Review St. Regis Bar & Grill - Vancouver

Great bar to head to to watch games and get drinks with friends! Extremely friendly and attentive staff on what was a fairly busy night. Has lots of space for when seating restrictions for groups is lifted. Food, while not the biggest selection, all the share plates were bomb, I love the batter on the wings. I personally ordered the Nashville style chicken burger and I have to say it's a great burger. Was not expecting out of place like this. All in all great place to socialize w friends and have a few drinks while catching a game or just listening to the music

Four of us had an awesome time at late night happy hour. The service was excellent - our server Danielle was really fun and friendly (and she checked in often). We were happy with our food choices - the chocolate chip cookie skillet was super decadent.

Love St Regis Bar and Grill. The staff are fantastic, beer is affordable. The food looked great, I had already eaten so can't comment but comments I heard were very positive.

Wish I had come here sooner so I could have visited again during our short stay. Pleasant and welcoming staff. It has a very local feel which I liked. Beef barley soup was excellent. The burger looked great at the next table. High marks for my Turkey club too.

Menu has changed post COVID-19. The staff are still nice and assertive, the food taste good. I do miss the deep fried trio (fries, onion fries and sweet potato fries) but the potato skins is pretty good too!

Our group of 6 thought we would try this place out since we were staying at the St. Regis hotel next door. So happy we made this choice. Excellent drinks and food. Big portions, too. Huge and delicious nachos. Highly recommend. Many TVs. We were given drink vouchers to use for staying at the hotel.

Had good service during lunch on a weekday with minimal patrons. The beef dip was adequate but not amazing. The menu selection is pretty standard and the pricing is high for what it is. A decent option for a business lunch.

Was here at 5:50 pm on a Saturday. There were alot of events happening downtown that day and was surprised when entering that it was pretty empty. Made it in time for happy hour specials. The beer was cold, and when the meal came it was very appetizing. The beef dip was excellent, the fries were hot, the only letdown was the pickle(seriously, it was one of the worst pickles I have probably ever had). Had another server grab our bill, since our original one was busy with a large table that entered after us. A good experience, and will return.

The food and service were outstanding. I forgot to ask the waitress name when we were there last night. Definitely will recommend this place for friends gathering! šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘

I was out for some Christmas cheer with friends at St. Regis. We had a great time and our waitress was super! Not only did she find my wallet under the table after I left, she found my business card in it and called me. I had just literally realized it was missing and was in a complete panic! Thanks to the amazing woman who served us five loud ladies on Dec. 21st. You are the best ļæ½

I would pass on the quinoa salad. It was just plain quinoa on the top of a green salad with a few extra vegetables. Because the quinoa was not mixed with the rest of the salad it tasted very bland. I ordered it with chicken and the chicken itself was very tasty. Service was excellent though.

Again... After a short stop in 2013, a double longer stop in 2015, here i am again in 2017 at the end of my holidays.... (i stay at St. Regis Hotel). The bar is great, the food is excellent, the beer is cold, and..... Very important.... Amazing Staff. Thanks Ladies for the nice service and the smiles. Will come back for sure.

Food was ok but servied on cold plates, wait staff were very slow even with only a handful of people in restaurant, my tip reflected your efforts,

You can't beat the comfortable atmosphere, personable staff and affordable prices in downtown Vancouver! Unique lunch specials throughout the week, seasonal rotating taps and delicious weekend brunch.. You can't go wrong!

Was lucky to wander in at Happy Hour so my drinks were cheap. I thought the price for a salad was high....until I ate it! Was the best Cobb salad EVER! Well worth it! The service was excellent. The decor was nice and the sound system amazing while watching sports. I live nearby and we will be back Cheersļæ½

St. Regis Bar & Grill is located at 608 Dunsmuir Street (corner Seymour). It is close to the Granville Skystrain station and offers large screens great for watching games! The menu focus on pub fare using quality local sustainable ingredients ā€“ their burgers are never frozen and usesĀ 100% ā€˜AAAā€™ Chuck and Brisket fromĀ Cioffiā€™s Meat Market & Deli.

