Review Poke Time Robson - Vancouver

I love coming here for poke, this is a hidden gem! The food quality and portions are consistent and the staff is always friendly. I come here often with my coworkers, I'm surprised it's not more busy. My go to dish is their zen bowl, would definitely recommend this place!

I like this place. Although it's a small place, it's clean and well arranged tables and chairs. They have great selections of poke may it be you make your own or their signatures poke bowl. Taste really good too. Staffs are nice and would also suggest what's best if you ask. Prices are also reasonable. Worth a try.

First poke was here and it definitely did not disappoint! Tons of toppings and such to choose from and they also have preset ones. I made my own and it tasted amazing! Originally I thought $13 for the three scoop of protein bowl was quite a bit but it really was worth it. It was super filling but I wasn't quite sure the different between 2 or 3 scoops other than the price. Great location with a good amount of seating, they also had avocado seeds for you to take which I really wanted.

Fresh seafood options, friendly service. Great location! Ordered off of Click Dishes too and got everything quickly when I arrived.

Ordered Hawaiian preset Poke and really enjoyed it. It was very tasty and good portions for the price. The place is bright, spacious and very welcoming. I will come back and try others on their menu.

This was delicious and actually a bit cheaper than other locations. The server took care in making the bowls ensuring that the dish was on lettuce so it didn't get warmed by the rice. The little details matter and this restaurant nailed it.

I found of the many poke places that I've visited in the city that this one probably had the smallest portions, first they only have a medium and large size which in my opinion be a small and medium respectively. The taste was pretty bland and even though the fish is marinated it didn't really have a good taste of anything, and beyond that the server was so stingy in even giving me the base salad which was absolutely tiny and kept saying that it would be bigger with the toppings which isn't true. Honestly it probably isn't worth the price or worth going here unless you're desperate

I tried this Poké Bowl here. It’s bloody good. Spicy garlic shrimps and marinated Salmon were quite nice. Presentation can be improved a little. Ingredients seemed quite fresh and the girl served us was very helpful explaining each ingredient and sauces. Spicy mayonnaise and fried shallots on the top 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 If you’re in the area must try this place.

Don't have high expectations for a fast food joint but this was good. healthy and hit the spot. great price for what you get. I got the bc bowl. Was delicious

My boyfriend and I had POKE TIME last month. We had a great experience there. Poke Time is a Hawaiian style street food. It's a small restaurant, which has three locations in the Great Vancouver Area. The one we have been, is on Robson St. It was our first time having Poke Time.
People can either choose their on Ingredients or pick the combinations from the menu. Since it was our first time, we decided to choose from the menu.

I had BC Bowl, which was included Marinated salmon, cucumber, crab salad, seaweed salad, and corn. My boyfriend ordered the Super Cruncheritto Burrito. It was made by seaweed, white rice, salad, marinated salmon, marinated tuna, corn, crab salad, seaweed salad, mandarin orange, purple cabbage, avocado, wasabi & sriracha aioli, roasted sesame sauce, onion crisp, corn flakes, and nacho chips. The servers made our dish in front of us. All the ingredients were fresh and combined them together were very tasty.

It was a great experience try the healthy and fresh food. We love our meal at Poke Time.

The freshest and most affordable in the city! I like how they don't limit you on their combos... other places charge so many extra ridiculous fees on each addition even for crisps. yummy yummy recommend the zen bowl with onion crisps and I usually get some yuzu on top for some extra zzzzang

Especially Downtown, there seems to be a new Poke joint popping up almost every week! I won’t lie, as tasty as the Poke that I’ve tried so far is, to me it’ll always be a big bowl of fancy salad lol. That said, I do love the freshness that usually comes with it and all of the different tasty ingredients! For today’s visit, we’re heading to Poke Time’s location on Robson.

Came here on a Saturday late afternoon so the place was not busy. We picked the medium Zen bowl because it has almost everything. The trainee accidentally gave us the large bowl so we got a deal. The sesame sauce was pretty light that went well with the toppings.

○fast food/ service not applicable
○good food/ healthy options
○overpriced for quantity
○if I had to choose 1 dish: spicy chopped scallop bowl add chopped salmon
○would i go back? Maybe

Second time at this location, ordered a custom large bowl with half salad half brown rice.

Service:
Huge bottleneck and extremely slow service. They were running low on many ingredients including prepping for toppings and marinated fish. I waited there for a good 15 min before someone took my order.

