays are particularly enjoyable with their huge range of wings available at half price. Go for the Hot Korean if you know what's good for you.

I honestly wasn't sure what to expect from this place. Turns out it's incredible! The value is incredible. The food is amazing, and the service is top-notch. Check out the trivia on Thursdays, and the karaoke Saturdays!

Great spot. The bartender was very attentive and helped us with specials! We all got the burger and beer while we watched the football and canucks game. The Canucks scored 6 goals in the first 2 periods so sleeves of Molson Canadian become super cheap every time they score.. basically, cheap beer, great food, generous portions. No complaints here, this is a great spot to get together for beers and to watch the game! I will most definitely be back.

Lots of people, always crowded and everyone is friendly! The selection of beer is good but their beef dip is amazing! If I knew the food was this good I wouldn't have gone anywhere else.

Hockey, some nice craft beers, and the best coleslaw I've ever experienced. The fish and chips were perfectly battered and fried. It was great!

This was a decent place to hang out with friends and have a few drinks. I liked that the music wasn't too loud to have some good chats. Not a great tap selection but enough to find something you'll like. Would be nice if they have 20oz pints instead of 16oz. Fairly typical sports bar type decor and atmosphere. Great server who never took long to come around and was very friendly. Tasty chicken wings.

Good chilled out place . It's can come here for a sports night . The service is friendly and the food is fine . Not very expensive , it's more like a intermediate place while pub hopping .

came here only for the drinks usually as for the food, well ate here twice, once i ordered a spaghetti for quick dinner and i think the chef accidentally dropped a bottle of salt shaker, was really really reallly salty, but i mentioned it to them, and they are willing to change it, was okay about it, but makes me question about the consistency of the food in here. as for the chicken wings, it was definitely decent at the very least. was quite happy about the wings, the sauce made up for the lack of juiciness of the wings. but definitely just okay.

overall i wouldn't recommend this place of food, but for drinks and atmosphere yea sure why not, pretty cool place to have a jagger tap machine. would love to have that at my home as well. :P

When birthday season comes, there's always a scramble for a place with enough seating. (Yes, I live in a universe where the motto is "the more, the merrier"). For the past years, I've tried The Hub and Yaletown Brewing at Yaletown and Tap and Barrel at Olympic Village, which have been great places (if you're looking for a pub for a big gathering). The last birthday was held in Yaggers Downtown.

Food/Drinks: Some of the better pub food I've eaten. Would reco whatever you find interesting on their menu. We ordered quite a bit and they were all pretty good. We had the albacore tuna wonton tacos, which were crisp and refreshing. (an outlier for greasy pub food).

Ambience: Well, it doesn't stand out ambience wise. Tap and Barrel was more sophisticated. Yaggers is more of a sports bar, with big tv screens and a bar or drinks.

Service: Really good. Our server came into the room quite regularly to ask if we had additional drink or food orders. And super kudos to her, especially as it was all separate bills and everyone was moving around.

BONUS: They have a private room at the back of the pub for big groups. AND IT'S FREE. You just have to call in and fill in a reservation form.

Transport: Take the Canada Line, get down at waterfront station and you could either walk or take a bus. I would recommend walking though. It's about a 10 minute walk and the way there is peppered with other cafes/restos you can note for next time's food adventure.

This is a great place to relax and hang out - and their back room is mega spacious. I was there as part of a Meetup event that went on till late at night - and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Beer prices were not bad, either! Definitely recommended.

Some places have daily food specials, so if there's something you are interested in, or if you feel the regular prices there are daunting, you can try going on a particular day. Yagger's Downtown has a special every day, and on Wednesdays it is Pulled Pork Tacos at $2.29 each with purchase of a drink.

A bit loud, but the food is good. It's a nice place to hangout and get some drinks. They have a large backroom with a projector and speakers. It's perfect for meetings and parties. I volunteer with a local NGO and yaggers has been very accomodating. I would recommend getting the cow burger at this place. It's delicious.

Great bar!. I stopped here on Friday, November 16th on a weekend trip to Vancouver. We arrived around 11 pm and stayed until 1 am. It was fairly busy but the server brought our beers quickly. The service was also friendly and we were made to feel welcome. There were televisions everywhere for those into sports. The crowd was lively and we enjoyed our visit. We stayed at the Ramada next door and it was convenient to have such a great bar so close.

Great Venue For An Event!. This venue is nothing but exceptional! I reserved their back room for my birthday back in January and I was blown away by the help I received from their customer service reps and staff. Even though it was a busy night everyone working that night went out of their way to make sure everyone in my party was looked after. All of the food was amazing and food/drink prices are fair priced for downtown. I would definitely recommend Yaggers and go back again!

Great Food for a Pub. You will love this place. Go order, have a drink and relax. Tom and Trevor will take good care of you.

Good food and great friends. Some things go great together, and Yaggers is definately a place that brings both of those things together. From beginning to end the experience and taste always leaves me wanting to come back. The staff are friendly and the food is grown up yet the decor is fun and inviting with it's jäger orange painted walls and bottle chandeliers. 5 Stars all round!

I will fully confess that the name "Yagger's" doesn't bring memories that are all that pleasant. I think of "Jagermeister", one of those drinks that I have no clue why people continue having. And usually I associate Jagermeisters with being totally and completely hammered drunk. So, I was a little afraid of going to Yagger's for lunch. But I am a fan of giving all places a chance. I recently took my colleague Jordan to Yagger's for lunch (we are collaborating on a research paper) and I figured I'd try it out since my good friends Erica Hargreave and Minna Van have recommended it previously. I'll admit a bit of wariness as I was walking in. But the ambiance really relaxed me. Yagger's is a pub, no question about it. Located right besides the Ramada Inn on West Pender and almost Richards Street, it's less than 35 seconds away from my office at The Network Hub . We went there for lunch, and even though it filled really quickly (demonstrating that it's popular and has good food, no questio
