Just had one of the most fabulous meals here for DOV! They offer an amazing 5 course tasting menu. Each dish is very well composed, all the flavours work so well together & the presentation is beautiful. As each course is served, they explained in detail the components of the dish. The service is impeccable! They are friendly & knowledgeable. The ambiance is relaxed & the decor is eclectic. This by far has got to be not only one of the best DOV experiences I've ever had, but also one of the best meals I've had. Anna Lena knows what they're doing & they are doing it oh so well. We will definitely be back & I highly recommend you check them out!

Used to come here a couple of times a year, but this is our first time back since they started offering set menus. Amazing bites as I remembered! Thoroughly enjoyed everything—dishes are creative, flavours are on point, with just the right amount of salt and acid, beautiful plating, and good flow for a tasting menu. We missed the torn bread a lot, so glad it was on the menu tonight! And the sticky toffee pudding was so delicious too, such an amazing way to end the meal! Will definitely be back regularly again!

Amazing!!! I used to come often when I worked in the area, pre pandemic, but haven't visited since. Celebrated my birthday here, and was still blown away by every menu item. Presentation, taste, creativity, execution, all on point, which is extremely difficult to do with set menus of all different tastes and texture. Again... amazing.

AMAZING! i've wanted to try this restaurant for quite a while and ended up finally dragging two very reluctant friends with me. all three of us left having had the best meals of our lives! the drink pairing fit perfectly with the dishes and highly recommend it! the atmosphere is relaxing and friendly and very comfortable. all the workers were so nice and made us feel very welcome. i am going to be recommending this restaurant to anyone who will listen!

We first dined here was about two months ago and had a fantastic dinner. To make sure it wasn't just a one-time lucky experience I wanted to try it again before leaving a review.
Yesterday, we brought our son and girlfriend here to celebrate his birthday and we weren't disappointed. Every course was thoughtfully prepared with every element playing a crucial part of the overall dish. The food was absolutely top notch and the presentation was lovely. Our son had just eaten at his favourite restaurant the night before and came to the conclusion that AnnaLena was now his new favourite!
The service was phenomenal. We had Rebekah as our host previously and this time we had Tara. They were both excellent at making us feel welcomed and really enhanced the dining experience with their descriptions of each dish and expansive knowledge of the wine pairings. You can really feel that the staff are passionate about the food and wine and really want you to get the most out of your time here.
For me, AnnaLena is my favourite "tasting menu" restaurant in Vancouver. I love being surprised at what a restaurant decides to present to its diners, and Chef Robbins's use of ingredients, flavours and textures continues to impress. I can hardly wait for my next visit!

Went for the tasting menu course. The staff was very pleasant and attentive with all the coming and going of plates …etc.
Expect a LONG wait between each course. The restaurant was not fully packed when we were there, but for some reason the food took easily 20 min between each course.

One of my favourite restaurants in Vancouver and one I constantly return to. I love their new tasting menu format which means that whenever I go it is a new experience.
Regardless of what the food is, the execution is always top notch. Taste and presentation are excellent and it is really good value for the price too.
Anna Lena is a must visit restaurant in Vancouver.

Thank you for the culinary escapade last night, AnnaLena. My partner and I have added a new favourite to our 'best-of' list in Vancouver. Highly recommend the tasting menu - fried chicken, mussels, and beef bavette were rather (and I don't use this term lightly) mind-blowing. I took my wife there for her birthday this evening. We both got the tasting menu, and I can say that for both of us, it was the most remarkable meal we have ever had. We tried to think of a meal we'd had that was better, but couldn't think of anything.The staff was thoughtful and very kind, the atmosphere was cool, but most importantly the food was AMAZINGLY good. Each of the eight courses was a work of art. I looove this place and we will definitely come back!

My wife and I just came back from a fantastic meal at AnnaLena. We had the burrata, chicken, mussels, and pork belly, and all were fantastic--the mussels and chicken in particular were sublime. However, the very best part of the meal was the service, which was extraordinarily warm and welcoming from the start--everyone went above and beyond. Unpretentious, but professional and knowledgable. Truly a special meal.

Vibrant, comfortable surrounds to enjoy a superb experience. Dined with a group that enjoyed most of the menu. I had the kale salad with roasted cauliflower and crisps, amazing. Not a lot for vegetarians but they made a vegetarian risotto for me. I am not fond of risotto but this dish made me rethink that. Roasted endive, onions and chive stalks, perfect. Deserts! Home made ice creams, the chocolate, oh the chocolate. Everyone loved their selections and there was a lot of sharing, exactly as is encouraged by an attentive staff. Put AnnaLena on a must visit list, I have.

Sat at the bar and was served by both Kevin and Scott (?). From great cocktails to perfect wine pairings and of course simply yummy dishes (Bison Tartare, Mussels and Torn Bread and the duck confit feature). We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

my girlfriend and I visited on the 26th and enjoyed the phenomenal service and food . Even with a slight hiccup and mix up with tables every thing was amazing from our appys which was bison tartar and pâté to my absolutely amazing dessert feature which was a tart ,tonga bean semi fredo and a flavoured honey to our cocktails to end the dinner it's was amazing

We went during Dineout Vancouver last night and everything from the food to the service to the personal attention from the bartender was amazing. I had the oysters (shared), the squid and then the short ribs. Mouth watering!
The staff was friendly, attentive (yet 'not in your face').
Can't wait to go again!

Love the ambience, feel, Interior design, friendliness, chicness, love and of course the cuisine. We felt like we were in Abbot Kinney LA, or Daikanyama Tokyo. Went for the first time to AnnaLena for my birthday dinner with my husband, and the meal was as spectacular as the reviews said. My favourites were the chicken pate and 42 hour lamb. They even placed a little candle on the chocolate dessert that we shared! Thoughtful and awesome service, AND amazing food? You can't go wrong going here! We will be back when we are in Vancouver next!
