Excellent restaurant with delicious foods and a great happy hour. I tried the eggplant fries which were interesting and the Singapore laska was on point. Nice ambiance and great service too. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for Malaysian food.

Amazing 9 course tasting menu. The servers was speedy and extremely kind as well. I would highly recommend going during lunch time as they have plenty of seats available, so you can really enjoy the tasting menus without feeling rushed.
If you're getting the 9 or 11 course, come in with an empty stomach because you'll surely feel full afterwards.

This restaurant did not pass my expectation of good Malaysian cuisine. The menu looks exciting but the food we ordered, except for the mee goreng and the fried wonton appetizer, everything else seem to be lacking in flavor. The papaya/pineapple salad is colorful, it should be called bellpepper salad coz it is mostly what's on the plate. The lamb shank with spinach is swimming in soup, it tasted bland. The hainanese chicken tastes bland too, good thing there is ginger and chili on the side. Of the dessert we had, the pana cota with pandan and syrup is my favorite, altho it was disappointing that the picture from the menu appears better and bigger than the actual serving. The coconut milk syrup in the sticky rice with mango played an extremely important role coz the mango is not really sweet. The coconut ice cream tasted very ordinary, and so does the vanilla flavor in the banana fritters. We did finish everything on our table coz we arrived hungry and since it is pricey, we might as well eat them all. It was still a good dining experience coz we had great company and a good parking spot. We asked one of the servers for proper pronounciation of one of the desserts and he said, "I don't know, I'm Mexican" 😊 He is a nice guy.

Happened to visit this awesome restaurant offering Malaysian cuisine. Had Braised Lamb Shank and Veggie Nasi Goreng which they specially curated for us as my wife is a vegetarian.
I was surprised by the freshness of the food and how flavourful it is!!
Finished off the meal with Mango Icecream.
Do visit to experience superb Malay food!!

The best Malaysian Restaurant I have visited! A little pricey but the food and spices are delicious. The staff were very friendly and the service was quick.

I absolutely love this place. The food is so good here and unlike anything I’ve ever tried before. I ALWAYS get the Rangdeng Beef Bowl, I think they call it a brunch bowl now - it’s the dish in the photo I’ve included. It has a mix of all my favourite Banana Leaf dishes in one bowl. It’s to die for. Also check out their amazing cocktails. This place is a must go to for anybody

Experienced the dine out 9 course menu in banana leaf.
I was expecting to be served course by course. After salad all the food was served @ same time didnt give much room to enjoy the food hot.
Nasi goreng and fish stew was amazing and must try in the restaurant.
Everything else was average
chicken and eggplant curry- no flavour in chicken and over cooked
Mango shrimps- overcooked shrimps
Turmeric spinach- turmeric was overpowering
Lot of room to improve
Compliments to the chef for salad nasi goreng and fish stew.
Service was great 👍
All in all worth the experience.
Will give them a second try.

Delicious food with affordable price. They have lunch menu, happy hours, and even daily specials. They have many branches that you can visit around Vancouver. I personally like to go to the one on Davie because it is close to my place. Their servers are super nice and friendly.

I was not pleased with the server, she wasn’t rude but she wasn’t friendly either. I only tipped 10% as I feel like if you are in service industry, you need to be at least appear friendly. She never smiled, she didn’t ask how our food was, she was not talkative, nor did she thank us for the visit. Banana leaf is now become a chain, I feel like their food isn’t even authentic.

The service was mediocre, we had three different people attending to our table none of whom introduced themselves. The main dish came out as we were eating our appetizers. The dish itself was look warm and the coconut cream was oily. It's not the same Banana Leaf experience I had over a decade ago.
