Review Coco Rico Cafe Bistro - Vancouver

Delicious food with a normal price for Vancouver. Their beess stroganoff was outstanding in both taste and portion. I re-ordered my meal because my companions loved it and we shared it together. Their salmon was delicious to but its portion was little small. About the burger and fries I would say it worths to spend money. Again, their beefs stroganoff is highly recommended. The waiter also was polite and fast. Will return again

One of the true gems of the West End. Food is very good, selection of booze is appreciable, and the service is always great. I know I always bang on about good service, but isn't that why we come out for the evening? I will always give my props to the good places, because they are worth it ❤️ Pav and Gina were great.

Fast service. Tasty breakfast.

The service was very slow, with our coffee and Caesar drinks coming out about 15 minutes after ordering them with a couple other tables in the restaurant. The food was good and the Caesar’s were very tasty, but not quite worth what they are charging. The server was friendly from the beginning to end but didn’t ever explain why the service was fairly slow.

Personally wouldn’t recommend it. Went here for breakfast, the service was ridiculously slow for what I would consider to be pretty sub-standard food. The waitress showed no interest in providing and good service. The coffees are very very small too. Only redeeming feature is the prices.

Had breakfast and lunch here today. The salmon bennies were solid. But the real star of the show was the chicken tikka masala. So much flavour. I also held a virtual meeting here and the internet was super solid. Didn’t miss a beat. Great food. Great atmosphere. I’d recommend it and come back.

My daughter got to Vancouver hours before my aunt and I did so when walking around for a place to eat dinner she saw this place. She loved the recommended food and drink and told us all about it. We did eat at the hotel restaurant for breakfast the next morning and it was ok. We ate the rest of the morning meals and a dinner at Coco Rico Cafe and were very happy and content. The food, service, and atmosphere were spot on. We all enjoyed ourselves and recommend it to anyone. It is a small place and one might just walk on by but keep an eye out for it and have fun.

Dated March 20 2020 6 pmToday I took a stroll after a full day of self isolation during a global pandemic and noticed that this ONE restaurant on Robson offered in-store dining and patio dining with the restaurant 1/2-3/4 full and patrons (shame on them) within 2 meters of each other and many of them seniors. This is ONE day after the city of Vancouver had issued a city wide state of emergency in order to FORCE restaurants to shut down for take out only service with the threat of prosecution as businesses were not abiding. There were one week of warnings to all restaurants and this restaurant was the ONLY one on the block which remained opened for patrons to dine in.I called the restaurant inquire why they were still offering in store dining and the lady who answered said they had until 12 am to comply and that they were within guidelines. Seeing how customers were talking to each other in close proximity on the patio suggests otherwise.I strongly suggested how serious the situation is and how all of our decisions have deadly effects on each other. I informed them their restaurant was behind a seniors home that is experiencing an outbreak two days ago with one patient who has since died. She didn't know or understand the gravity of the situation. She said that "I was wasting her time and promptly hung up on me"Sorry COCO RICO , times are tough but LIVES ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN LIVELIHOOD.This restaurant is playing Russian roulette with their patrons, their staff and the community with a flagrant disregard for lives and seniors. The owners are MORALLY CORRUPT.

This place has been here for ages. It's known for cheap drink specials, cheap wings, and a reasonable priced breakfast on Robson street. If your looking to stretch your dollar to yield satisfaction, then this is a good frugal place to casually drink and eat.

Service has been pretty consistent. They play alot of sports events here. Paid parking all around. If you are going to dine at night, there's free parking on Georgia street after 6pm. Fair warning though, it does get rowdy here at night on the weekends.

Comfortable Local. This place has great wings (and cheap) and great service. My friends and I go here quite often for beers and great pub grub.

Recommend as it feels neighbourly and comfortable.

Long as your in no rush. Food was good, place was ok. Service was slow but girls were short staffed. I would come again.

Had the Salmon Salad - it was possibly the best taste and texture combo I have EVER: fresh grilled salmon, gourmet greens, candied walnuts, blue cheese crumbles, and strawberries. Delicious! I had it with yam fries: gawd, it was good!

Hmmm, I like it?. I did go for the 39 cent prawn and wing special, I thought it was very decent actually, had a few beers with it, I liked it. Fairly cozy inside as well with a small bar with tvs that's easy enough to see from every where in the restaurant.

We went for breakfast and had one of the most amazing egg, bacon breakfasts after a long time. Just went in to try it out and we are glad we did.

My favorite food. If you are at Robson Street and want to eat a good salad, so you should go to Coco Rico Cafe. I asked for the Maple Strawberry Salad and it was the best choice. It is a plate of different lettuce and Salmon, but the sauce is something really special. It is half sweet half salt, I do not know how to explain, but it is yummy. The price is reasonable (CAN U$9, 50). If you like beer, you can ask for the Granville Island. Look for the special offers of the menu, so you can buy the pint and some bar snacks in a good price.
Since the first time that I was there, I return dayly to eat my salad. It is fresh and delicious.

Not Impressed. There were four of us for breakfast on the 1st of July. There were 3 other tables occupied with two patrons each when we were seated. It took 15 mins to get coffee at which time we ordered. The Australlian girl came back to our table 15 mins after that to refill our coffee and we asked how long our food would be seeing other tables being served that arrived after ourselves. The watiress said and I quote "Are you in a hurry?". She then came back about 5 mins later and said that "some" of her dockets didn't print becuase the printer was broken. Um, hello, we were the only table that hadn't recevied their food. I would have rather have been honest and say that she had forgotten to put our order in. I would never eat there again, and the watiress should be advised that customers are not stupid and know full well when they are being lied to....... The food was simply ok.

Chicken Wings. $0.25 chicken wings. 'Nuff said.

Small and cozy. I went for dinner here and was surprised at how tasty the pasta was. Tender chicken, nice balance of flavors, average sized portions (ie. no leftovers but you leave feeling full). I had no idea what to expect from the name of this place. The server was friendly but the restaurant was reallty small. My sister and I had to put our purses on the floor and once the food arrived there wasn't much room for anything else on the table.
