The restaurant is completely local and old fashion but if you are looking for having a delicious breakfast or brunch, try it for sure! The taste and quality of foods are perfect👍🏻🤌🏻 Staffs are good but you can see there is one shiny gray hair one who is shining like a star there ✨ The cost was more than great 😄 Try it and enjoy!

As a 20-year old restaurant, Paul’s Omelettery is prominent in one of the most genuine locations in Vancouver. ✅ I’ve been here for 3 times and each time I’ve enjoyed the authentic breakfast & brunch. ❇️ The vibe is always perfect. Its always clean and tidy and everything is just in place. 🤵🏻 The staff always behaves warm & friendly. They know menu well and are super helpful. Recommendations: 🫔For omelette, try 1306 which is really special in taste. 🍳For benny, go for Florentine benny especially if you are hungry. 🥑Avocado Toast is a must try with super tasty sourdough. 🥞 Try the pancake. It has a good size and taste as well. 🍞 For any breakfast, choose sourdough as your bread. 👌 Enjoy!

Wonderful place to get breakfast. I don’t say this that often but it’s the whole package! Lumberjack included a little delicious, creamy delicate 3 cheese omelette and everything was so perfectly done. I don’t even usually like omelettes that much and would normally choose poached eggs but I take the hint when some dish is part of the restaurant’s name. Glad I did. Lots of combos and choices on the menu. Room is comfortable. Service is incredibly warm and friendly. And prices are reasonable, on top of that. Coffee is decent and bottomless, and cream is served in a tiny pitcher (and not those little plastic throwaways, but the whipped butter is. I don’t mind that as much). Coffee could be a bit richer tasting but they serve espresso drinks too. I love the holder of condiments on the table, as opposed to the server asking what you need. There was even some Jamaican hot sauce that had a lot of heat. I wouldn’t ask for anything more. I had to ask for coffee refills when I saw someone with the pot but that doesn’t really bother me. Plenty of seating so they never had a wait when I was there mid-morning. Usually it bugs me when an establishment calls themselves the best in Vancouver but in this case, im inclines to agree that it’s the best breakfast place I’ve been to in a long while at least. They have lunch stuff too.

A cozy spot to grab breakfast. I ordered the Hamilton omelette and it turned out to be very flavorful. The servers were super friendly and offered me peanut butter. Everything is very reasonably priced.

Very good breakfast. Nice tables with all the condiments one would want. Dont order the turkey sausage though. Didnt smell good. All the other food was very good. Recommended.

It’s been over 10 years since I’ve eaten here. I am super happy to see the quality of the food and service has not diminished. My kids would love it here.

This place is an absolute institution in the Vancouver scene. Traditional breakfast and lunch fair and brunch especially on the weekends for those recovering from the evenings activities or just wanting to gather for a great feed earlier in the day. The food is always fresh and hot and Apple. The selection is wide ranging with respect to breakfast fare and brunch fare. Parking can be a mild headache as it is Street-based and it is located directly on Granville Street which is rather busy over the side streets often provide an opportunity to park close by. One of the things you'll notice the most is that service is excellent and the coffee is always topped up as soon as you look away. Business is always excellent here and generally speaking there's a wait but it's well worth it. Value for money is actually quite good. It is a clean and approachable place perfect for a quick business lunch, social breakfast or to bring your family on the weekends. I've been here many times and will come again.

We live on Vancouver Island and make a point of going for breakfast at Paul's. Food is great, and they are very respectful of my dairy allergy. Never a problem! We bring all our visitors to Paul's! We often have to wait for a free table, but it's really worth it! Great coffee and I take it black, black and black.

If you're in search of a good breakfast place with a popular,neighborhood feel, this is it. My husband had the traditional bacon and egg breakfast and I had the grilled cheese. We were not disappointed.

Nothing but the best breakfast in town from this place, ever. The staff are amazing, always have a smile, and the food is beyond delicious! As a suggestion, try the Denver Omelette. Everything you could want in an omelette and always tastes amazing. I get it all the time.