Mediocre. I've had under baked pizza and super under baked nachos. None of the cheese below the top was melted. Staff is nice, though!! Just get a burger.

I was invited to a media event at ā€œSt. Regis Bar & Grillā€. This was a sneak peak at the seasonā€™s new dishes, in celebration of winter and the celebration season. An exclusive menu tasting with Executive Chef Daniel Ackland. And truth be told, before today it is not one of those places I would think to visit otherwise. As always, when it comes to a media tasting: plating and portion size may be gussied up and/or paired down, and the service will usually be top notch. Though I can at least paint you the most accurate image when it comes to the food and the setting, as how I interpret it. But please be mindful, these are my opinions and you need not take them as fact. Unless you have my exact background, have lived my exact experiences, and we possess the same tongue: no one can truly taste and appreciate as you do.

Keep in mind while reading this that I was really hung over when I was here.

I ordered the veggie skillet with a Caesar. It took a REALLY long time to arrive. Luckily I was basically asleep for the whole wait. The first thing I did was ate a piece of avacado. It seemed flavorless. Probably the hangover because everything on the plate was pretty bad. I've eaten breakfast hungover a million times though, and this has never happened to me before. I honestly can't say for sure if the food was that bland or not though; however, the Caesar tasted fine! I might come back and give it another chance just because Caesars are $4.75 on Sundays :)

When looking to grab a drink and maybe an appie or burger downtown, there are countless joints out there to satisfy you! Some may have cheaper food and drinks, but worse service, while others will have the opposite. The St. Regis Bar was sort ofā€¦.in the middle somewhere, compromising between somewhat cheap food and somewhat okay service.

The staff were super disoriented. The hostess told us to sit wherever we wanted and I guess she never informed the waitress that there were new diners to serve so we had to flag her down after waiting for about 20 minutes with no service. Our food took a while to come and it was nothing special. My friend ordered chicken strips and fries and I ordered the shrimp gyozas. The inside of the gyozas were mushy? The texture felt like raw ground beef ? I'm not sure if that's how it was supposed to be but it wasn't all too pleasant

a bar in the heart location of downtown and opens up until 3 am.

came here at around 11:30ish am there are 2 people tending around 30 people, busy night for those 2 waiters. so will need to be patient, and the waitress/waiter/bartender was great though and attentive for tending all the people :)

so then, ordered right away, 1 calamari, half pound of bbq chicken wings, and 1 meat lovers pizza. the calamari and wings cane within 10 minutes and the pizza around 25 minutes.

the calamari my friend likes it/ but inpersonally think it's a little bit plain, maybe i've just had too much of chinese style deep fried squid which is really flavourful, but it's definitely okay, they deepfried the calamari with jalapeno and there are shreds of onions as well. The chicken wings are meaty! really great, the first bite, the bbq sauce is present and not overwhelming and crispiness of the deepfried was awesome. but after 40 minites the chicken wing's skin became a lot more chewier and more elastic, but definitely still okay. Then, as for the pizza, they came in from a very cute rectangular thin crust pizza, doesn't seem much ingredients, but still yasted good overall, the sides have very very crispy crust :) and the taste of the pepperoni/cheese is decent, but definitely good overall. the meatlover at first impression does looks like a peperoni pizza. :(

overall it's great/good food for late night menu, but the price are more towards the expensive side :( would i recommend it? hmmm not really, but at this hour there are few choices, including a few in gastowns. but the food is definitely slighly above average. the price though :((

Food was great, Service TERRIBLE!!. Let me say that the hostess out front was friendly and seated us quickly. The server came right away and got our drink order, which was great. Seemed like it was going to be a great time out. Then things went south. The previously mentioned drink order came about 10 minutes later, which is when our order was placed. The food came out quickly, and that was the last time we saw a server or staff member at all for about the next 20 minutes. The food was great, however, an hour at a restaurant and we were able to order two drinks total? Tack on another 10 minutes to receive the bill. Made for an annoying evening.

