We selected Dickens Public house based on Reviews (thanks google community) nice relaxing atmosphere and friendly service. We opted for for the Dickens Burger with Cheese. I had mine with the soup of the day which was Beef Barley and excellent. My wife had hers with Salad and the lovely house balsamic dressing. This was an excellent burger and the servers suggestion to add bacon just topped it off right. Was very tempted for the special lamb gyro but had a burger craving to resolve. If you are coming off the ferry and need a bite doesn’t hesitate to choose Dickens public house. Children are welcome.
Wing night every Tuesday since we moved here last year. Angie and the amazing staff always welcome us and know our order by now. The wings are so good. The beer is cold and the laughter is free! Just for posting and tagging them weekly we were treated with a free drink this week. So nice of them! We usually dine in but on occasion we have also had take out and there is no difference to the quality of the food.
This place is great for what it is - a very casual pub. We arrived after 1030pm with a group of around 20 (wedding afterparty). It was a busy night as they had other events going on, but they made the effort to get us space.
I cannot say enough nice things about our server - she was the only one taking care of our large group, and she was super quick, accurate, and completely friendly. People kept moving around, ordering drinks for others, getting rounds of shots etc, and this woman had it NAILED. If I'd had been in her position, I would have lost it - we were kind and not belligerent (I think), but the whole situation must have been aggravating trying to keep track of people.
Drinks were decent, and damn, so cheap. I got a round of shots for the table and was fully expecting my bar bill to be over $250, but it ended up around $100.
Can't speak to the food, but damn, please give the blonde server with glasses a raise.
