Tractor is dope! Massively underrated as a supplier of efficient, fresh and super yummy healthy grub in a plentiful and well presented portion.
When I say healthy, I don't mean leaves like those pathetic salads.. they have a great range of options for healthy fats, wholesome ingredients and wholegrain options. One of the reason for my visits was how they have been able to integrate vegan options into the market green selections. I had both vegan Kale Cesar and Quinoa Cauliflower Taboulleh options with the Chilli Lime Tofu. Absolutely delicious!! I wolfed it down in minutes.
The Tofu was marinated very well and the market options and power greens were super crisp, crunchy and fresh for sure. Plenty of flavor and exciting seasoning. Their market options are rad, very innovative and edgy I can't wait to try others. This was sweet! It is on the more expensive side as anyone who cooks, knows how much it'd take to whip this up. Tractor... you listened to my house hot sauce request and I dig you!
A rewards or loyalty scheme is really needed I feel as most competitors do offer one.

Looked for a place that would serve a hot bowl of soup and had indoor seating. Found this place and decided to give it a shot. Has a fresh, cafeteria style flair to it. But the prices were right and the food was just what I was looking for. Tried their Tomato Fennel Soup and it was just right for me. They offer a self serve station for water and you are also meant to put your used dishes away on the one side. Was nice to just do my own part. Sat facing the window and people watched while I warmed up. Counted all the different and colorful umbrellas on such a typical rainy Vancouver day. Was about ⅓ full and the salads and sandwiches they ordered also looked good.

Love Tractor for a healthy lunch! There's a line at lunch hour but it moves quickly enough. While their food is slightly pricey, it's on par with downtown eateries and is filling! On my most recent visit, had their Butternut Squash Soup and a Tofu Bowl (market sides Beet & Pear, and Curried Cauliflower). The soup had good flavour, and the market sides are never a miss. Would love if they added a GF/vegan market side of sweet potatoes, yams or root vegetables in the future!

I visited this location and ordered the Harvest warm Bowl as it seemed a good deal. Added chicken breast, for a whopping total of nearly $20. after paying , I realized I never got the sides that all bowls are advertised as coming with. I asked, and was told that THIS bowl doesn't come with the sides. Why not? no good answer was given.
Pretty poor experience. Food was good at least, so that's a Star, but customer service and that confusion ruined it.
I reached out to Tractor via their email to clear this up before publicizing, but received no response.
This was my first and last experience here, there are plenty of nearby restaurants that offer healthy and delicious food who deserve my business.

Went here during the lunch rush and there was a long line, however, it moved quickly. Food is healthy and fresh. Ordered the bowl and had the fresh greens as a base with two sides. Price is fair and food is healthy. Lots of seating but staff are slow to clear the tables. Bathroom is located outside the restaurant, need to grab the key from the cashier before going to the bathroom.

Staff lack communication in English. They didn’t even ask if I want to dine in or take away or I want to add any toppings or Sauce or anything else, I might need something to drink.
Nothing at all zilch.
Put a hot takeout box in my hand no spoon or fork, what is expectation here to eat with my hands.
Worst experience ever, never going back to be humiliated like this

A nice option for fast food at any time of day! They've got a decent amount of plant based options, even for breakfast. I had the vegan bbq breakfast wrap and it was better than expected in both price and quality. The eating area is also pretty up to date, with lots of seating space. I look forward to trying more of their vegan options in the future.

Nice venue but... 1. There's a big queue that you have to line up in and at the end you don't know if you'll get a table of not. 2. From ordering my tuna bowl to receiving it was also much time, in which unfortunately you have to stand next to the cash register area. 3. My bowl was okay, perhaps a touch bland, but prices as if it were in Earl's or Cactus Club, but you're in more of a cafe environment than a restaurant. My friend had the stew and couldn't get over just hope little he got for the money. 4. They ran out of clean knives after I waited long in line and then for the food, so then had to wait for the knives too. Summary: Please restrict the number of people and increase quality, while reducing wait times, and this could be a really great place.

