Accidentally came across this outlet while searching for food options near West Broadway, Kitsilano. Was indeed tempted inside by their thali menu advertised outside. Had a look at their menu and decided to go with their thali.
It has lamb curry(I gave up the option of butter chicken), basmati rice, veg malai kofta, butter naan(bread), salad and pineapple in aamras(mango sauce).
The meat was succulent and extremely well-cooked and delicious. The rice was flavorsome and a treat. The bytter naans were extremely well paired with the kofta and lamb curry gravies.
Ambience was simplistic, which you have to expect at this reasonable price range of 12.5$ for their non-veg thali. Service can be improved a bit with regards to response times. Overall, highly recommended for their truly delicious Indian cuisines. Might very well be one the best north-Indian cuisine options in Vancouver. Highly recommended.
Price: 4.5/5
Ambience: 5/5
Food: 5/5
Service: 4/5
The taste of the food was great. The atmosphere fear could be better but the food makes that up. I had naan and some spinach with cheese and it was awesome.
The food is incredible: the spices are out of this world, the portion sizes are huge and the taste is just spectacular. This is officially my favourite restaurant.
Seriously delicious. Takeout is the way to go with this place because that way you get free rice or naan! But for real. So. Delicious. Especially the lamb vindaloo.
The lunch meal combo during the happy hours (till 3.30 pm) is really good. The variety is great for that meal. The meal is filing. I loved the butter chicken and the tandoori chicken. The creamy mango-pineapple dessert they served was also satisfying. :D. By far, one the best Indian restaurants in Vancouver, though I am yet to try Salam and other fancy ones. Spice and flavours quality are comparable to the best ones, I had back in India.
This place is one of my favorites! Huge portions of very tasty curries; everything that i've tried on the menu so far is delicious. The service is a little slow and untrained but it has not affected my experience negatively so far. My favorite is the vegetarian appetizer platter and the chicken korma with some garlic naan.
Edit: Their service has gone from charmingly bad to annoyingly horrible during my last visit. I found a hair in my curry and pointed it out to the waitress. She went and whispered something to the managed and proceed to ignore me. When asked to pack our leftovers the waitress asked if she can pack all our rice together (wth we ordered separately...). Then when she did pack it separately she didn't remember whose was what and kept staring in awe when we expressed our annoyance. Overall it was very frustrating and embarrassing for a visitor of mine that I had brought that day. I would be cautious recommending this place in the future...
This place is delicious! Portion sizes are gigantic for the prices. We ordered two entrees, gobhi, a double order of garlic naan, and a side of rice. It's worth mentioning we were not aware that the entrees do not come with naan and rice and they have to be ordered separately. Two people can very comfortably share an entree, unless you want a giant amount of leftovers! Overall this place is awesome and the atmosphere is small and quaint. Definitely a recommended place.
Their tandoori roti and channa masala are spot on- lots of rich flavours and a good level of spice! The Channa masala was nice and gravy-like. I requested hot, and it delivered! The basmati rice had jeera (cumin) in it to add extra flavour. My partner ordered the garlic naan, which he really enjoyed. I stuck with roti since I'm vegan. A good selection of vegetarian dishes and many neat ones, here. I'd go back if I'm in the area!
After trying other restaurants in Vancouver and getting thoroughly disappointed by what they would try to pass off as "Indian cuisine", I finally chanced upon Tandoori Fusion. Despite the 'Fusion' in the name, it's really one of the very few restaurants in Vancouver that makes butter chicken the way it should be made!
So when two of our Iranian friends wanted to visit an Indian restaurant, certified by an Indian, we obviously brought them here.
For 1 pm on a Monday, they were pretty busy. And there was only one lady managing everything outside of the kitchen, but she was really attentive, and we never felt like we had been waiting too long, or that she was very hurried.
I recommend their lunch platters. For about $11 (it's $10 for a vegetarian one), you get such an enormous quantity of food, that you may have trouble finishing everything. Each platter comes with either a chicken dish or a lamb, a vegetarian dish, rice and naan, some salad, a sweet dish or a yogurt-based raita, and one piece of an appetizer.