Terrible experience! Food was not delivered as ordered. Food was cold throughout. Chef came out to the eating area and was arguing with a server in front of us. Waited 15minutes after finishing for our server to bring the check which he never did, ended up having to ask another server for the bill. Will not be going back

Beef dip yum. I had the beef dip with a side salad meal. The au jus was flavourful and the salad had a lot of flavour in it, i would leave out the red onion next time. Overall, a very satisfying meal. The service was great and attentive.

Brilliant menu and great cocktails :) lovely place, and waitresses are very friendly :) will definitely come back x

Great staff, meh food. You won't find friendlier staff anywhere in the city. You will find better food nearly everywhere else. Their nachos are good but if you are going to order anything that has chicken in it, get a big glass of water because the chicken is DRY. I like my chicken on the dry side but they serve by far the most dried out chicken I've ever had.

Good food; informal atmosphere. It's very noisy, which is fine for a pub. This is a good place to eat and watch hockey with friends.

Great Service and food. The St Regis hotel is one of my favorite spots to go for a downtown beer. My friend and I had to take some pictures for a school project the other day which can be awkward for restaurants. Lacey (who has given us excellent service many times) and Matt were very accommodating and made us feel very welcome.

Thanks St Regis for great food and great service

Stuffed Baby Yorkshire Puddings. Traditional Yorkshire pudding stuffed with shaved roast beef, carmelized onions and green onions topped with rich beef au jus. Beautifully presented and served with horseradish sour cream and a decanter of extra au jus.

Do you know what that kind of thing can do to a person? The struggle, well it is real people. And let me tell you what else is real ā€“ cheese sweats. If I didnā€™t know it before, well I definitely know it now. But for the love of life, food, and art, the show must go on.

... decent amt of cheese on the reuben, but too much sauerkraut to corned beef ratio; the pieces of corned beef that I ate under all the sauerkraut was OK, not dry nor too salty; yam fries were OK, but tasted straight out of a frozen bag...
Simon
If you are a fan of Reubens, this one doesn't have American portions of meat and therefore the proportion of sauerkraut to meat is higher -- and the relentless saltiness can turn you off.

#fullpost{display:inline;} I was recently in Vancouver for the BC Patient Safety & Quality Council's Quality Forum . There was a one day Social Media Camp that I was asked to speak at. It was a great opportunity that I could not turn down. Before going I tweeted out to @ gfvancouver and asked for any suggestions downtown near my hotel. Their first suggestion was St. Regis Bar & Grill. So my first night, that's where I ended up. It also helped that when I asked the concierge where to watch some hockey, they suggested St. Regis as well. So, a guy walks into a bar... ba da bing... well, walking into a bar you typically don't think gluten free or Celiac friendly. Considering typical pub grub is all battered and deep fried. But @gfvancouver chose well. They carry gluten free bread for their sandwiches and gluten free penne pasta for their pasta dishes. Not all their sandwiches are gluten free, e.g. I wanted their beef dip, but their dip is thickened with flour. Their wings are floured, and

As the semester came to an end, it was time to bid adieu to the other coop students that I was working with. The whole office headed down to St. Regis Bar and Grill for some delicious food. They usually head down to Steam Works but they wanted a change, so since they knew I blogged about food, they asked me to compose a list of good restaurants near the office. I really had no idea, I am not a food expert, I just eatā€¦and eat.. and eat. I used trusty Urbanspoon and Yelp to compile a list. Since St. Regis Bar and Grill was across the street, they felt it would be the best option. They had good appealing food at a decent price. They serve up the usual pub style food. Walking into the place, it was more like a bar. Don't expect your fancy or anything. It is a legit bar with lots of TV screens, perfect for watching the Canucks games too! With so many enticing choices on the menu, I had to go with the Sirloin Beef Dip ($12). In side the garlic baguette, there is a lot of thinly sliced sirl

Overall our experience there was not too bad. Given its location, I thought St. Regis is pretty reasonable, and would make a great hangout spot for students nearby, or even for work lunches and dinners.
