I don't know how they do it, but their vanilla lattes are incredibly yummy, as are their baked goods (which are generously sized, as well). (I suspect the latte quality is about good beans/roasting, combined with an unusually generous use of vanilla syrup.) The ambiance is relaxed and social, and the location is very bright. They have long tables, as well as small ones, so you can choose how social or private your time here will be. Street parking is easy and plentiful, on Alberni, though it runs $6/hr. (obably the reason it's so easy to find). This place offers great value for the price, if parking is excluded.

Very pleasant staff and a quick turn around time! I never find there is much of a line even early in the morning during the work rush. Lots of seating and an area upstairs if you want to do some work. Would highly recommend!

It’s a beautiful cafe with great coffee with the distinctive JJ Bean taste. I prefer their hot coffee as I find their cold coffee to contain too much ice. Unlike some cafes, their wifi works in the patio too. Most of the baristas are friendly and take the effort to ensure your drink is well presented

Do not get the matcha, I know that it’s a coffee place but the matcha latte even with a double shot does not taste of matcha, full clumps at the bottom of the cup:/

I had a latte and it was pretty good. I liked the upstairs. The tables can be cleaner.

We tried both latte and a cappuccino. Both were very good. They serve them in a nice white mug. They have cute sitting area outside and plenty of tables inside. They also have a second floor. It was service with a smile. We definitely planning to go back.

My favourite JJ Bean location. All the coffees are good and don't be afraid to ask the baristas here tough coffee questions because they usually don't disappoint. The triangular chairs are ridiculously comfortable and if you have a chocolate and zucchini muffin you won't regret it

Fantastic place for coffee and baked goods. Huge cookies and warm, freshly made muffins! I am so thrilled that they offer French pressed single origin coffee.
All in all a great way to start your morning or to relax in the afternoon.