Good Quality:
The brown rice was so old and dried up it was not edible.

Overall:
Terrible experience and service - the staff seemed so unprepared and slow.

Y'all are silly giving this place 3 star reviews. It's super cheap, so you have to keep that in mind. Despite that, I went at 9pm and the ingredients were very fresh. For around $12 you get a really healthy, delicious and satisfying meal with a lot of different toppings and variety. Service was good, she definitely was putting some love into the assembly of my meal. Plus, they were beyond patient about me being overly indecisive. My only complaint is the place feels pretty stale being in there. Definitely a grab your meal and go sit somewhere else kind of vibe.

Poké Time serves up what looks like deconstructed sushi with marinated raw cubed fish. And if you get the Super Cruncheritto ($11.95), they call it a burrito but it's more like a massive sushi roll so packed with stuff that they can't roll it up without some of the fillings squeezing out the ends. Unlike sushi, you're not tasting the freshness of the fish so much as the marinade -- yeah, there's sauce. Still, the entire construction of the Cruncheritto tastes fresh and light despite being filling because of the rice.

Firstly, I want to say that I sympathize with the fact that running a business, on Robson Street of all places, in Vancouver is a tough job. The rents are high, the foot traffic is sporadic and a lot of the people are spoiled brats. The behaviour by one customer in Poke Time yesterday was appalling. If I hadn’t been so tired I would have said something to her (the unruly customer) but instead I just shot her looks of disgust and disapproval. Luckily for her, the people working at Poke Time were VERY patient and kind and treated her like they did all other customers, very well.

One of the better poke places I tried while in the city.
I chose the large 3 protein. I like that they had marinated options. Lots of toppings and the best crunchy toppings. Looking forward to coming back

A few notable Vancouver food bloggers and myself were heading to an “Eat! Vancouver event”. Fearing that we would be hungry, and that the event wouldn’t have much food stuffs to offer, we decided to graze before our destination. So we found ourselves at “Poke Time”. All my companions have been to other poke places before, but this would be my first. So with their experience, I was excited to see if poke measured up to the other poke places popping up around town. This is definitely the current food trend that has taken Vancouver by storm.

March 19, 2017 · by ThatShanghaiGirl · The poke craze has literally taken over Vancouver with tons of stores opening one after another. Poké Time is conveniently located on Robson street, making it the perfect place to go after shopping! Personally I prefer

Seating is only bar seating and wasn't friendly for kids, that's why it's not a 5 rating. other than that this place is so great! My kids loved their bowls (ate everything yay) Service was great with staff being so accommodating to all of our requests (we had a lot) Highly recommend for everyone to try!

Decent poke with above average fish quality compared to many other poke places. Lots of toppings available as well as making your poke a burrito. The decor inside is a bit plain, probably best to just stick with take out. If they had more pleasant seating inside it couod be one of my favourite poke spots.

My first time having poke!! I ordered the regular sized zen bowl and it was delicious!! It was big enough for two people to share. Portions are generous and the price is reasonable! Can't wait to come back next time I'm in van!

Compared to my first poké experience at Poke Guy, Poké Time provided more than just the build-your-own model, offering the their own signature creations . Unfortunately all the recipes that I have tried today, including the Hawaiian Tradition, Super Crunch Burrito, and Spicy Scallop, were all lacking of bold flavours. The quality of fish seems a little better at Poke Guy as well, but that could be the result of how they marinate and serve the fish. However, I'm still not convinced yet this new food trend is going to impress me. But maybe 3rd time's a charm? We shall see!

Heck yes! Poke craving satisfied. Portions are huge, price is fair, service is by far the friendliest place I've been to. Try the marinated fish as they were just to die for delicious. Come to burnaby?

My coworkers told me about this place as we work nearby and they were raving about it so I had to try it out. SO GOOD! Food is to delicious and fresh! Staff are so happy and helpful. Price is reasonable considering it's a healthy option and they give you oodles of toppings and fish! I was full from the 2 scooper. Will be back agian for lunch soon!

Continuing my poké adventures in Vancouver, another poké shop is Poké Time on Robson Street. I came here during my lunch break to grab a bowl to go with my coworkers. You can have you poke on a bed of rice, salad, nachos or eat it as a burrito. What I like about them is that you can do pick up or delivery and put your order in advance.

