Review Trafiq Cafe And Bakery - Vancouver

Tatiana Machulis
we were hanging around Main on a sunny Saturday and decided to have lunch at Trafiq. What a great decision! The sandwich was delicious and the place has such a nice vibe :) It was super busy, but the customer service was above and beyond. Looking forward to go back and try some sweet treats.

Based on the raving reviews I am happy that I ordered some cake slices for a birthday. Everyone loved the chocolate decadent cake, salted caramel, and Earl Grey cake. I also had the chunky monkey which was a delicious banana bread pudding. Everything was tasty! The cake was moist (even a day later) and the icing wasn’t too sweet. The cake slices are reasonably priced considering you’re getting a big slice for quality cake. You can order cake slices online which we did. Too bad they didn’t show have the other mini cakes online as I would have ordered more treats. I don’t know why they stated two pickup times (one in the morning and other in pm) as I would have picked up at a different time. A ideal spot to pickup some desserts and sandwiches for lunch or for a special occasion. There’s dine in and takeout available. There’s a good assortment of pastries and drinks. There’s metered parking on Main but there’s free parking further in on the side streets. It’s a busy place! I haven’t had a really good cake in awhile. Can’t wait to try their other treats! Too bad they’re only open Wednesday to Sundays from 10 am - 4 pm. They’re just off Main and King Edward.

This is some of the best cake I’ve had in my life. It’s so soft and they use quality ingredients. I recommend going right when they open otherwise you may not get the cake you wanted.

These cakes are the perfect size for tasting. And there’s just the right number of cakes to fill the box with one of each. Beautifully presented with tremendously tasty flavours. Just the right proportion of cake to icing. Nice and light, not overly sweet.

I'm not much of a cafe person, I usually go for the sweets only. Did they ever surprise me with their delicious cakes! I went with a few individuals and we all shared different types of cakes. Mine, the lemon lavender cake was everyone's favorite, and I had to order one to go because I didn't get enough of my own!

Trafiq never disappoints with their cakes! We ordered the lemon blueberry cake for my mom's milestone birthday and everyone LOVED IT. Not too sweet, creamy frosting, and the subtle flavours really shone through. I've also had their salted caramel cake in the past which was equally as divine.

Solid cake slice. The earl grey flavour was definitely there and the cake itself was moist. There wasn’t much too surprising, but the portion justifies the price in my opinion and the quality is reasonable for the hype. Fast and friendly service

This is my 2nd day hanging out in the Main St as there are so many cafes and restaurants to explore. I came to this cafe today as I heard about their signature cakes. I came here with my friend and picked the Vanilla All Stars and Salted Caramel cake to share. The shop was almost full but it didn't take long for the cakes and coffee. The cakes are marvellous - perhaps the best cakes I have ever had since I come to Vancouver. The cakes ain't too sweet but the taste proved a good marriage of salted caramel and vanilla. The layers of flavour didn't cover each other but matched in harmony. Cappuccino and latte are great, especially after a few bites of cakes, the sweet flavours carried forward to the coffee and made it better. Last but not least, the staff is friendly and the environment is comfy with enough natural light. What you might expect is the chatting sounds around but it made a good vibe here. To conclude, no doubt - 5 stars for this cafe. Cakes are must-try.

Trafiq has a welcoming staff, and produces delicious food. The breakfast quesadilla was delicious, and their Lemon Lavender cake belongs in the record books. I find their lattes strong, but that's because I'm not used to good coffee :) It can get busy and you may not always be able to get a seat, but don't let that deter you from getting something to go. Doesn't have dedicated parking, but that's the norm on Main. It's a great complement to the area. I'll always come back!

This place encompass everything a good coffee shop should be. In house bakery, good pastries, sandwiches & of course COFFEE!

Good food and reasonable price. Tried Chunky Monkey which is really awesome and definitely a must try.

This is one of my favourite spots for tea and snacks in the city. The setting is bright and not overcrowded. Tea is served hot in a pot with a cup on the side. The sweets are scrumptious and the healthy fare, delish. The cafe is also licensed.