What a great neighbourhood find! Even loved it more when we got a table within 10 min. We got in just before the wait got longer. Turn around is quick - we ordered, ate and paid within about a half hour. I believe the owner took our orders and he was super friendly. A fellow waiter stopped by comment on his Red Sox shirt. Very nice atmosphere. Food was delicious but wasnt over the top in portions and greasy like some other breakfast places. I was comfortably full. I will definitely come back and try the omelettes next time!

This is a nice breakfast/lunch spot located on Granville Street, not far from Granville Island. In addition to omelettes, they serve up a good variety of other breakfast foods as well as lunch items, and also have daily specials. I had their Edison omelette and their Soup & Sandwich special, which consisted of a monte cristo and a cup of tomato bisque. The food was quite tasty and the prices are reasonable. I was a bit disappointed by the service however; the staff I had weren't particularly welcoming or attentive, and while I did receive all of my food without any hitch, I did see the table beside me having their orders being messed up. Nonetheless, I did quite enjoy my visit, and I'd recommend checking the place out.<br/><br/>Soup & Sandwich Special ($12.75):<br/>4/5<br/>This consisted of a monte cristo sandwich and a cup of tomato bisque. The monte cristo contained ham, bacon and cheddar cheese. It was flavourful, although I did find the bread to be a bit soggy. I'm generally not a fan of tomato soup, but I have to say, I really enjoyed theirs. The soup was very creamy and rich, with a nice tang.<br/><br/>The Edison ($13.25):<br/>4/5<br/>The omelette contained turkey, bacon, corn, musrhoom, onion, edam, cheddar & cream cheese, and is served with two slices of buttered toast. There was a good amount of filling wrapped inside the omelette, in particular cheese. I did find it to be just a tad underseasoned however. Came on Saturday during lunch time around noon-ishand there was already a short line up. We waited for about 15 minutes for a small table. The waiter came over to offer coffee shortly after we sat down and I got myself a cup (it's refillable) while my friend got an apple ginger juice...which was just ok. We both ordered the Zimmer. I think it was not bad except that the poached eggs are just slightly overcooked.

Paul' place kinda had that home feel restaurant look but with a modern twist. I had the Blackstone eggs Benedict, I'm pretty picky when it comes to this dish just cause so many restaurants make the hollandaise sauce heavy but it was just right and the eggs were perfectly done. The dish comes with hash browns as well and they were pretty well seasoned. The service was excellent.

This place is pack on Sunday and they serve different options of brekkie. There are lots of meat sausage option (yum) but there's also decent varieties for our veggie friends. Overall service is alright (the coffee kept coming 😉) and the wait was not too bad. It's DIY to put your name down to get in the queue. If you are in the neighbourhood , do try this place. Btw, I find the quesadilla brekkie better than the omelet (imo) ...

Now I should've ordered a omelette but I just love bennys too much because of the yolks lol. My experience was pleasant and service is 5/5 for me. Tried something new. Not a bad little place but it wasn't mind blowing. There was a bit of a wait so it is super popular. They do let you put your name down so that's a plus. <br/><br/>Our waitress was friendly but I think the poor girl had to many tables, still she managed to give us pretty decent service. <br/><br/>I got a fresh Oj, and some French toast with a side of scrambled eggs. My friend got the corned beef hash and a side of bratwurst sausage. I personally found my French toast was dry and ended up having to load it up with maple syrup. My side of egg was more like a folded omelette than scramble eggs. All in all my meal was okay. My friends corned beef hash wasn't bad and the side of sausage was not bad at all. The ceasar was a bit to spicy for my liking. <br/><br/>All in all I wouldn't rush back here. Perhaps I should have tried the omelets. <br/><br/>

Went here for the first time today. I got the corned beef hash. It was good. When it came to me the eggs were poached hard. I wanted soft. The waitress fixed the problem immediately. Needless to say, the service was great. The food was also quite good. I enjoyed it and will probably return.