Their lamb curry is good too, but honestly, their butter chicken is the best. They also do a mean tandoori chicken!
Pro tip #1: If you don't do great with spicy food, go for the 'low spice' version. I found their medium to be rather too hot for my taste.
Great little find. Great little spot. Large servings, which could mean that food is average, but in this case the food was delicious and rich.
Lamb tika masala, cod curry, mushroom matter, and the naan. Also the appetizer platter was a great start. Highly recommend.
Skeptical at first.... Because, whaaaat, 97% rating on urbanspoon?! Is that even possible?!
After ordering delivery & chowing down on my food, I definitely agree with the rating! Delicious & the prices are reasonable. I'm going to visit this place again & again!!! :)

Went in for the lunch special. Friendly service & awesome food!~
Best value for money Indian food in the city. Without a doubt the best Indian food in the city - especially from a value for money perspective. The portions are enormous, easily enough for 2 people to share one dish. Taste is exceptional and service is very good. I'm a big fan and will certainly add this to my list of regulars.
So excited to find this place! Best Indian in the city. Excellent fresh quality and generous servings. Friendly family run.
Delicious perfect food. Our first time based on Urban Spoon reviews and it surpassed our expectations. The sauces with our lamb curry and butter prawns were excellent. The lamb just melted in your mouth. The hot fresh butter naan so tasty. Generous portions that we took some home. Friendly attentative staff made for a great evening.
Shhhh... don't tell people about this place!. On the one hand, I want to keep this great place to myself, on the other hand, they really deserve your business! Friendly and polite is always a good sign but not a guarantee of good food. Fortunately, this place has both! You can actually taste butter in the butter chicken, and the naan was nicely crispy & chewy. Their lunch sets are very filling and feature a nice variety of items. We'll be back for sure!
*Update
Tandoori Fusion has a new dish: Tandoori Ceasar Salad. Don't order this. It's a tiny regular (not romaine) personal-sized salad with a few tiny bits of tandoori chicken for about $8. Not worth the money :-(
Great experience.. Pros:
(+) Friendly Staff
(+) FREE Delivery
(+) Delicious curry
(+) VEGETARIAN friendly options
(+) Lunch Buffet
Cons:
(-) Closes early at 10:00pm

I love this place. This was highly recommended by one of my friends.
If it's your first time at this place or first to even try Indian Food...the waiters are very friendly in offering suggestions. I've been here several times. I've dined in, ordered delivery and ordered for take out.
also few time I ordered for delivery arrived on time . I was impressed! =)
As for spiciness...keep in mind that there is different levels of spiciness. There is the Canadian style spicy and Indian style spicy. I'm speaking from experience here. One time, I came here with one of my friends that that was raving how she LOVES spicy food and can withstand any level for that matter. (You know where I'm going with this, don't you?)
So we ordered food to go. We both ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala which is delicious by the way. I had mine at mild/med spicy which was perfect for me. I want to enjoy my food while eating it. My friend on the other hand...wanted hers HOT! Her order went something like this...
My friend to the waiter: "Make my Chicken Tikka Masala HOT!"
Waiter: "Are you sure? Our style of hot is VERY HOT."
My friend: "Yes I can handle. I want it hot."
Waiter: "Maybe you should get medium instead, because hot might be too hot for you."
My friend: "NO! Trust me, I eat spicy food all the time. I can handle it."
Fast forward 30 minutes later...
Her face is red.
She's sweating.
She has to put her hair up in a pony tail from being so hot.
She's trying to act cool about the spiciness like it doesn't bother her at all.
She's chugging glasses of water.
Then starts chugging glasses of milk.
Me: "Wow you're sweating a lot!"
Her: "No, i'm good...i'm good."
(while bullets of sweat roll down her face and continues chugging down water).
It got to the point that she transitioned from drinking water to chugs of milk.
Point of the story is. Take their suggestions. The End.
Excellent food. My sis-in-law was over from Toronto and we had lunch there. She is an excellent cook herself and she thoroughly enjoyed the food.