It’s no secret that the latest food trend in Vancouver is poké. Restaurants dedicated towards serving the much beloved Hawaiian marinated, chopped raw seafood salad have been opening up left and right. Looking back, the “oldest” poke shop in Vancouver is Poké Time which opened this past summer at 1258 Robson Street.
What a pleasurable experience. If u like sashimi, poke is a treat. The options are endless - rice bowl, burrito, salad. Pre-made choices and build your own. Generous amounts of fresh marinated raw fish . Sauces are creamy, hot, vinegary, soyish, etc. it's a steal . It's delicious. I highly recommend poke at poketime !

Came her eon my last visit to Vancouver with friends. Their crunch burrito they have on the menu was recommended by staff as one of their popular items and it didn't disappoint. We've had poke before and we never had it like this before. It was so flavourful and fresh and healthy. It can get messy though. Came back again next day for round two before we flew back home.

Poke… Is it a coincidence that Poke (the Hawaiian-inspired cubed fish dish) became popular in Vancouver around the same time that Pokemon Go took the world by storm? In any case, I’m not complaining. We fell in love with poke when we visited Hawaii and were disappointed that we couldn’t find an authentic Hawaiian-style poke place in Vancouver. Then, all of a sudden, a slew of poke restaurants started to open up in Vancouver in 2016. One of the first dedicated poke restaurants to open up this year was Poké Time on Robson.

Came here tonight after talking with the manager yesterday at my store. The place was very clean and the staffs were very friendly! Food was amazing as there were lots of varieties to choose from. I had the Hawaii style and the salmon was fresh with lots of sides vege and different sauces. The portions were great as well for the price and quick turnaround time. Highly recommended. Most of all the staff and Manager are very nice and professional with great recommendations!

Checked this place out with a couple buddies and it was on point. Everything from friendly staff to good food. I had the super crunch burrito and just watching staff try to make it was entertaining on its own. There was a line and probably took about 15 min before I got my food. simple decor, nothing too special except their pineapple wall. Will be baack for sure

one word. Yummy!!! Great food (fresh, decently priced, flavourful, lots of variety), Great staff (friendly, efficient, informative) Simple decor (super cute pineapple wall). Oh and if anyone has been to Hawaii, they have Dole Whip!! yummy!

Favorite poke place in Vancouver. Fresh ingredients and friendly staff. If it's your first time, I recommend getting the Zen Bowl. Delicious with the marinated fish.

Very tasty dinner alternative to eating sushi all the time. I ordered the Zen Bowl (medium size $10.95) because I didn't know what to pick. It did not disappoint as I really enjoyed the combination of flavours -- especially the coconut flakes with the marinated fish. I really liked that I could choose brown rice as an option (they also do ½ rice ½ salad as well).

Each bite was very flavourful, moist with a slight crunch from the toppings and the cabbage. I would totally come back again to try a different combination of ingredients or the same Zen Bowl and swap out one of the marinated sashimi.

I find the option for coconut and fried onion bits for toppings really make the pokebowl taste good. Overall the sashimi tastes like what they're supposed to instead of being bland like sashimi I've had from Pokerrito :/ I think PokeTime's ahi tuna is worth the $1 upgrade 😋 so tasty

We visited Poke Time near the end of summer and ordered a roller, a bowl and a dole whip. It was a lot of food!! But the ingredients were so fresh it didn't leave us feel stuffed sick. The dole whip was very refreshing and aromatic of pineapple and mango! I myself don't eat raw food but I still got a bowl full of delicious proteins and toppings like the shrimp and seaweed. Must try the Hawaiian original sauce!

Poke has been blowing up recently in Vancouver and I love them all! Poke time especially just because they don't limit you on toppings and they have both premarinated fish (like Hawaii) and you can make your own sauce. AND THEY HAVE DOLE WHIP. I tried ahi and salmon in a burrito and staff recommended some sauces and toppings and it was a burst of flavour in my mouth! Loved everything but don't be surprised to wait a little as its a process.

Poke Time located on 1258 Robson Street (at Bute) is a fast food restaurant dedicated entirely to Hawaiian style sushi bar. Vancouver’s craze is booming with these much loved chopped raw seafood salad. The 900 sqft space is bright and open. Similar to Subway, Poke Time is entirely customizable.

