Bennies and more Bennies, the menu has all kinds from the basic to fancy and they are amazing including the vegetarian one I had made with a black bean patty, absolutely delicious. They have much more on the menu but I can’t comment on them as I’ve never got past the Bennies, however if the rest of the menu is as good as them I’d say give it a go. The place is small however they are very friendly and efficient and can accommodate you sooner than you would think. They even take you’re name and you can go for a walk to work on you’re appetite as you wait for a free table. You’ll need the walk as they are meals are very generous, and they have good coffee too.
Great lil brunch cafe in the heart of Sidney. Much better than any of those chain restaurant options (nice to support local too). Arrived at about 12:30 on a Sunday and there wasn’t a wait for a table (it gets line-up busy on weekend mornings).
Ordered Veggie Benny served with a side of pan fries. It was homestyle tasty with fresh spinach, slices of tomato and pesto, and a good heaping of hollandaise sauce. The Grand Slam was good with your typical egg, toast, sausage and bacon. Everything was cooked perfectly to preference. And service was attentive and smiley. A solid place to get your breakfast on in quaint Sidney by the Sea.
I've been going there for years I love the staff and owners and can honestly say they make the best Benny's and there burgers are fantastic. I recommend you try it but be patient it's always busy because of it size ( like a Jewish deli in Montreal ) but worth waiting for .
For a Cafe of it's size, it sure makes a big impact for breakfast. When the wife and I arrived, every table was taken and we had to wait five minutes for a seat - good timing on our part as the lineup grew much bigger while we were there
Our breakfasts were both made perfectly to order and very tasty, but I've always been a sucker for home fries. My wife's Blackstone Benny looked delicious and my Grand Slam was so much better than it's ugly cousin at Denny's.
I also enjoyed the 80s/90s vibe - the music, the decor & the staff. If I ever swing through this way again, I'll definitely make sure to stop by.
This is a great spot to grab breakfast after a morning ferry ride into Swartz bay. You should make this a pit stop before driving to Victoria. This is by far the best Spanish style eggs Benny I have ever had. It was perfectly spicy and the hollandaise melted in your mouth. The price of the meal itself was a bargain compared to what you would pay for it in Toronto. Everything tasted divine. I was extremely impressed. The owner was very nice as well! I hope to come back soon.
Always good. Even though it can be a bit cramped in there at times when it's busy, the food is always great and servers are cheerful.

Amazing breakfast and super nice people.
Fantastic find!. After great review from friends, we tried it out for breakfast. Got in beating the breakfast rush. Friendly and attentive service right off the bat. We had 3rd St Eggs Benny & Huevos Nuevo. Definite 5 star. Eggs were done perfectly for us, the home-made mango hot sauce and fresh salsa were killer. Great atmosphere and food. Would recommend and will return.
Great job gang!
Pacifico Eggs Benedict. Favourtie eggs benny. Always great with a side of fruit.
Crabby Benny. Yummy! Perfect eggs very time. Love the 2 whole crab cakes the onion and spinach really kick it up! Sausage is really good to
A great local spot for breakfast/brunch, right in the middle of downtown. A ma & pa atmosphere, which I always enjoy and yummy food, helpful staff.
We were there at the height of morning rush, though ended up getting a table fairly quickly. Our food took a bit longer to arrive, though we knew they were packed. Everyone enjoyed their meal and coffees; we had the veggie benny (1egg and 2 egg) and a veggie omelet.
I'd come back again!
I love this old style cafe in the heart of Sidney! We had brunch and the Eggs Benny were done to perfection! Good sized portions of fried potatoes as well. The service was excellent! Only draw back is the small area for the cafe. They don’t take reservations so it’s first come, first serve! But then again, that’s the beauty of this place. You might have to wait for a table, but it’s worth it! Outside tables available in the summer!
This place seems packed like a local favorite but for a breakfast joint, it's okay. My meal was sparse on the capers and the potato hash tastes somewhat bland but perhaps the flavoring is catered to their elder demographic which seems to be the majority of their clientele. The plating of the meal looks as if it's been simply tossed on to the dish. Perhaps I'm spoiled for eating at other breakfast joints that serve similar for better value. The owner joked I hated the dished and asked if I wanted seconds? 🤣 Trust me, if I hated something, I wouldn't touch the meal. Just I'm used to most breakfast joints pile on ingredients with larger portions for the same price so that's why the meal was devoured in under 3 minutes.
Service is somewhat touch and go but it's because the staff can barely keep up with the volume. Hooray for broken 🍭 💔
For a quick eat and go, it's okay. Can't quite say it has the wow factor to eat here on a regular basis but the restaurant seems to have an interesting Peninsula vibe going on so worth coming for the experience.
Just a place where you come for the food and then leave. Seemed a bit understaffed, we waited for a bit longer than I would’ve liked to be seated. The food was good though, especially the fries 10/10 would recommend.
Wonderful friendly staff. Portions are huge. Crab cakes Benny - super delicious, highly recommended! Best Crab cakes I've ever had.
What a fantastic spot for breakfast. The space is small but the staff are fantastic and turn the tables efficiently and without pressure. The food was amazing and came out fast. Can't wait to come back.
What a lovely place to come and enjoy breakfast.
I highly recommend the crab cake Bennie
5 stars 😊
Always grateful for the absolutely friendly and efficient service. Breakfast is always served piping hot.
The food here is delicious! We had the Grand slam breakfast and the Country Omlette and I would recommend both! The homemade mango habanero hot sauce is addictive! But the real star of the show is the CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! WOW!!! Thank you for a great meal and wonderful experience!!
Wow, you will come for the great food but stay for the service. I have never felt more welcome or received better service before.
My coffee never ran cold, my food was delicious and quick and the incredible staff made sure my experience was exemplary.