I discovered this Cafe' a couple of years ago. Each time I visit I enjoy the ambiance & the food is delicious. I don't live near it but if I'm in the district I make a point of Luncheon there.

Desserts are wicked sinful, the staff is wonderful!!

Amazing! Exceptional food and the service is brilliant. Although the cafe was very busy our meals came out very quickly. Couldn't recommended Trafiq highly enough.

Great team, even under big pressure they were very nice and providing great costumer service and the sandwiches are just incredible! Definitely worth visit.

Fantastic neighbourhood Cafe. Excellent food and friendly staff.

Very pleasant and clean atmosphere. Staff is always cheerful and friendly. The menu is fabulous....cookies to cakes to pastries and soups and sandwiches are delicious! Excellent beverages, hot and cold!

Such a wonderful place for coffee, lunch, snack or even a glass of wine with my friends. Loving the grilled cheese and bacon sandwich and coconut macaroons! Looking forward to the next visit.

I’ve ate Trafiq’s cakes several times although it took me awhile to step foot into their actual cafe. Trafiq Cafe & Bakery is incredibly popular; you’ll find them tucked among the throng of crowded shops on Main Street. Sawasdee Thai Restaurant is nearby. We’ve visited three times on afternoon weekends and it’s always busy. Seems to come in waves but there’s usually a line to the door. Despite the chaos, service is friendly and they clear dishes from your table. Water is self serve at the back.

I am slowly catching up on reviews from the holidays! I’ve been eyeing Trafiq for awhile because I’ve heard great things about their cakes. Since my birthday was coming up, I wanted to try a cake from Trafiq and fell in love with the Pretty in Pink cake from the website. I figured I might as well check out this place for lunch and have a slice of the cake before placing the order! Cola accompanied me for lunch, and I enjoyed it so much here that I came back a week later for lunch!

If you’re looking for cakes in Vancouver, the place that everyone talks about is Trafiq. Operating a cafe on bustling Main Street, they offer up a variety of sandwiches, cakes, and pastries. Having never been to this place before, we dropped by in early December to get some sweet treats as well as lunch to go. They generally have a number of small 6-inch cakes available each day as well as slices of their 10-inch cakes but if you want to be sure, you should order ahead of time.

We usually get the homage to earl grey but since it’s the Summer, we settle on the seasonal flavour, mango, for a little change. The cake was quite moist, but the filling was too tart and “wet”. The cake is a little naked because they charge $3-5 bux to write “Happy Birthday”!

Heading to Riley Park’s Trafiq provokes a conversation about how good coffee is king, but fresh baking might be a close second. Which leads to the question: what is the secret to discovering the best baking in this town?

Trafiq is a charming neighbourhood cafe located on Main Street. They served sandwiches, soup, baked goods and espresso.

The ambience of the cafe is very casual - order at the counter, and you shall find yourself a seat.

The portion size of the cake is enormous and perfect for sharing. The homage earl grey cake is one of the best we have ever tasted - moist with layers of flavour.

Prices are reasonable, especially given the quality of goods.

We will definitely come back!

Location : The place is well connected by transit. Take either 25 Brentwood, 3 downtown or 33 bus to reach here .

Ambience : Small but Pretty place with very welcoming servers.
Food: They have exceptional varieties of cake. I have tried earl grey , green tea matcha, chocolate decadence, lemon lavender cakes. So so good.
Earl grey, red raspberry , lemon lavender cakes are a must try ! Entire 6’’ Cake is 31$ with tax.

Note: It’s a favourite place of mine to buy birthday cakes.

Was in the area for a medical appointment and needed to pick up some sweets. Decided to look online for something close by and saw that Trafiq was only a few blocks away.

Walked in at about 930 am and it was already busy with customers having their morning coffee/breakfast. They had a good selection of pastries, sandwiches, loafs, cookies and cakes.