Given how much I love brunch, it’s actually a bit shocking to myself that I had never ever been to Paul’s Omelettery until a few weeks ago. First time here and really liked their food and coffee. I went on a weekend and it was full! Luckily I didn’t have to wait long for a table. The decor is quite minimalistic - black and white theme - but still very cozy. There are big windows, which lets in lots of wonderful light from the outside. The only thing that would stop me from coming here more often is the lack of free parking.

Average.  Just average.  The coffee was drinkable.  Just drinkable.  The food was okay, but my friend's and my order were both incorrect in simple and basic ways dealing with the number of poached eggs Benedict, (two, not one as he ordered); and, the eggs scrambled dry instead of soft.  <br/><br/>If I lived in the neighbourhood, I might drop in from time to time, but there is nothing that warrants a special trip to this place.<br/><br/>Lastly, I'm surprised no one has been injured on the long, steep, overcarpeted staircase to the toilets.

Great breakfast/brunch place. Omelette a are delicious. We got the 3 cheese and meat lover omelettes. My husband also got pancakes which were fluffy and light. The wait is long during peak times but might be worth the wait.

It was okay... Omelette amazing.. I had a breakfast sandwich and it was okay. It was so busy and took forever to get our food. I would give it another shot and try some different stuff before I make a final decision.

After all, classic American breakfast items have made it this far in history for a reason, and this restaurant continues to support that. The other nice thing about Paul’s place is that they have a very reasonable price point; ~$20 should be more than enough to get you a full meal with a cup of coffee here. So next time your omelette craving hits you, this is where you should go!

Casual Spot for some Comfort Food. The food is good, the service is friendly, and the space is not shabby. The all day breakfast menu is quite lengthy and there are a variety of lunch sandwiches as well.<br/>The Zimmer (rye toast with avocado, sprouts, and poached egg) was great, and so did the omelette and veggie sandwich the rest of my table had. I don't normally get sandwiches at restaurants, but the veggie sandwich looked packed with great ingredients so I might give that a try in the future. <br/>It's a great spot for breakfast or lunch on a weekday since there aren't many places that open this early. The food isn't particularly unique so it's not something I would stand in line for (they get massive line ups on weekend during brunch). But if you're ever craving some simple egg dishes or a good sandwich on a weekday, Paul's Place would be an option.

This place is always busy.. But there's a very good reason for that! My go-to is the corned beef hash and freshly squeezed orange juice. Mmm.

Omelettes just aren't that exciting. I've never understood the allure of breakfast places. Lots of people are absolutely rapt about places to have the first meal of the day, including a friend of mine who I met here on the final morning of a holiday in Vancouver. Paul's is a fine place to eat, good location on Granville Street south of the bridge, clean inside, comfy modern furnishings, friendly service. My omelette with Oktoberfest sausage, edam cheese and veggies was cooked fluffy and had an ample blend of fillings to balance out the egg. The chunky home fries were good too -- done by hand, not out of a McCain's bag. For $9.95, the price was fair. But it was still just an omelette and fried potatoes. I can’t get excited over food that I can make at home.<br/><br/>My cappuccino was small, milky, didn't have great coffee flavour. It was a trifle bitter compared to what I'm accustomed to in Australia, the land of great coffee. If you're REALLY into brekkie, Paul's is a worth a go. Personally, I'd rather save my sit-down dining experiences for lunch and dinner.

The meal did not impress me yet. I went to this restaurant on a frinday morning with my friend. The location was very easy to find. The restaurant was not full, many seats could be picked. I ordered a half size breakfast, called eggin lite. It was ok, nothing special. The thing i liked was i could order a half size meal and they panned fried the potatoes. my meal was not greasy. However, my friend ordered a corned beef hash meal. The bacon was very greasy, full of fat, he did not read the menu well. The rye toasts were good. sometimes , the waitress just passed us without paying any attention to us when we tried to get more coffee.

