Fortune Terrace is one of the many Chinese restaurants that you can find in Richmond. The thing that really sticks out in my mind whenever we visit this place is the humongous digital screen which takes up a whole wall. Seriously, I need one of these tvs for my home. We showed up for dim sum service in early November and found that they weren’t too busy. It might be because their prices tend to be a bit on the high side (but we did get 12% off for our dim sum meal).
Came here with my family to try some fancy dimsum. We ordered the stuffed eggplant, deep fried tofu, deep fried minced taro roll, truffle lobster crispy rice rolls, truffle siu mai, sweet potato ladies handbag crisps, and the almond souffle.
Most dim sum prices are $8.80 (lucky Chinese number), which makes the dim sum more expensive than other places. I recommend coming here to try something new - their dishes can be made to look like cute animals (fun for the kids).
Personally, some of the truffle felt lost on me as the flavours didn't pull through as much. Definitely recommend the taro roll and the handbags (for all your purse-loving aunties).

After checking out of our hotel, we left Vancouver and stopped for dim sum in Richmond. We had to wait about forty five minutes for a table at Fortune Terrace Chinese Cuisine. For me the wait was worth it because of the adorable pig egg buns, the turtle shaped pineapple buns, and the sweet potato handbags.
Few things have that uneasy mixture of luxury, guilt, and controversy as king crab does. Like spot prawns now, there used to be a mad king crab season rush in the Lower Mainland. But because we can’t have nice things, king crab prices are high and supply has become questionable (and possible illegal). So on that note, we recently celebrated a family reunion of sorts with king crab. I didn’t even see a menu during this dinner. My dad and relatives ordered, my dad paid, and I ate and appreciated like a number one son.

福滿樓算是列治文市新開的中式酒家，就在奧福村大統華隔壁，於2016/6/8 開業至今也有一陣子了。這裡的老闆Sunnie從事餐飲行業超過20年，她在南京的餐廳規模很大很高級，旗下員工也有1000多位，而溫哥華是她在海外的第一間餐廳。福滿樓的裝修豪華環境雅緻，超高的空間、漂亮的吊燈、中國元素的飾品，都是在溫哥華的中餐廳裡面不多見的。印象最深的是天花板上懸掛的蝴蝶群，加上紫色的窗簾布看起來很具氣派。四個VIP廂房可以貫通為一大間，適合團體聚餐。從設計上看得出餐廳很用心，裝修很上檔次，但又不會給人過於“土豪”的感覺，另外還有一整面巨型全彩LED大屏幕在不斷顯示動態效果呢！看看茶市的菜單，品種也不少，由於店家在走高級路線，價格自然也不便宜啊。憑VIP貴賓咭可享茶市免茶及點心八八折優惠！記得向櫃檯索取店家卡片，卡片背後就是VIP貴賓咭啦！

滑雞蛋蝦球帶子炒河 $28.80 ~ 沒有驚喜，但價錢偏高
狗不理臘腸卷 $8.80 ~ 造型好可愛的臘腸狗
泰汁原條釀茄子 $8.80 ~ 在沾有炸漿的炸茄子上淋上泰式甜酸醬，外脆內軟也好吃兼創新
桂林百合醬蒸鳳爪 $6.80

經典小黃人流沙包 $8.80 ~ 賣相十分可愛，吐奶的時候就更加呆萌
金蒜香芋蒸排骨 $8.80
杏香梳乎厘 $8.80 ~ 是店家的茶市明星點心，每枱必叫。它是用蛋白和燕麥做成，形狀特別，甜度不高，輕柔口感在甜點裡甚是特別。
Ate here for brunch with some friends from LA, and they absolutely loved it! They had the cutest food art I’ve ever seen! Would definitely have more brunches here again! :)
Fortune Terrace Chinese Cuisine RICHMOND | 福滿樓海鮮酒家 Richmond Oval. Fortune Terrace Chinese Cuisine 福滿樓海鮮酒家 is a high-end Chinese seafood restaurant located in Richmond by the Richmond Oval – next to Ora a large scale residential community with T&T Supermarket. The restaurant is spacious with a large screen projection screen (perfect for weddings). Service is friendly and was not pretentious.
I’ve been eyeing this place ever since it opened its doors early last year. I happen to go to the gym across the street from it so I have seen this place from the early stages of construction. The prices here are way more expensive than your regular chinese dimsum but the menu offerings are unique and worth a try.
During the summer, I joined another praise dance group which takes place in the South Arm Park. This group goes to dim sum after every practice but I have not join them until this time. We went to the relatively new Fortune Terrace Chinese Cuisine across the Oval on River Road. The restaurant is decorated quite lavishly. When we arrived before 11:00 AM, the main hall was already full. So, we were seated in a back area, sort of a separate room. We had a large table as there were 16 of us.
The dim sum was above average and was very delicious! Would highly recommend the custard steamed buns as they were one of the best parts about dining here. The dim sum is a bit pricier compared to other restaurants in the area. Just a general heads up, but the parking here is a bit hard to navigate.
Forgot to take pictures as I was more focused on getting the food into my belly 🙈 The dim sum were all top notch. It doesn’t look like it but I really enjoyed the custard 🐷 buns LOL. We also got the truffle lobster crispy rice roll which was absolutely delicious. Never had something so unique and tasty in dim sum before.
The environment was busy but clean. The service was efficient. Would definitely recommend if you want to experience a “fancier” dim sum place!

The piggy custard buns were not only adorable but had so much filling, and not too sweet.
The steamed egg white shrimp dumplings were surprisingly good!
The truffle lobster roll were filled with shrimps as well.
And the shiu mai weren’t greasy which I liked.
Would come back in a heartbeat.
Really fun dim sum to try but a bit more expensive than usual places. Parking was a pain and further to walk to. Ok service, they hurry you out if sitting over 1.5 hours. Enjoyable overall! Will try more dim sum next time
Writing this review upon a second visit to Fortune Terrace. Both visits were filled with delicious, high quality, and unconventional approaches to classic dim sum. All dishes were with aesthetically pleasing presentations. Serving was timely and accurate. Reservations were required.

If you drive, park at the Grey or Green zone then register your car plate at one of the pay stations! The Grey zone is 180 minutes free parking and Green zone is only free for 90 minutes. The Orange zone is PAY parking.
The Chinese name of this place is called 福滿樓. It has been around for several years. Both lunch and dinner are never disappointed.
We came here on Saturday after 10:30am for dim sum. The place is almost full at 11:30am. So come early on the weekend. They do have good dum sum selections and some of them are unique. We have tried a few today.
Their Abalone Shui Mai 鮑魚燒賣comes with 5 pieces but only one of them has a tiny abalone. The other 4 pieces have truffle paste on top. Nowadays many dum sum restaurants like to put truffle paste on top of shui mai. TBH, I don’t think those are real truffle and for sure they don’t taste real. It doesn’t enhance the favorite. I guess the main reason for this is the restaurant can charge you more. If you ignore the tiny abalone and truffle paste, the shui mai is really good.
They have a few rice roll 腸粉dishes but not the usually one. They have Bitter Melon Angus Beef Rice Roll 涼瓜安格斯牛肉腸粉. Come on… why pair bitter melon with angus beef? So we didn’t order this. We have ordered Truffle Lobster Crispy Rice Roll 黑松露脆皮龍蝦腸粉which is very good. I’ll come back for this.
Their Sticky Rice 糯米雞and Steamed Goose Plam 鵝掌are also good. The Steamed Spareribs 蒸排骨and Beef Ball 牛肉are above average.
The service is what I expected from normal dim sum restaurant. Food came fast and price is reasonable too.