Decided to pick up some mini tarts/pastries. They were FABULOUS when we had them after dinner. Most were not too sweet and was light. Lemon tart, earl grey tart and salted caramel tart are my favourites. Hoping to try their cakes in the near future.

Service was friendly and welcoming!
Will definitely be back for some more sweets!

Trafiq Cafe & Bakery is located on Main Street and 26th Avenue. It is one of the popular restaurants at Riley Park neighbourhood.

You will be regretting if you have not tried their bakeries. Earl Grey Cake, mini tarts and croissants are very popular on their menu.

Services are excellent.

Food: 5/5
Services: 5/5

We went here to try their cake because I have a friend who is a huge fan of this bakery. She will always tell me how delicious their cake was. After a lunch date with my friend, I ask her to accompany me and eat dessert here. The cafe also serve sandwiches, soup, coffee and alcoholic drinks. The cafe is a good place to bring a friend and just hang around while eating dessert. I had a huge dilemma which cake should I order, because everything looks delicious. I ask the lady in the counter which chocolate cake she would recommend and she said to try their Chocolate Decadence. It is a devils food cake with layers of bitter sweet chocolate mousse covered in chocolate ganache. Tha chocolate cake was so rich and sinful but it makes a chocolate lover happy. The cake was moist and has a hint of bitter-sweet taste. It was very scrumptious and make sure to eat the chocolate ball last. trust me it was worth it. Trafiq is located at Main Street.

I'm so glad to have tried this bakery; it was just simply fantastic. They've got a really nice selection of cakes and pastries, as well as sandwiches and quiches. Since I've got a major sweet tooth, I went for all sweets and got a mini lemon bar, a mini london fog tart, and a slice of their chocolate decadence cake.

Lemon bar: 5/5; really nice lemon flavour without being artificial. Mini size was perfect for sampling.

London fog tart: 3.5/5; tasted nice, but not really noteworthy. Personally, I didn't really get too much of the tea flavour.

Chocolate decadence cake: 5/5; I absolutely loved this. The cake was super moist, chocolaty and fudgy, and the layers of chocolate mousse was delicious. Perfect bitter sweetness. It's topped with a golden ball that turned out to be some sort of chocolate cake/ganache that was a nice treat on itself. Although the slice was quite generous, I ended up polishing it off quite easily (and wished that there was more).

Overall, this is a fantastic bakery that I can't wait to get back to.

After my girl’s date with R got crashed, we decided to ditch the boys and head for a coffee break at Trafiq. I’ve never been here, but I’ve only heard good things, so I was more than down to check it out. It was a gorgeous sunny day so the bakery wasn’t too busy (because everyone was probably out enjoying the sun!)

Heard about this place in an article about Vancouver greatest Chocolate bakes for a long time ago, but until today went I there. The chocolate cake really lived up to my expectation. A generous slice of chocolate goodness with golden sprayed gooey cake pop on top can feed 2 people. It's certainly no ordinary cake, with 2 layers of moist chocolate cake and a layer of gooey brownie-like, evenly cut and stacked with chocolate icing in between. Forking down the slice, you can feel different texture of sticky ganache, rich brownie, soft icing and fluffy cake. The employees are so friendly, too. With my book, a cup of coffee and this chocolate magic, my afternoon is complete.

I wanted so much to like this place that I even got my birthday cake ordered from here. I chose the homage to earl gray and sadly it didn’t cut it for me. . Creamy Earl Grey white chocolate mousse, layers of vanilla cake finished with Earl Grey chocolate ganache. I didn’t like the outter layer of chocolate ganache, it has a strong minty flavor that overpowered the Earl Grey. I did enjoy the moist layer of cake and mousse.

Nice cafe/ bakery/ lunch spot. They serve pretty good cakes (the tiramisu slice I had was creamy, good texture, not sweet though a little light on espeesso flavor). The coffee is also decent. I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to come here but also wouldn't hesitate to drop by if I'm in the area!
Kalyrical
Their cakes tower over everything! I got a slice of tiramisu and a small chai tea for about $10. You get a pretty decent sized slice. Trafiq does have outlets for your laptops but they do not have wifi. If you're planning to work here, keep this in mind!