I've visited Paul's years ago and more recently. Just as I remember - perfect thin omelette with lots if filling options. Benidicts are perfect. Tried this morning, 915am and wait was ten to twelve people

This is definitley one of the best brunch spots in the city. The 20-30 minute wait is well worth it each time. So far each time ive been here ive had an omelette, the fairview and the meatlovers, both are amazing! I always get a side of sour cream and salsa, the salsa is teriffic and made in house. I usually go after a bit of my gf's french toast, it is also just great, absolutely love it here.

I've never been scolded by a server before. I was seated close to the door, feet getting cold with the draft, and asked if I could move to another spot. Before I could even finish my sentence, the server threw her hands up in mid-air, tilted her head, and uttered the words as she walked away in a dismissive manner: "You can sit wherEVER you'd like". Slightly shocked, I decided maybe I should stay put. Now she had turned around and abruptly asked me, "Where would you like to sit?" (I felt instantly reduced to a toddler intimidated by an impatient mother's tone of voice.) I pointed to the other corner. Finally, as she practically tossed the menu down the table, she said, "I find there isn't any spot that's warm" and walked away. <br/>As lame as it sounds, I have never been emotionally "hurt" by a server before. If you cannot be courteous and cheerful, please at least don't be rude and hurtful. I was contemplating how I would communicate this to her and tried to get the server's attention. The place was not busy. But then my friend arrived and cheered me up by saying "Forget about it and focus on the fact that there's beautiful snow outside." <br/>I am never setting foot in here again.

Homey & Cozy with brunch catered to everyone's tongue.. Visiting this place on a weekend morning, prepare to wait. Waited for nearly 30 minutes for a table for 6. A wide range of variety on their menu. Wanting to eat clean and healthy today, I got the porridge (large): oats, dried apricots, raisins, almonds & cinnamon $5.25. Yum! As a fan of oatmeal, I really enjoyed it along with brown sugar and creamy milk. Large is seriously large, I was only able to eat half of the bowl. I should have opted for the small! I like how they have really small portions. For example, my friend who eats very little was able to get the One Egg which consisted of an egg, toast, and pan fries for only $4.75. To feel even better about it, they only use "BC Free Run eggs"! Homey, cozy atmosphere with food catered to everyone's tongue.

Long wait to get seated and to get our food, and Da Vinci omelette wasn't anything to brag about. Not sure why they charge $2 to substitute a Cesar instead of garden salad (how much is it for a couple croutons??). Only good thing I found is they say they use free range eggs.

Way Better Than Any Of The Chains But Nothing Nothing All That Special In Our Opinion. Worth A Try For Breakfast.

Bad Service, mediocre food. Our server only visited our table twice: first time for ordering the breakfast and second time for the bill. Is this the "good and attentive service" that all the previous review mentioned? Or we walked into the wrong restaurant? Espresso was terrible from their automative espresso machine. It lacked the smell of freshly ground coffee. Cappuccino was a missed hit too. The De Vinci omelette was overcooked and really greasy and their Club Sandwich was extremely dry and boring. The food portions were quite small comparing to other fine brunch restaurants in Downtown. Why spend time and money here?

