Review Paramount Middle Eastern Cuisine - Vancouver

Of places in downtown Vancouver, Paramount consistently deliver on the middle eastern food experience! Their focus on flavors, variety and quality comes through extremely well. Freshly prepared and serviced just in time. We keep returning without question!! Oh and their Baklavas are tremendous!!

We always wanted to come here since they open :) but always people are line up so we couldn’t try them and finally! We saw no line so made this happen! 😊 you know I normally ask to staff what is good food here as my first visit and so far they are always right! And again hit it🤪 I don’t like Lamb cause of smell but the manager strongly recommend so just trust him and now I can eat lamb😘😎 that yogurt drink was so good but not for my hubby cause that is too sour for him 😂 The Lamb….. was just melting in my mouth… Best Lamb ever I had! This place make me to drive to get here from Surrey 😎

Came to see some family all the way from Toronto and wanted to have a get together so picked this place and have had no complains. The food was explicit and had an authentic Lebanese taste which everyone liked. Would definitely visit again on my next trip. Kudos to Mohammed for making a space for a huge group and being generous.

Close to our apartment, we have walked past this restaurant many times and it always seems busy inside. Thought to give it a try. Ordered the chicken and beef shawarma, mixed grill platter and tabbouleh salad. The portions were decent size but the food was mediocre. The salad was drenched in dressing and very sour. The meat pieces were not very tender. Also service was slow and we had to keep asking for our water to be refilled.

We had a really great experience there. We had kofta wrap, chicken shawarma plate, za’atar, cheese, and kunafeh. To be honest I just wanted to try the kunafeh. But the food was great, the portion of the plates was decent. Za’atar and cheese were lovely. And kunafeh wow, I really enjoyed it. We were served by Rosa, who was super friendly. Definitely coming back😎 Update: This restaurant was one of my favourites. I used to come here every now and then, but the thing is, in my last visit, everything except for the taste of kofta wrap (which was still tasty) was changed. The za’atar and cheese was different, service was not as good, we waited for such a long time. I am gonna change it to four star this time.

Recently me and my husband had come in to dine from quebec a few days ago, and I had decided to get the hummus which was a delight including the fresh bread which was crispy. The chicken beef dish was also a nice dish and complimented the hummus. We had met a server named Rosa who had recommended us to try saj dish which was such a nice meal, she had made us feel at home and was very fast and efficient with our food. Amazing food and amazing service!❤️

Love this restaurant and love Mohammed, our server, he is awesome...when I'm downtown, it's one of my fav places to eat. Food is delish and quality is consistent. Recommend 100%...sorry didn't take pic of the hummus and bread...we devoured it so quickly.

It's okay. Shawarma meats were dry and chewy. Service was friendly. I felt it was kind of a cross between fast food and restaurant experience. Having a leisurely quiet conversation would be difficult.

I came again for the fourth time today and gotta say the place keeps getting better and better ! The food is top notch as always, so fresh and melts in your mouth; also, our server is sooo friendly and does an amazing job!! Now they serve cold water !!! So 5/5 and in my opinion : the best Middle Eastern restaurant in Vancouver !

Very disappointed with the quality of the Foods it's pricey for what you get. The waiter unrespectable they are slow and they messed up the order and switch the bill. I was so angry and upset from the waiter. she ignore me when I told her to bring the breads should be the bread coming first before the food and she bring it after finishing our meal. My drink Paramount special was warm without nuts and they took forever to bring my order. The manager apologized and tried to fix the problem. He did his best for me. We are disappointed because we expected better and at least same service and quality as we have experienced in their other locations in Toronto. The space is too small

OK...lets start off with saying that this was one of the worst restaurant experiences i've ever had in my life. Place is steaming HOT, warm water/coke, and dirty washrooms. To make matter worse, after a good 45 mins wait... I end up on a wobbly table???? This is supposed to be a high quality brand restaurant with no AC/no soup in the washrooms, wobbly tables and most meat was not even cooked properly! I was really looking forward to enjoy my experience there but honestly I will never recommend anyone to go there unless you want to enjoy a Middle Eastern like weather. With all fairness though, the waiter that was serving us was doing her job properly to keep us satisfied.

I really appreciate my meal yesterday. It was delicious. I missed a lime to squeeze on it only. The service was ok, nothing in special. I believe you can improve it.

Was my first time there and it was such a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and it reminds me of the food back home, although, it's not thr exact taste as my country's food. Just an advice, you better call and make a reservation in advance or you will expect to wait at least 40 minutes as I did.

I found hair inside the dough thanks paramount for making my day disgusting as your food. The manager on duty was disrespectful and unprofessional

The place was packed with locals which was a very positive sign.

Tried all the shawarmas, which were very average.
The Lamb shawarma was very hard and chewy.

Didnt care for the beef shawarma as well, could have had a lot more flavour.

The Kafta shawarma was the best of the lot.

Saj was decent, so could go with that.

WE aslo ordered the KAfta, which was 2 skewers with fries, and that was the best dish of all we ordered.
Surprisingly the butter chicken pizza was interesting.

Service was kind of slow, but they were also pretty full.

Have had much better lebanese.

Our go-to Lebanese restaurant downtown Vancouver. Been here several times and never been disappointed. The food here is simply delicious!

All the skewers were always grilled to perfection leaving the meat tender and juicy. They were well spiced and not to overwhelming.

Although the place seems large enough, but it does normally require waiting if you come during lunch or dinner.

The service is attentive!

All in all, this place is highly recommended!

Paramount Fine Foods is a Middle Eastern style restaurant located on Robson Street in Downtown Vancouver. We walked by many times and it’s always busy with lots of customers. We knew right away this place was going to be authentic because almost all of their customers were of Middle Eastern decent. We were looking so forward to try out thee food here.