I've recently been here 2 times. Earl Grey Cake is the best cake I've had in Vancouver. Their cakes are huge and tastes are fabulous. Highly recommend. Tiramisu is alright.

I had seen so many Vancouver foodies & Instagram accounts post about the spectacular handmade cakes at Trafiq that I couldn’t take it anymore. I made a visit to this French inspired cafe with cake in mind. There are many other delicious looking things at Trafiq too like their sandwiches and quiches. I will have to come back to have those too.
YS
Amazing food and great staff. The cakes are some of the best in Vancouver and the sandwiches are made with incredible bread. Great for sharing!

The only problem with Trafiq is that they close too early! Like many others have mentioned, order the earl grey cake, so delicious! But equally as good is the passionfruit chocolate. The slices are nice and big so you will definitely get your cake fix! Drinks are big as well, the hot chocolate pairs well with the cake. We have been back a couple of times, but next time we may try their sandwiches as well as dessert. We definitely recommend!

Wonderful bakery and cafe with nice desserts. I don't even like cake, but I actually get cravings for their Chocolate Decadence! Their cakes are also beautiful to look at, so I would definitely recommend getting one for a special occasion. Also, I like the variety of sweet treats they have, as I like to pick up a few different types to bring to office parties or as a hostess gift, and they always go over very, very well. The London Fog tartlet is always incredibly popular, and I personally like the chocolate mousse trio. It's definitely a place to get pastries that everyone will like!
FoodLuv
At last I made it to Trafiq !!! Tried the London fog cake ~ it's fresh and light. The portion is big so definitely nice to share. I took a take out for his purchase but would go again to try their brunch. The coffee is a nice compliment to the cake. There's plenty of sitting space and the environment is clean and cozy. They have good variety of cake options daily, so next time you are in the neighbourhood, try to visit this little gem.

This chilled out place is one of our favourite hangouts with our 1 year old baby. We've been here many times. They are super baby friendly and usually the clientele are too, and it's great for the little ones to go and greet each other. They're as unpretentious as you can get, with a relaxed atmosphere. We love the build-your-own-sandwiches and soups, and I'm also a fan of their quesadillas.
Alicious
Had the California chicken sandwich and it was so good! The cranberry bread was amazing and complimented the sandwich well. All of the ingredients tasted so fresh. The service was fantastic, the girls that worked there were very happy and smiling at all times and seemed To really enjoy working there. I got 2 slices of cake to go, the vanilla salted caramel and the chocolate decadence. Both were so delicious!! Just the right amount of sweetness and perfect moistness.
And the slices were huge!!! I will definitely be ordering a cake from here when I need it for a special occasion!

Yesterday, I was struck with cravings for sweets so I decided to pay a visit to Trafiq Cafe and Bakery. Located at 4216 Main Street in Riley Park, Trafiq is a European-style cafe serving pastries, sandwiches, soups, croissants alongside coffee and tea. But seriously, I was after one thing and one thing only – their cakes. Their luscious cake slices have been Instagram darlings and it was time for me to finally try them out.

I've been to Trafiq on two separate occasions. I am absolutely in love with their cakes. I've had the Earl Grey and Salted Caramel cakes. They are both amazing! Not overly sweet and the perfect moistness. Also had a London Fog latte, which was yummy!

First time to check out Trafiq Café & Bakery. Tried the lemon lavender cake. They serve cakes, mini desserts (bars, tarts), sandwiches, croissants, soups, quiches, salads, specialty coffees/teas and cold drinks too. They are open from 9am-6pm. This cake was moist, you can taste the lemon and hint of lavender, huge piece that can be shared really. Not too sweet too. I recommend this place for sure 🍰👍🏽

Trafiq has been on my list to try for a while now. I ordered the lemon lavender cake, salted caramel cake, coconut cream cake and chunky monkey. All the cakes and chunky monkey bread was delicious! So happy I finally crossed this place off my list.