What happened at Paul's??. I was visiting family in Vancouver last weekend and we decided that it would be nice to head over to Paul's Place for a delicious late breakfast. It had been a few years...but the memories of many a great meal at that spot had me looking forward to yet another. We were quickly seated as there was no line-up...in the past there had always been wait for a table...because the food is so very wonderful......no line-up on thisSunday!?...it made me wonder. If I were the head chef I would take note. Polite, efficient service but not particularly welcoming...yes I realize that it is a busy place but one can smile warmly...it only takes a second. <br/><br/> We ordered as always,... (creatures of habit that we are) the pancakes (ordering real maple syrup on the side) and the veg. omelette with the winner cheese mixture and the veg. combination inside...honestly the last five times that I ordered their '3 egg' omelette with toast there was no 'plate' to be seen...Each and every time I ordered my favourite, the plate was easily half covered with a delectable tender golden huge omelette oozing with the famous 3 cheese combo, basil leaves, large pieces of bright green asparagus and I think zucchini as well if memory serves me well. When I saw the older trim fellow arrive with that morning delight...all was right in the world. What arrived this time what dismal to say the least....all that shiny ceramic plate staring at me!!! Yikes...where did my breakfast of dreams go? The omelette was a pale comparison to say the least.. It reminded me of.the thin 'folded' style of omelette that one receives in airports or even airplanes...eeeewh...I have never seen such a tiny 3 egg omelette in my life ...and part of that life was working as a chef for 12 years. ...and unfortunately the chosen vegetables inside the omelette had mushed into small overcooked soggy bits.., lacking in flavour and all that appealing vegetable texture lost due to the unfortunate handling of the filling. <br/><br/> My partner's pancakes were also a huge disappointment...oh dear, what could the matter be? They used to be so delicious, slightly stretchy, perfectly browned and flavour-full!! Alas what came to the table was a poor excuse for a pancake by anyone's standards. Doughy, gummy and without flavour...even with the 'real' syrup to tart it up...the pancake was a flop...We didn't even finish it and that almost never happens....I hate to go on but...even the coffee has gone down hill!! Watery and without heft...has the business changed hands in the past few years? I noticed the new fabric on the banquettes ...but unfortunately that was not what I had come for.<br/><br/>cheryl peter

I have tried this place for breakfast a few times and each time I say I won't be back. It's not that it's bad, but it just isn't good. There is an odd aftertaste to regular bacon and eggs that I can't quite identify. It just doesnt make it for me so this time really was the last. Good points include the diner-like atmosphere and the service is pretty good. Uninspiring food is the killer.

Great attentive service. I am unsure about the omelet though... I don't like its texture how they folded thin "egg sheets" to create one. I didn't want to give it a thumbs down because...perhaps trying another dish will make up for it. Even though the place was cramped, service was on-spot and presentation of food was appealing.

Simple Food and Service. The breakfast is your standard breakfast joint. Nothing too fancy but that is also what is so excellent about this place. The service is always rushed, borderline attentive and sometimes even rude... but I am willing to sacrifice good service for the much better food. Prices are reasonable.

Wish I had tried it sooner!. My husband and I have lived in South Granville now for almost 6 months, just minutes away from Paul's Place. I always knew it was there but had I known what a great little neighborhood spot this was, I would have tried it must sooner! Very homey, very welcoming and obviously has its fair share of regulars (most people came in and added themselves to the waitlist while being acknowledged by name by all of the staff). <br/>As for the food, I had the "Paul's Special Oatmeal" which was indeed very special. A monstrous serving of oatmeal, with apricots, thinly sliced almonds, raisins and berry compote for natural sweetness (they also serve brown sugar on the side for those who like it sweeter). My husband, who is usually a simple bacon and eggs brunch guy, had the pulled pork hash which he thought was delicious and filling. I look forward to trying the veggie hash the next time (if I can bring myself to forgo the delicious oatmeal!).<br/> Looking forward to another friendly and yummy breakfast at Paul's soon!

Great Place. Friendly Staff, Great Food, Great Prices -- Frequently visit them. Does get really busy, line-ups often out the door.

One word: Delicious. I found the restaurant to be very cozy and inviting. The atmosphere was really vibrant. My goal is to try various salmon Benny around town, so I definitely tried it at this place. The service was very friendly and hospitable. The seafood Benny was good. And for $9.75 it's great value. The potatoes were made just right. I will definitely be back to try other items in their menu. Overall experience: Two Thumbs Up!!

Simply tasteful and comforting. My first visit here and I very much enjoyed the welcoming & quick service (was greeted within a minute!), family friendly but not TOO noisy & super laid back ambiance, cleanliness and uncomplicated/traditional, not badly-priced plates of breakfast. I was only not digging the $2.25 cup of coffee. It wasn't very good at all. I went for an omelette on this my first visit, although there looks to be many other delightful options that I know I will be going back to try out.

