One of the best upscale grocery stores in downtown Vancouver. In addition to gourmet groceries, they have hot food bar at this location, as well as really well priced gourmet pizzas by weight (salmon pizza as well!) and a large seating area indoors and outdoors. Limited tables indoors during the current lockdown. Amazing upscale vibe store with delicious food. Gets a little busy during lunch hours, but frees up a bit after around 2 pm. Free wifi.

This is the best Urban Fare store in Vancouver. Great location, convenient underground parking, huge grocery and produce selection. Warm and tasty meals at reasonable prices vertually all day. The in-store Starbucks next to the Bakery section makes it easy to take out your favorite coffee and pastry. It is a pleasure to shop here.

We had breakfast here and were satisfied about their hot breakfast options. The sitting area was clean and spacious. The price was reasonable. The service was prompt and courteous. And the food - it's had to get it wrong for fry eggs, toasts and coffee! The open early at 7am. Recommended!

I'm only writing cause this is the second time it's happened now. We bought some sirloin yesterday, pulled it out of the fridge today before dinner and gave it a quick sniff. It's already funky smelling and this is the second time this has happened with the packaged beef at this location. It's supposed to go bad on the 6th, that was 3 days after the day we bought it. We got 2, both smelled weird!! We buy beef frequently so we know when beef smells weird. Why does this happen to the packaged stuff but not the beef we get over at the counter?? That was $20 straight into the garbage. I know beef can get discolored sometimes, that's fine, that's not what this complaint is about. Both pieces smelled off the day after purchase, 2 days before posted expiry date.

Nice deli and meat area. Not too much in the way of general packaged goods, but a lot of fresh and in house stuff. Avoid the bakery. The stuff there is super stale and gross. Spent good money on a cake that tasted 3-days old. Good produce section, though.

Needed a quick gift so went to Urban Fare on Alberni street and saw gift boxes by Guest Services. Sina who is in charge there was amazing!!! Even though I caught him just before end of shift he gave me a direct number to call the next morning. He put together the basket which I gave my budget for, attached a card and then sent me copy of receipt with pictures of the basket. Amazing!! Something very special when people take pride in their work and go above and beyond! Such a great gift idea as well! Can’t go wrong with a gift basket with Urban Fare’s unique brands.

It's upscale because they sell expensive products but the quality of service is poor. The Bute location staff are much more friendly and helpful. Every time I've beek to the Alberni location, the cashiers have been so cold and unfriendly. They interact with customers the most and they are the least approachable. No response when you say hello and thank you.

Got some Chinese food from the bar sweet beef dish payed and didn’t get a recite, the food tasted bad like the sugar they added to the dish was burnt made it taste bad. Went to the counter to ask for refund even thou I just payed about 5min before they refused to refund the full amount. I guess my suggestion is keep the proof of purchase so you won’t the same bad experience as me.
