Review The Lennox Pub - Vancouver

Chris Jennings
Beer selection was excellent and my choice was the perfect temperature. I ordered the burger and it was great and the fries were hot and fresh.

Other than the fact it has too many big TVs this is a solid pub. The staff is friendly and attentive. There is a large selection of beers on draft and, this is important, they have bag of chips for sale. Underrated perk.

Ok so please don’t go here thinking it’s a traditional Irish pub. First of all the music at dinner time hours was insanely loud. And heavy metal!? And while trying to get our heads around this crazy party loud music- was a guy calling bingo!!! Trying to call it over the loud music?! So bingo and heavy metal music. We could not even speak to each other at the same table. It was honestly comical. Beer menu was tragic too. Did not eat. Couldn’t get out of there quick enough. Would never return.

Don't get trapped tourists!! Way Overpriced dump with surly, entitled service from staff. Closed for so long. Should have burned it down and started something else. Washrooms were disgusting. 1 star only cause they have lots of decent tvs

Decent food. Good service and nice location. Wasn't too loud so able to talk with friends without yelling and losing my voice

Great pub with a lively atmosphere and really nice staff. If you are a Tottenham Hotspur fan, this is the pub for you. All the local Spurs fans come here to watch the football/soccer and the place is bouncing!

Dropped in to Lennox for Happy Hour. Guiness Pints were 7 bucks. Proper. I was stoked that Backcountry IPA was also 7 bucks. Had a great time. Jack was lightning quick. Settled a Guiness while my friend decided on her drink and both arrived simultaneously. Coming again.

Nice affordable place in the heart of downtown Vancouver. Food quality and quantity was good. It came as a nice hunch to us. Quite a nice ambience inside, feels awesome.

A solid beer and drink selection coupled with cheap food and HUGE portions. I originally discovered this place randomly out downtown late one night with a friend. I'm a sucker for Irish pubs and this one is no exception. Lastly, I liked that the bar itself was a little smaller than most other pubs I've been to which (in my opinion) adds to its appeal by giving it a really nice feeling of coziness and comfort. Give Lennox a try if you haven't already done so. Easily one of my favourite bars!

Decent pub with an average selection of beers and liquors. There's not much setting it apart from other similar establishments in the area, though.

I've been meaning to write up a review of this place for awhile, however I've been far too busy making egregious coin on the stock market of late so I've delayed my review until today. One night before the Chris Rock show at the Orpheum, my friends and I

The service here was horrible whoever was my waitress should be fired. She wasnt friendly, she was rude and she was also racist, only being nice and friendly towards the tables surrounding us who also happened to be white. Never going here again, horrible experience.

Good pub food, good price. The Lennox is at a super easy to get to location, good food (sometime's a little greasy-spoon) but I vote for breakfast food at the Lennox. I find people reading, chilling, and a nice laid back atmosphere when I go for breakfast. It's not top notch, but it's 7/10. I haven't tried their dinner menu I admit, but somehow I'm not sold on having dinner there. Maybe another time.

Ate there on a cold rainy night. Very cozy, sports on TV, very nice server. Liked the food, lots of options. Nice place to relax after a long day of working or shopping.

More than I expected. Today a friend and I took a day trip up to Vancouver from Seattle. We were famished when we happened upon the Lennox. i had the duck burger, and my friend had the salmon burger. I loved my meal! The duck was cooked well, and the portion was huge! The amount of duck the served could've filled another sandwich! As well, the yam fries were great. i like thicker cut fries, and these totally hit the spot. Our waitress was attentive, but not overly so, and gladly split our check for us (even offered before we asked). I will keep this place in mind next time I take a spontaneous day trip to Vancouver!

Great Pub. Due to it's location at one of Vancouver's busiest intersections, it is home to a great blend of tourists, local drop-ins, and regulars.

The patio is one of the great people watching perches in all of Vancouver. You truly see all types.

The staff is always super friendly and effective.

The menu is very diverse for a local pub. I have to admit that I usually stuck to the burgers. But my friends ate a wide range of dishes. The food was always freshly prepared and with more care that you usually expect from a pub.

They have a good (but not huge selection of beers).

The ambiance is pretty much a basic pub. It is pretty large. There are two levels. I always preferred sitting on the patio though. and if not, then on the main level. The top level felt a little tight.

This is just a great pub to spend an evening at with friends.

Never Again - Big Tips without Service. My friends and I (5 altogether) decided to meet at the Lennox Pub because of its central location. We came from all over town and D/T is the hub for everybody. We arrived at about 6:30pm and the place is jumping, due to the airing of a Canadiens hockey playoff game. We found a table upstairs and the waitress finally arrived at our table after 10 minutes. Her attitude was lukewarm at best and it looked like that she did not want to be there. Alright, we can handle that.

A couple of rounds and food (pub fare - Irish stew and burger for a reasonable price) later, we asked for the bill. When we get the bill, we discovered that a 15% on the total amount (after tax which was 12%) has been added onto the bill as tips. However, the bill also printed "Gratuity not included". We used a credit card to pay and on the credit card, there is a space where you can add tips. We think that this kind of behavior is a dishonest business practice. We wrote on the credit card receipt of what our thoughts are. The waitress came over and said that we should have talked to her and that we are rude. She never attempted to explain the situation in a friendly. It is our fault! We were all taken aback. Never in the conversation were we offered an apology and ways to correct the situation. Is that how an establishment treat their customers?

The ambience and beer are OK. The food and prices are average. The service and attitude are not. Never again will we visit this place again.

Great food, not service.. At the recommendation of a friend, I went with another friend for something small and a drink. I had the chicken strips with the coconut breading. They were great, though $12 for four chicken strips is a bit much, but they tasted great and I didn't mind. During the time here, I had decided it was my new favourite place and I would definitely be returning again. That was until the cheque came. We asked to split it and the waitress pressured me to pay the whole thing. We asked to split it again and she made me feel like a was a horrible person for not paying the entire bill. For this reason, I'm not sure if I'll return in the near future - maybe again further into the future.