I really like this place for weekday lunch, especially I'd I am in the mood for breakfast items for lunch. But their sandwich specials are good too. It's not too rushed at lunch, so it is a nice place to savour an extra cup of coffee after eating.

First Impression... great.. I took my mother here for breakfast last time she came to visit and very much enjoyed it. I had the corned beef hash and it was very tasty and filling. I will be back.

Favourite Breakfast Joint. Paul's is our favourite regular haunt. We love the staff, the food is a cut above your average greasy spoon (order the "Blackstone Omelette" - tomatoes, bacon and brie - hello!), and the coffee is both good and bottomless :D

Not the same Paul's. Ever since the change of ownership this place has been going downhill. I've been there twice since the original owner left and been disappointed both times. You're really overpayng for simple comfort food like omelettes. If you don't order orange juice or coffee you get that dirty look that says "hey, if I don't make you run up the bill I won't get as big a tip." Eat here if you have damaged taste buds and more extra cash than brains. Otherwise you'd be better off at White Spot.

Love the buzz of Paul's on the weekend. Great service great food good value. Love the décor and location. We will be back.

Paul's not the same. Ever since the original owner Paul left the place is not the same. I've frequented this place for years but in the last while the quality and friendliness seems to have dropped. My last two visits didn't leave me with the urge to come back again real soon.

Paul’s Omelettery is a small/medium size restaurant located near the Granville bridge in Vancouver. Obvious to the name they are an all day breakfast restaurant however they also serve other heavier dishes such as sandwiches and burgers. However if you come here there you should at least get some kind of Omelet as it is their specialty.

It was a Monday, the rain was pouring and "Tim Horton's" wasn't going to cut it. Waking early for work I wanted to start my day with something a little healthier and a little more satisfying. I walked along the South Granville strip, and set my destination on the only non chain restaurant open at 7am in the morning.   Walking into "Paul's Omelettery" was like walking into a house. But here the only furniture was patterned booths and black coloured tables and chairs. Each table hosted the usual condiments for a breakfast and an early lunch: ketchup, salt, sugar, pepper, and hot sauce. An island bar centered the room, it was in your path to the swinging doors, that led to the kitchen. I questioned the need for a bar here. With a closing time of 3pm, that speaks to their earlier breakfast, brunch, and lunch crowd; how many people actually take a cocktail with their French toast or a shot with their over easy eggs? This is one of my favorite places to have brunch in Vancouver! It is always so yummy and they make perfect poached eggs! They have a great selection on their menu too. I always have such a hard time picking out what I want.<br/>The service here is always great as well. A downfall is that this place is a little pricey and also hard to find parking at times, but despite all that, the food is really worth it!

Another Sunday, another good brunch. Paul’s Place Omelettery is definitely a breakfast spot that I wouldn’t mind hitting up again. Surprisingly I liked their French toast more than their omelette, but the bottom line is that there’s nothing disappointing to be found here. I’ll be back soon!

The eggs were very thin, light, and fluffy. There was also the perfect amount of fillings so that it wasn’t overflowing or bursting open, but it was still a substantial size. I really enjoyed the mixture of fillings in the omelette. I liked that they used roasted turkey because it is something different from the regular bacon options.  The florentine omelette ($9.50) with shiitake, oyster, button, mushrooms, as well as garlic, onion, spinach, and cheese was delicious.  Made with the eggs, the omelette itself was actually quite thin, with what seemed like sheets of egg, rather than one.  

The interior decor of Paul’s is rather classic with white walls offset with dark tables and chairs and shades of grey throughout.  I have heard that this place can get busy in the mornings but it was thankfully fairly empty when I arrived at 8am.

I work in the South Granville area and my mom and sister came to meet me, check out my office digs, and go for lunch. As always, I had a plethora of options for them to choose from and narrowed it down to 5 places. We came early in the morning and there was already a line up of people waiting to be seated. It is located just off of the Granville Street bridge.