I really like how this place also serves savory items (sandwiches, quesadillas, etc) other than just sweets. Come here for lunch and before you go, make sure you order yourself a piece of their fabulous cakes. Earl Grey and Vanilla Salted Caramel were both awesome. Very moist cakes with the right amount of sweetness. I had to share my cakes tho cuz their slices are pretty huge!
DineVancity
I'm terrified of sour things, so when my sister ordered the lemon lavender cake, I was a little hesitant to try it. But the cake was wonderfully balanced between sweet and sour. Their cakes are very moist and are all presented perfectly. I also got to try their London fog mini and the cream was just wonderful. Can't wait to come back!
Green Tea
Their cake's description on the sign besides the cake is different than the description from the menu. I'm writing according to the menu description.

I can't taste the Earl Grey in the chocolate ganache in the Earl Grey cake due to the bitteress of chocolate. The taste of Earl Grey in the Earl Grey - white chocolate mousse is not strong due to the mix with white chocolate. The mousse is smooth, creamy, and light sweet. The vanilla cake is course-condensed; sweet but not too sweet.

Chocolate Decadence - The small chocolate dome on top of the cake slice is a chocolate paste ball - slightly sugar sweet with bitterness. The bitter-sweet chocolate mousse is creamy, little sweet with bitterness. The devil's food cake - same texture as vanilla cake with bitterness. The dark chocolate ganache is the most bitter component of the cake.

Mini pumpkin tart - sweet caramelized nut bits on top of the spiced light sweet cream. The taste of the spices can be stronger. The pumpkin puree inside - not sweet and taste natural. The pastry tart skin is not too sweet with butter taste.

I didn't try the lemon lavender cake because the sign says the cake slice is made with lemon curd, lemon mousse, with a hint of lavender. This is not the same as their menu desciption: vanilla lavender mousse, lemon custard, lavender whipped cream, vanilla genoise. I don't know which description is true. If there is just a hint of lavender in the cake then I don't know if I am able to taste the lavender. I don't want to buy just the lemon cake slice for $6.

The portion between the mousse and the cake is good. They charge their cakes with a high price within the neighborhood because of the amount of ingredients that they put into the cake, and also their cakes look fancy. The blonde short hair woman packed my cake slices into separate boxes and then put the boxes into a paper bag. Her service is better than the black (grey) short hair woman with glasses, who seemed not wanting to talk. Both food and service of this place are not exceptional; the place is only seemed to be exceptional within that area. I will only come here again if their service is better, or if I can't find the flavour of the cakes elsewhere.
Stella
The earl grey and lemon lavender cakes are heavenly good. The cakes were super moist and light, very flavourful and not overly sweet. Because its sooo good, I know I can't have this everyday with all the cream and icing >_< Each slice is also quite big. Also tried a lime tartlet which did not disappoint as well. Service was very friendly. Would recommend for sure.
Michael
Great little cafe with delicious sandwiches and treats. The quesadilla is also good and reasonable priced. Served with guacamole and sprouts, it is definitely a new twist on an old classic. This is a perfect spot to have a quick lunch or snack in when shopping in the area.

June 3, 2015 · by ThatShanghaiGirl · Hi everyone so I’m back with another homemade post! This time I made a 2 course dinner plus birthday cake from Trafiq for my Mother’s birthday dinner. All recipes are linked, Happy eating!

This was the Homage to Earl Gre y with vanilla cake, bergamot mousse and chocolate ganache. I love anything with Earl Grey so this was a must order item. The vanilla cake was moist and light with a fragrant flavour from the bergamot mousse. The chocolate ganache layer on top of the cake was very silky and smooth.

