We went for my birthday dinner this summer and it exceeded our expectations! Our waiter was charming and knowledgeable. He made our experience absolutely perfect. The food was phenomenal! Each dish was unique but a few stood out. The bone marrow was fun and the garlic scapes were AMAZING! This meal was the highlight of our trip.

So fun! Great food and atmosphere. Highly recommend the mussels and tortellini. Also loved the venison loin and veal bone marrow (with on the house sherry pour!) - all super creative and yummy! Terrific cocktail menu, as well.

Amazing food. You can really feel the emphasis on nature in their cooking. It was the Pacific Northwest on the table, all served in a cozy setting. Everything was fresh and cooked perfectly. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Adventurous eating at it’s finest, the horse tartare was exquisite. Two thumbs up 👍🏼👍🏼

If anyone looking through these reviews wants the best brunch in Vancouver, search no further: Wildebeest is the place you need to be. I've waited in the hour long line at Jam Cafe, tried Catch 122, Enzo's, Forage and a gauntlet of others and read brunch reviews enough to make my eyes bleed in search of the perfect place. Quite frankly I'm a little upset with myself for not coming here sooner, and if you haven't been, make sure you fix that asap.
The bar is amazingly well stocked and well staffed. Wildebeest's bloody caesar came with a sweet pickled green bean and a smoked castelvestrano olive (dear sweet god these olivez are good - and thankfully available as an appetizer on the dinner menu) in a glass liberally sprinkled with seasoned salt - blissful, and not surprisingly now the benchmark to which all bloody caesars will be held in the future. I ordered the bacon Benedict, which I highly recommend. The bearnaise was perfect, the eggs glorious with a deep orange runny yolk, and (the best part) ...face bacon all on a grilled buttermilk biscuit. A beautifully done hasselback potato and a side of seared kale rounded out the dish. Bottom line, you need to eat brunch at the Wildebeest.

Went on for the 10 course tasting menu and was amazing with the selection and well rounded flavors from start to finish.
I love trying new things so a tasting menu is perfect but I would single out the lamb, charcuterie and apricot desserts as truly amazing.
I would also like to mention that our severs Liam and Gabby could not possibly have done a better job. They explained everything and answered all our questions about the dishs, checked back often, were very friendly and truly added to our dinning experience.
Becuae of the amazing food and the great service from Liam and Gabby I would highly recommend Wildebeest to everyone.

Love love loved this place! Fabulous dinner for a Friday date night. Lovely atmosphere, amazing service, and delicious food. I don’t eat meat yet still had a great meal, the carrots, artichokes, caviar, and fish dish. The fish was cooked perfectly with beautiful unique flavors. My boyfriend loved the meat dishes. We’ll definitely be back.

I world like to recommend this place for a delicious brunch spot to take a date on or go with friend. Also their dinner are really good! Love the open kitchen concept! I had trouble trying to pick what you eat on the menu because everything looked so delicious!

Came here for Valentine’s Day special. Taste of appetizers was good. Taste of mains were soso at best. The bison steak was very tough and difficult to eat. The truffle ravioli was excellent. Service level was below average compared to most other western restaurants. For $75 per person base price before drinks and add-ons, I was expecting better food and service.

Really cool place that I didn't know existed until 2 days ago! The cocktails were amazing, and the food was top notch. They just switched menus, their spring menu was very fresh and had some styles of food that were interesting and new to us. We had the squash and cabbage to start, and I never thought I would say that half a head of grilled cabbage woukd be tasty, but it was really good! The mains were also amazing, the cod was cooked perfectly and the Emmer wheat dish was full of rich flavour. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly! Depending on what you order, it's not expensive, but it's not cheap. I'd like to try t a couple more things on the spring menu, but I'll also be watching for future menu changes and new things to try!

To the 1 star and 2 star reviews.....you clearly don't understand good food...I recommend you check out Wendy's or KFC- more your speed. I hate pretentious food. I'm a born and raised Vancouverite, lived and dined for 3 years in Montreal and have travelled the world. What I love about this place is its elevated, delicious, impeccable food without pretension and the menu changes based on what's fresh and available. In a sea of cactus clubs, earls, tap and barrels and the like...Royal Dinette is refreshing...and impeccably delicious.

Ordered the family style chef's choice meal. The portioning was perfect for my husband and me. The 7-course meal was excellent value and each course (with the exception of the pasta) exceeded expectations. The smoked beef was to die for.

Every time I travel from Europe to Vancouver- this place is a Must Stop. I have never been disappointed. The flavors are just amazing- surprising and delicious in any dish I have had so far. My absolute favorite place in Vancouver.

Fabulous dinner dishes with refreshingly inventive and deliciously unexpected flavours. The Asian Spring Greens are so worth ordering, with perfectly crisps book choy in citrusy oils. The Tagliatelle had incredibly tender pork shoulder and their gluten free pasta was well-cooked incredible-- and don't get me started on the incredibleness of the deserts!!! Worth coming here for dinner!!!

Great service and freindly chefs as I sat at the bar adjacent to cooking area. In addition food was superb and menu selection different from such boring restaurants such as Cactus Club next door.

We did the family style dinner and we were all so stuffed at the end we couldn't move. Every course was better than the one before and the dessert was amazing. Only draw back was that it was a bit loud but when we asked to have the music turned down a bit they were happy to accommodate

Great service. Professional staff. Food was very flavorful and represented the season and region well. Clever techniques, playful combinations and flawless execution are what made this meal memorable. Very modern and cutting edge without the usual woes that go along with that fare. I think this food was comforting and accessible while also intricate and thoroughly composed.

Wanted to check out this place for a while with the amazing award winning bartender as she has made me some great drinks before. Unfortunately I left and told my group to meet elsewhere because your incredibly rude hostess who seems Intoxicated was completely out of line. I won’t write a whole review that I want too but would like management to contact me as I was not impressed. I’ve been in hospitality for 16 years 11 years as a GM and would never return to this establishment after her behaviour, nor would send you any business after my first visit. Never made it for a drink as I left! Your only getting 3 because I’m sure the venue and other staff are amazing. But I tell you one thing she should not be your first impression to your venue.

Greeted with bubbly to start our celebration was a welcome surprise. Each coarse was delicious and complex. Our server was excellent - very knowledgable and we were touched that she shared her story of her mother with us. Our favorite was the smoked olives! We were honoured that as we were standing outside getting our bearings after supper that we were caught by the manager to ask how supper was for us and thank us for coming. Thanks for the extra special touches!

Finally, made a chance dining at this restaurant, one of the best new restaurants 2016.
With its meticulous, freshness, flair, Royal dinette definitely deserves every bit of the praises.

The farm-to-table food is fabulous. Set in a welcoming, retro atmosphere, Royal Dinette is a must when visiting Vancouver. Indulge at ifthedevilhadmenopause.

Food is always excellent. A great place to recharge during a busy work day. The current plum dessert is phenomenal btw...

Attentive friendly waiter. Food comes in small portions, but very tasty. Ordered Burrata as appetizer, and Potato Agnolotti and Spiced Chickpea Tortellini for the main meal - thank-you for a great evening!

A favourite spot of mine as it's near to my office. Food was excellent as always, with pleasant, attentive staff. Only downside was that certain items were off the menu - surprisingly including bread. Disappointing, but Wong discourage me from returning.

Their salad blew my mind. Herbaceous, fresh and very satisfying. Pork was succulent. I don't usually write reviews and or gush over a salad. So Check it! #mindblown
