Loved it here! Great food great service!
We arrived a little early but our table wasn’t ready. They let us in and sat at the bar while our table was getting ready. The drinks were awesome with great selections. Once we got to our table the food was excellent. The tomahawk steak was one of the best. And their appetizers were really good as well. The server he was awesome and very friendly. Overall a great experience. Will definitely be going back again soon.

A very nice restaurant. We haven’t been to the Yaletown since the pandemic. We walked by this West Oak restaurant after attending the Home and Garden Show and decided to try it. My lamb shank was great and my wife’s salmon was perfectly done.
Server Dave was very friendly and attentive. Very good experience here and we will definitely be back.

I always have a great experience here. Amicable staff and delicious food. The decor is lovely. Great place for brunch with the girls or dins for date night. It has one of the best patios all year round too, with blankets and pillows in the winter.

Nice atmosphere. Service was very good .Our meals were OK. I had the prawn and sable fish salad which was very good. My entree was the steelhead salmon with mushroom barley risotto. The salmon was a bit overdone and dry and the mushroom barley risotto seemed to not have any seasoning so it lacked flavor in my opinion.
My husband had the halibut with the housemaid gnocchi. He enjoyed the gnocchi, but felt the halibut needed seasoning.
We shared the brussel sprouts and bacon side dish. It was good but dry.
The dessert cookies were fabulous.

Great service! Food was good! Went for dine out and was happily surprised by the experience. Love how they have a separate private room to host a party with a dj and just lounge around. The food came in fast and was good, really enjoyed the salad, the ribs, the cod, the lamb, the cookies and cream as well! Would go back again :) ohh they also have 40% off all wine bottles on Wednesdays!!!

The quality of the food and the cocktails were good. The only issue is the portion of the cocktail they serve which I believe it's not enough for one person. They also only offer canned beer. Other than that I had a good experience dining in this place.

I had a good experience being here with my friends. I had roasted chicken for dinner and I loved it. I take one star because the Beer options were limited only to few bottled options, other than that everything else was great

I have been here many times and got to say it never disappoints me! Their food, ambiance, drinks, staff are all great! It is 100% one of my go to places for a good night out with good food and drinks. In the evening it has a very upbeat social vibe, love it. Been here pre pandemic and post… still just as good! My fav of all time and its a must try is their prawn appetizer. If your vegetarian then their avocado/hummus is great too! For dinner my fav is lamb. Its cooked so well and so so tender! Also their sablefish is so good! You just cant go wrong here!

Had a lovely meal this evening. Excellent food and excellent customer service. We've been in Vancouver for nearly two weeks and eaten at many places and your place comes out top. Many thanks to the manager for the complimentary cookies. They were awesome. Our waitress Jen was perfect. Thanks guys.

Food was mediocre at best and I don't think it's worth the price they are charging. For comparison moxie's also have a lobster and prawn linguine which for the similar price, you get a half tail of lobster, not 5-6 tiny little pieces of lobster meat that are size of the pinky finger. The mussel was fishy and the crab cake was tiny small for $18. Their famous triple cooked fries is not outstanding like they recommended .
Service was ok at the beginning but when we ask the server about a simple question on payment she said "You go ask another server" (which she should say "I will find out and get back to you on this"). The second server was better but when we asked for the water refill it didn't come till the bill comes, as if he was reminding you to tip when the bill comes.
Overall, for the 2 entrees and 3 appez with no drink , costing over $100 is a bit too expensive.

First time there with my friend who frequents this lovely place. We got a patio table ..score Our server was terrific. Chris treated us so well. From the wine chiller to replacement napkins if we dropped them.our food was Delish. We had the Ahi Tuna and house salads x2...yummy. finished 2 hours later with Baileys and espresso. West Oak is such a great place to spend the night drinking and enjoying company with friends! They have an exquisite drink menu, and a great complimenting food menu as well. I loved the Lobster Mac and cheese, and their cookies... oh their cookies. A must try!!!

Second time here, had the rib eye, calamari, burrata, bottle of malbec, food was very good, not stellar, we had three orders of rib eye cooked different, server got it all mixed up, then head server came over and made it worse, took them several minutes to figure out which steak went where, only after I cut one to see. Head server seemed more concerned that I understand that it was not her fault, rather the other girl than apologising, I was on the verge of telling them to go away so we could eat!

We went on a Friday for happy hour, we had the burrata and prosciutto, a prawn dish that was to die for and the steak tostadas, all half price all amazing! Glasses of vino for 7$ a great value we will be back!!

Excellent and popular downtown dining experience. Not for those who faint at the sight of a large check but definitely worth every penny! Good service when we were there on a Friday despite it being very busy, my wife and I (NOT their typical rich hipster clientele, I might add) were treated with respect and seated almost immediately. Food is always good - this was not my first visit - and I highly recommend West Oak as a destination. If you're coming in, make a reso - it's in the heart of Yaletown's Mainland/Hamilton restaurant corridor so parking is tight. I'd hate to spend all that time getting a spot or paying for valet service only to find myself without a table!! I'm lucky enough that we live a couple of blocks away, so not a problem for locals in walking distance.

The rose sangria is divine. Freshly squeezed watermelon and lemon juice makes it exceptional. And it's only $6 at happy hour. Craving another one already. :)