We are always in the Main Street neighbourhood and passed by Trafiq Cafe and Bakery many times without ever going in once. I guess we always go for dinner when this bakery would be closed that around that time. One of C’s best friend is eating clean and training for triathlon but consistently raves about their cakes. We decided to check it out, or rather C took me there, after a small wedding hiccup. (C: It wasn’t my fault :P). Smart man he is I say…never fight with a lady who’s hungry and always take her to a place with dessert. From the outside, it looks like a small place hence C and I never gave it much thought but boy are we wrong! It is very opened, spacious and welcoming all at once! Love the interior design as well! It is not so modern that it’s sterile but it has a hint of warmth to it with all the wood tone! (C: Definitely fits into the Main Street hipster scene. It does look more modern inside than it does outside). Inside Trafiq Cafe and Bakery The food in the cafe is more breakfast/sandwich type of food. For better view of the menu, it is on their website here . (C: seriously, Trafiq is one of those places that lives up to the Cafe and Bakery portions of their name. Sandwiches, quiches, quesadillas, soups, toast, fresh baked good – lots of those). Menus For a Cafe/Bakery, it sure does offer a good selection of sweets!

Lemon Lavender Cake!!. The lemon lavender cake is one of my favorite cakes at Trafiq! The cakes at this bakery are very moist and light! I love this place!

Definitely up there for taste, freshness and quality of their baked goods! To date, my favourite has been the Lemon Lavender cake. Definitely something everyone should try! It's one of the most moist cakes I've ever eaten.
YumVegGrub
Bright spot with homemade goodies. There's nothing like a nice chunk of coffee cake to go with strong coffee and Trafiq's coffee cake has to be the best around ..delicious!! Service is always quite nice as well.
Michelle C.
Picked up some breakfast here. The quiche was good but the quesadilla was absolutely terrible. It was paper thin, had barely any filling, and tasted like cardboard.

Chunky Monkey Goodness. I created my own sandwich of chicken (they ran out of turkey), sprouts, hummus, red pepper, dijon muster and brie on a GF baguette. The quantity was relatively small for the price. I would not order a sandwich again. I did, however, buy a chunky monkey to go and that was delicious as hell - especially being a little cold (and still moist) from being placed in the fridge overnight.

The cake selection was amazing and I wish their hours were longer into the evening as it would hold as a great meeting/study spot for people who work at night.

Lovely!. Friendly service, great location, clean and bright atmosphere wrapped in a modern, west-coast feel. Plenty of seating is available. The servers were all very polite and friendly, and took the time to recommend items on their menu. We enjoyed their sandwiches and the drip coffees were fresh and flavourful. We loved the decadent chocolate cake twice and the monkey bites were to die for! Everything is made fresh at the cafe in the back, and nothing tasted stale or pre-made. Definitely come here if you happen by!
Mary Sheridan
The chunky monkey!. When visiting this friendly Main St eatery, make sure to order a chunky monkey - banana bread with chocolate ganache and croissant pastry. It's ridiculously good. The servers are very friendly and the atmosphere is airy and clean. Outdoor seating available.

The first time I went, about a year ago, I was so impressed with the service and the food that I demanded that my husband get a cake there when my birthday rolled around. They squeeze the oranges when you order juice there, for crying out loud. What bakery does that? And the cake - Homage to Earl Grey - was good too. Moist and rich. It didn't last long.

I was recently there again for a sandwich and a slice of lemon lavender. The sandwich was fresh and they went to the trouble of taking out the lettuce and tomato before grilling it so that the vegetables wouldn't be soggy, a detail I appreciated. The problem was the cake. It was disappointing - stale, and the frosting tasted like old lipstick. I didn't get lemon or lavender. I was pretty put off and threw most of it out. I don't know that I'd bother going out of my way again.
Monica Jackson
Amazing!. Wonderful homemade breads, delicious sandwiches, the best orange juice, amazing desserts! ... Bright and pleasant place and friendly people!
Bernice
Tarts. Good service, good pastries. Bit overpriced but worth it. Love the passion fruit tart and lemon tartlets, they're perfect. Although, I don't know what to say about their brownies.. They kinda tasted and had the texture of fudge more than brownies.. Other than that, not shabby at all.
Rebecca
Their croissants were days old - very hard and bland. Disappointing. Also no baby change station. Annoying. Sandwiches were tasty though.