Fantastic Indian in Kitsilano!!. I am Indian, and a picky Indian. I like very few indian restaurants in Vancouver. I have just added this one to my list and I am thrilled to have it here in my backyard. Their food is authentic, and it is the type of place I would feel comfortable taking my parents to. For you white folk who appreciate Indian food. This is the real deal. I am impressed and if you appreciate indian food you will be too.
Complimentary starter was perfect amount and flavour. Best butter chicken and garlic naan I've ever had!!! Meat was good quality and generous. Great portion size so enough for leftovers:) Overall great addition to kits!
The shining star in a world of average curries. Thank you thank you thank you! We love everything about your place. The naan the rice the fantastic curries the sizes the prices the flavours just keep getting better. Your understanding of the combination of heat and flavour is superb, unsurpassed. Please never change...ever!
Really great flavours!. A new Indian in Kits. I am excited and have to try it. Indian food in Vancouver tends to be pretty weak, so I am hoping... Thought I would pick up some take out and eat it at home on the deck. As it was for two, I ordered a starter of veg pakora followed by the classic chicken tikka masala. Actually the most popular dish of any kind in the UK. More than fish and chips. True! Also thought I would try Palaak Paneer. Each dish came with a choice of rice or naan, which is a nice deal.
Arrived to collect and the food was ready on time, as promised. Place was reasonably busy and smelled great, so that's a good sign. The servers were exceptionally friendly, full of smiles. Nice decor inside too. I'm figuring this must be okay if it's this popular. So off we went back home to try it.
The pakoras came with a little salad and two dips. They were very nice. Lots of flavour and a nice amount of spice. The dips were great. Good portion too. My favourite starter is a good onion bhaji, so I was surprised not to find it available here. Hopefully they might address that, but these were good anyway.
On to the mains. The flavours in both dishes were really good. Lots of evidence of spices and sliced onion in the tikka masala. The palaak paneer (spinach and Indian cheese) was very tasty. Perhaps the spinach was a little too pulpy, but it was rich and had lots of flavour. I would have liked to have had a bit more of a sense of the fresh spinach the dish promises.
The only issue I had with the tikka masala was the apparent oiliness of it. You could see a layer of oil floating on the top. This is not uncommon in Indian, but it really can be cooked with less oil, or ghee, and I would urge them to cut back. Taste was great, but that's my only concern.
Naan bread was excellent and large. Rice portion was also huge. Easily enough for two. In fact, my wife and I ate about half of the main courses, so this will be an excellent left over. Portions are not an issue here, folks.
I really enjoyed it and hope that they read this and will consider cutting back on the ghee and maybe even adding onion bhaji to the menu. I will be back!
Excellent rice!. I've had the mixed grill, aloo tikki, and (a few times) the saag paneer, Although the saag from Jolly's is still my benchmark, their offering is quite good and their accompanying rice mix is second to none. The other dishes were more than satisfactory as well. As mentioned elsewhere, their mint chutney is wonderful, their portions are generous, and their service is friendly. Myself, i found there was no heat to speak of until i finally asked for Hot.
I went to do dine in. The food was amazing and service was great and fast. As i walked in i was greeted by a server who had an amazing smlie. The place was quite busyy and had an awsome time and once again the food was delicious. I relly enjoyed a good evening there. I must say that u should try this place out and they aslo do free delivery i had food delivered a couple time i must they have fast delivery. Very good place 9/10
Yum!. I actually signed up for urbanspoon just so I could write a review for this place. We live around the corner and were bummed when Thai Terrace closed down, and so we were hopeful that something good would take its place. This place is seriously delish. The food is fresh, flavourful, and well-made Indian food (not greasy or heavy), and the portions are great value for the price. I love that you get a great portion of basmati rice or naan with each dish - so if you order two, you can get one of each. I highly recommend it - we don't eat takeout that often, but we've been here three times since it's opened just because it's so good, and I've enjoyed every dish we've tried. Two things:
1. We're vegetarian, and so I haven't had the meat dishes, but the sauces are delicious and flavourful.
2. They ask if you'd like mild, medium, or hot when you order - if you are at all sensitive to heat, I would definitely get the mild, as the medium is still quite spicy and might be what others expect to be hot. We love spicy food, though, and are always happy with medium.
Happy Eating! : )