Poke Time - fresh, flavourful and filling.
I love that they're not stingy and don't limit the number of toppings and sauces you can get.
You can literally get one of every single mixer, topping, garnish and crunchy topping if you want to and drizzle another sauce on top - if you get a custom build-it-yourself bowl or roller(poke burrito).

The marinated ahi and salmon tasted similar to the Poke in Hawaii❤️ and they have pineapple and mango dole whip just like Hawaii and Disneyland.

It was pretty busy when I went and the line was to the door. From the time I stood at the end of the line, ordered, got my bowl and paid - it was 10 minutes...which wasn't bad at all.

My medium 2 scoop bowl from yesterday had:
- Base: Half rice & Half salad
- Protein: 1 scoop marinated salmon & 1 scoop marinated ahi
- Toppings: carrots, pineapple, corn, crab salad, Mandarin oranges, seaweed salad & cucumbers
- Garnish: masago, ginger, sesame seeds & nori
- Crunchy Toppings: fried onions & corn flakes

Poke Time was located relatively close to Robson and Jervis, so there was minimal walking involved. To my delight, there was no lineup inside the shop whatsoever. The Works and a Zen Bowl (both large) were swiftly prepared to go. Neither girl minded as snapped shots of the ingredients being mixed, though one was clearly less patient that the other.

The Works was Poke Time's ultimate bowl: it included three choices of protein along with their entire selection of toppings and garnishing elements called "mixers". BC Salmon, Tuna, and Ahi Tuna were my selections, though shrimp and tofu were also readily available for the crustacean- and soybean-saavy. It should be noted that Ahi Tuna prompted an additional charge of one dollar.

Zen Bowl was a tad smaller than The Works but equally colourful and packed with delicious, good-for-you ingredients. I had been provided the option of adding crunchy toppings for the final touch; dried coconut shreds were chosen for the Zen Bowl and a mix of crispy garlic, shallots, and coconut for The Works.

This place is delicious! second time going. First time they didn't have marinated fish, which is not traditionally hawaiian and second time I went, they got it! Way to go! They also have dole whip!
Constant Cravings
Poke Time opened up last month and I had been hearing and reading a lot about the new poke (pronounced poh-kay) bars that are suppose to be opening up this year so I really wanted to try it. Also, it’s basically like sashimi on rice so it seemed like it was hard to go wrong with it!. Poke is a raw fish salad that originates from Hawaii. I’ve never been to Hawaii before so I’ve never had the real thing but my friend says that poke is commonly found in grocery stores too and you can buy it deli style there! The photo above was actually taken a few days after my visit so I went before the grand opening. Not sure if things have changed now.
Domo Is Craving...
I’m so glad the long weekend has officially started! Even though the weather has been dreadful these days, I’m really looking forward to sleeping in each morning for the next couple of days!. I personally LOVE sushi and I crave it everyday. When I heard Poke Bowls were opening up in Vancouver Downtown, I was extremely stoked. One of the few that opened up so far is “Poke Time”. It’s located right on the street of Robson. The interior was very simple. They got bar seating against the walls.
Justamorsel
Poke shops have been popping up and around Vancouver for the past month or some. Some far from the city center and some like Poke time in downtown. I was really excited for the Poke burrito and I wasn’t disappointed. There are so many choices that come with the Poke burrito. The type of poke you want, the toppings, the crunch, the sauce, the fillings. So. Many. Choices. I was overwhelmed.
Sparkles
I went with a friend and we both got The Works. I got it with brown rice and lettuce. He got his with brown rice and white rice. The last time I had poke was in California and comparing the two, I found that California had more protein options, and dare I say, fresher fish. It was also cheaper. Poke has fewer protein options and also charges an extra $1 for ahi. At $13 for a large, $1 more for ahi tuna seems unnecessary, especially when the protein portion only takes 1/3 of the bowl. A large won't be enough for a big eater. I'm a smaller eater and I finished my large. My friend finished his large as well. My friend said his needed more sauce, but I found mine is enough sauced.
I found it hard to hear the servers when I was ordering. I know my friend also struggled as well. They have either have to turn down their music or having their servers speak louder. They didn't mind when I kept asking them to repeat themselves though!

I didn't get the dole whip but will the next time!
TheHappySloths
Tried a large "The Works". I love the variety of toppings and the fish tasted very fresh. The ordering process is a tad slow, the staff can definitely work a bit faster to reduce the long lines. The portion is decent although it's bit pricey ($13 for large). If you are super hungry, even the large may not be enough.
