Loved everything there. Great experience. Our waitress Meghan was delightful. Went for lunch and dinner during our 1 week stay in the country. We are not rich, but it was affordable for this type of restaurant compare to US. Will go again when in Canada next time. Didn't have a chance to get in last year as we didn't have the reservation. Don't know what Alex is complaining about. He probably has not well behaved children, so I could understand the owner...
Best French restaurant on the West coast. Fantastic location, excellent service and very difficult to get a reservation. 50+ years with the same chef/owner. There are no bad choices on the menu. Unbelievable wine selection. When you deserve the best, it's here.
My Wife is a Chef and we have so much trouble finding great places to go. We will go to the extreme lengths to find great restaurants in B.C. and the pacific northwest. This place is Fantastic, one of the best restaurants we have been to ever. All 4 of us tasted each of our appetizers and Mains. We all agreed that every item was sublime. It was just as good as Le crocodile and Hawksworth and there meal portions are wayyyy bigger that both of them. I was surprised by how good it was and that hasn't happened at a restaurant for years. The Menu has not changed in 50 years and Chef Owner Pierre cooks every meal served. The wine menu is world-class and worthy of a sommeliers dream cellar. The property that the restaurant is on is a multi-million dollar Ocean front paradise worthy of the Rich and Famous. The only draw back is Pierre is getting a little older and when he retires it won't be the same. So make a reservation months in advance and enjoy a heaven on earth dinning experience. You won't be Sorry. Troy
