Review The Pawn Shop Yvr - Vancouver

Excellent bar + Mexican restaurant that opens till after midnight. Had different types of Tacos. They all tasted good. Fish and shrimp tacos were fresh and everything included fresh veggies such as tomatoes making the food feel not heavy or greasy. A bit on the pricier side for the premium Tacos but worth. We shared a slush bowl. Decent size drink although not something a person couldn't drink if they wanted to. Drink tastes good too. Ambiance was nice. Great find for a late night dinner date.

Good friendly service, great prices for happy hour. Drinks were great at $4.95 on Sundays until 5pm. Tacos were just ok. Had the mushroom, cauliflower and beef. Beef seemed bland and dry. Mushroom was our favorite. Tater tots were great!

Thinking about coming here during Christmas? Do it! This place is decked out, it’s absolutely adorable! Can’t go wrong with $2.50 happy hour tacos which were also super delicious. My favourite were the mushroom and cauliflower taco.

Great happy hour tacos prices, hot sauce selection was on point, service was fast too - would recommend for cheap eats! 2.49/taco on a Tuesday? Who can say no to that deal??

It did not know this place existed so I walk in and sat. The reason I drop by was for their drinks. At this time of the year, they created Christmas drinks and they are wonderful. I know I tried three on my visit, no regrets and no remorse. I will be back before the year is over for my second round of drinks. After the drinks arrive quickly, I order some food. Here I am happy again with their food. In conclusion, I will return as much as for the food than the drinks. It's a place to have a good time. 👍

Gets crowdy during the weekend. The menú is short but powerful. As a mexican I can Say they have pretty good tacos! La salsa is not so spicy, but they have habanero salsa in the tables if you like to eat picoso 🔥

The food was ok, Tacos weren't warm when I got 'em. Got there about 45 mins into happy hour, where you need to have minimum 3 tacos, they're small so it's doable. Tacos were $1.99 each, drinks were $4.95 each. Service was quick. The churros were good!

Delicious tacos, generously topped. Fun place for a couple drinks with friends! Very reasonable and happy hour menu is great too!

Cute little tequila bar serving delicious tacos and slushees. We came here for happy hour which ensures plenty of food and drinks for a great price. Service is fun and friendly and atmosphere is chilled. Worth checking out if you’re Downtown.

Really wanted boozy punch bowls for my birthday and Tiki Lounge was booked up. After a quick google search, I found The Pawn Shop had "fishbowls" and made a reservation for 10. Unfortunately for me, I should have read some of the previous reviews as it would have been an indication of things to come.

The fishbowls were very disappointing. If you're expecting anything even close to the quality of a real punch bowl, don't bother. After 2-3 of the shareable versions (to mostly myself!), we gave up and started ordering tequila. We must have spent about over $700 between the 10 of us and most of us left with barely a buzz. That's fine, I can live with that. Disappointing, but maybe I should have expected that.

As for the food, it's nothing to write home about, but certainly not bad. Don't think I'd go out of my way to come back here, but if I'm around during happy hour then I might consider it.

And here's the kicker; the reason for this 1-star review. A friend made me a cheesecake, my favourite. We were so bloated off the sugary, barely-alcoholic fishbowls that we could only finish half of it. Since we were heading out on the town, we asked if we could leave it and pick it up in the morning. They kindly agreed and so we left. The next afternoon, we returned to pick it up and... the manager can't find it. Calls us back a few hours later to say that the "plate has been found". LOL, these guys ate my damn cake after a $700 bill... pathetic.

Like I said, I should have known. Reading the previous reviews, seems like management has no handle on the staff. Oh well, lesson learned.

Today I was meeting up a friend for dinner. She admittedly is particular when it comes to eating out, so whenever we do, its at a restaurant that is within her wheelhouse. More often than not it is Mexican, today it would be “Tacos, Tapas, and Tequila” from “The Pawn Shop”. I first heard of “Pawn Shop” at a mixology competition, where their bartender had participated. Hearing the uniqueness of their name, I made a mental note, wanting to visit them just because of it. Often a funky name leads to a funky restaurant to match, and here they did not disappoint.

We had a great time with our tacos and blueberry margaritas. In the middle of the busy entertainment district on Granville Street, the new taco tequila bar keeps evolving and refreshing their East L.A. inspired looks, attracting the hip younger crowd. The latest updates including the new light fixtures have brightened up the place a lot. The tacos here are good choices for casual lunch, happy hour and late night parties on the weekends.

Great decor, music, service, and overall atmosphere. Awesome happy hour deals ($1.25 tacos!!) And decent prices otherwise. Really tasty food but the drinks were incredibly sweet. We tried a variety of drinks but they all suffered the same problem. Skip the mixed drinks but enjoy the food!

One of the best parts about starting a food blog is all the amazing new people I have had the opportunity to meet. Teresa and I decided to meet on a scorching hot weekend to partake in some $1 tacos! Unfortunately for use there was no more seating on the patio so we had to sit inside and it was almost impossible to have a conversation over the thumping music.

The Pawn Shop is a new restaurant on Granville Street specializing in Tacos, Tapas and Tequila. The took over SIP Resto Lounge and brings an awesome space for locals and tourists to enjoy. We were curious about their name as well as their tacos. There are tons of seat inside and it has a dark vibe with graffiti and neon signs on the walls. It definitely has a young hip vibe going on.

Just went here for a birthday party for myself, my brother and his girlfriend. The staff were really accommodating for our big group. The food and drinks were awesome as too. Everyone loved the tacos, I had the "El Hefe" which was 2 pork belly taco with shells made from fried cheese, and it was freakin delicious! The places had a really fun atmosphere with great tunes as well.

Wandered in yesterday mid afternoon around 5. Super funky bar, insanely good happy hour deal ate 8 awesome tacos (one of each kind all really good, like mexico style) 3 beers for under $30 all in. In Vancouver. Wtf?

3 months new apparently and they definitely have their sh1t dialled already would definitely go back. All the rest of the food sounded awesome too but alas only one stomach.
