Listen, I've never had a bad meal and Meat and Bread. Yesterday was no different. The meatball sub was on point. The craft cola was a nice touch. The staff friendly as ever. Why not 5? Well, when you're paying $20 for a sandwich and soda.... I don't know, maybe an add on? Prices have gone up!

I love the sandwiches here! I usually get the porchetta sandwich but this time I got the simple grilled cheese with tomato soup.
A classic combo which I thought was done quite well. They used two different types of bread for the grilled cheese to switch things up. It’s a decent place to grab lunch if you’re ever in the area :)

Friendly staff, clean and hip interior, great sandwiches. It's a good place to grab a bite and not sacrifice on quality of food. We tried their porchetta sandwich and the chicken sandwich. They were both satisfying. Bread was a bit chewy. The porchetta sandwich had the crispy skin in it which made the texture out of this world. Get ready to get your hands dirty eating these yummy sandwiches.
I love it that they have local soda (phillips) as well. They only open 4 hours a day.

Consistent, tasty & filling, not a bad word to say about this place. They've got porchetta down to a fine art. I went the other day and they didn't process my order (bit of mix up) so gave me a free sandwich for the delay and then gave me my order. Such great customer service and completely unnecessary but really goes to show they care.

Usually get the Porchetta Sandwich but it was sold out. This time tried the Buffalo Chicken and it was decent. Overall, everything from the sauces, veggies, and meats they use here are really fresh and tasty and the little bit of premium you pay here is worth it compared to some other fast food sandwich joints. Only wish the sandwiches were bigger.

This location is way better than the West Pender location. The sandwiches were super flavourful but the real winner was the bread. It was crackly and crisp and it had the perfect chew, but it was still light and easy to bite into. I remember having the same sandwich at the other location and the bread was hard/stale. This place is much better or maybe i just got lucky and got fresh bread 😅

Bread, delicious. Pork, delicious. Sauce, delicious.
But where's the crackling?! Please don't skimp out on the pork crackling. You have a golden recipe where all the ingredients play an essential part. I didn't enjoy this sandwich as much as I enjoyed the previous crunchy ones.

Very simple menu...they know what they do and they do it well! If you want a quick but delicious sandwich, I'd highly recommend Meat & Bread! Friendly staff and great food!

The porchetta sandwich has turned many a mediocre day into a wonderful one! One of my go to places when I have visitors from out of town. Maple bacon ice cream sandwiches ... enough said!!

Awesome porchetta sandwich as usual. I also had tomato soup for the first time. It was delicious and goes well with the sandwich. The line up were busy during lunch time which is expected but the staff were very efficient at moving the queue along. Check out was simple and painless. Great job!

The line up was long, but quick. The special sold out. Watching them chop roasted pork right out of the oven makes my mouth water. The crispy pork rind crumbles in my mind. And fresh baked chiabatta buns.

I had the breakfast sandwich at the Yates Street location in Victoria this morning and it was nearly perfect!!! The crispy whole wheat biscuit was absolutely delicious and it was the perfect compliment to the moist and savoury filling (pulled pork with green chillies, guacamole, tomatoes/lettuce and housemate chipotle mayo). The only suggestion I have would be to add jalapeños for an extra kick and possibly cheese? Overall very good! Will be back next week:)