Effin awsome pastries!. The problem is I often can't stand the line! Coffee and sweets are a dime a dozen!

Peace!
Lobak69
Very clean and casual environment. They have a wide variety of pastries and I enjoy their croissants.
Darryl
Great coffee, food, and even better service. A high quality establishment setting a precedent for coffee shops on Main street.
Sepatu_balet
Glorious Chunky Monkey. Haven't tried their coffee, but the hazelnut soy hot chocolate I had was meh. Nothing to write home about. But I have a weakness for their pastries. Tried the coffee cake and the chunky monkey and was promptly blown away. My sweet tooth cravings were fulfilled. I had one of their home made cranberry walnut bread and it's SO good with a slice of brie on top for a quick breakfast run.
Sandy Sethi
Wow. This place was really good. The fresh baked croissant was amazing as was the espresso. I'd encourage anyone to stop by and try !
Bukko Boomeranger
Coffee competitor on Main. I wish I didn't have such a good espresso maker at home. Trafiq looks like a fine place to have a latte. Attractive coffee drinks, largeish cups but not the soup-bowl-sized cafe au lait type that seem to be a standard on the rainy Pacific Coast. Good range of baked stuff to go with the drinks. Their "monkey bread" looked like banana bread with chocolate swirled through it, but it must have been made with brioche -- it tasted that dense and rich! I didn't try any of their sandwiches, but the takeaway pastries we got for the next day's coffee at home were scrumptious. Wide range of innovative breads and buns for sale to take home, too.
Akt
Not sure. They're not quite up and running yet, as the bakery section won't be in business until the fall. The coffee is very good. The scones are very light, if a bit sweet. My pain au chocolat however was clearly quite overworked, the pastry was very chewy, definetly not flaky and tender at all.
Bethany Ho, Bites Of Vancouver
After hearing great reviews of their cake from some of my foodie friends, I decided to give it a try. Now I’m kicking myself for the years of amazing cake I missed out on! A couple things you should know: Two of my most favourite flavours in the world are early grey and lavender. I’m super picky about cake. Dry cake or cupcakes are a pet peeve of mine. I think cakes should be moist and easy to swallow! So when I tried Trafiq’s super moist, super flavourful and what I think is the perfect cake:icing ratio, I was so excited I went back to Trafiq three weeks in a row!

Yesterday I made the rare trip out to Main St to visit Hawker's Delight because I had this sudden craving for Malaysian food LOL (blog post about that coming soon!) After lunch I was still hungry so I skipped over to Trafiq across the street for some dessert!! I've been seeing pictures of Trafiq's glorious slices of cake all over my instagram feed LOL so I knew I had to drop in and sample some of their deliciousness for myself! :D Ahh these all look soo GOOD! I thought it was kind of unsanitary that they had the pastries lying there near the cash register though LOL. These pastries thankfully had a sneeze guard! :D OMG Earl Grey and Lemon Lavender?! Why can't I have a bottomless stomach?!! Trafiq's signature Chunky Monkey $3.50 3/5 stars Wow this was banana all right. They must have put a whole lotta banana in here haha, because the cake wasn't even cake like in texture, it was the texture of bananas!! So it was like eating a sweet chocolately banana LOL! One thing I found weird wa

Trafiq; you inspire me, you relax me, you make me love food more and more. My favourite Trafiq moments remain with your eclairs and hot chocolate; specially that I can match them - chocolate eclair with hot dark chocolate or vanilla eclair with the amazing hot German white chocolate.

What a little gem of a coffee house! Located on Main St, Trafiq Cafe and Bakery is one of those joints that you see yourself patronizing over and over again. Everything from the smell of fresh baked goods to the friendly smiles of the staff draws you in. The atmosphere is welcoming and non-pretentious.