Awesome salads, sandwiches and soups. Quinoa with berries and chicken on top is my favorite. Small portions though. Friendly staff. You can make your own combinations which is great.

In an attempt to live a healthier lifestyle, I met with R an H at Tractor on a gorgeous weekend for a lunch date. I hear that Tractor is pretty busy during work days, but when we were there it was pretty quiet. What we ate: 1/2 sandwich Chicken – Grilled chicken breast, arugula, pear, house pickled onions, pesto aioli, provolone cheese, sourdough bread ($5.25)

Sooooo good!!! If you're a "grazer" like me and you enjoy healthy foods grazing at that, then you'll love it. Fresh, delicious, creative cuisine!!

3/5 I just wanted to say I was very excited to try out Tractor. My friend actually treated me. Thanks, C! The bread is quite good and the meat was quite dark (depends on what you prefer right?) I thought pear was a fun addition and added lots of flavor. Overall, it was nicely heated up in the sandwich grill and the decor of the inside is very nice. I did think it was slightly overpriced tho. Nevertheless would love to try some of their salads and soups sometime.

Great place for both delicious and healthy foods. Love the Butternut Squash soup and their selection of salads. Their pork sandwich is delicious without being overly fatty. Their menu is simple, mix & match your favorite sandwich with salad(s), soup or both!

Fresh and tasty salads and sandwiches. The soups are great for a cold and rainy day. Great atmosphere to eat in and lots of seats. The prices are relatively expensive but the food is delicious and I believe to be of high quality.

I come here at least once a week. It's a great place for quick a lunch in the downtown area. It can get really busy around lunch hours but they are really efficient so the line moves quickly. Most people grab their food and leave so finding seats shouldn't be a problem. There's a large selection of salad, soup, and sandwiches and definitely tailored for the healthy crowd.

We were Looking for a nice, quiet, place downtown to have a late evening meeting, and boy is it tricky. If the eateries nearby Burrard Skytrain Station weren't noisy with the buzz of conversation, they were noisy with music. There's a 24/7 Tim Hortons where Bread Garden (and later BG Cafe) used to be and honestly that was a pretty decent choice except some of us wanted "real food". So we wandered into Tractor.

Wow - who knew healthy could taste so good?! LOL!! My mom was like "I could drink bowls of this stuff!!" It was super creamy, rich, and full of flavour!! The soup was really fragrant, and you could definitely taste the squash!! It was just the right balance of sweet - creamy- with a touch of herbs! The bread that came on the side was a bit dry and crumbly, but dipping it in

... tender and juicy pork; bread crisp but not too hard; adequate amt of fillings, but too little in ratio to the bread...

... veggies very fresh; good ratio of fronds and complements; didn't get the asiago cheese part and the lemon dressing wasn't quite 'creamy' as I'd imagine say, whip cream to be, but other than that quite good; pasta was cold and a touch al dente...

Foodology April 21, 2015 Cafe , Downtown , Kid Friendly , lunch , Sandwich , Three Beakers Tractor Foods has their original location in Kitsilano, but they recently opened up their second location in the Marine Building on Burrard Street. They mostly sell a variety of salads, soup, and sandwiches. They are quite popular with the weekday work crowd. I find that it’s a nice alternative in the area. It’s a good place to eat out if you have a few food restrictions. They cater to people with nut allergies, vegan, gluten free or dairy free. When you line up, it’s kinda like an assembly line where you pick and choose item that you want. The staff are nice and friendly too. Don’t order too much or else it will get a bit pricey.

Keep going back.. Really delicious healthy food. Prepared fresh. My favourite lunch place.

Nice Option. Nice to have an option for a fresh healthy lunch in the Marine Building. Had lunch of a half sandwich with a couple of side salads to try which were good. The only complaint I've heard from people in the building, is that the stews and soups are too small and overpriced. I really hope the restaurant does well and looking forward to see some daily specials.
