Always worth the drive to Steveston, a must try if you are a fish n chips lover
I just want to say that the food it’s really good, the fish really crispy, really good endless fries, i had a really good experience with the staff, they where really nice to me and my nephew, we went to Coquitlam 2 days, and both days we ate in Pajos, looking forward to my next trip to Vancouver to eat at pajos.
I ordered Pacific Wild Halibut🐟 & Fries 🍟. The fish fillet is super crispy. The batter is not too thick. The filet is a bit on the oily side as it's fresh out of deep fry. I would recommend eating with brown napkins. Perfect food with a wonderful harbour view. Highly recommended 👍
Very light and flaky fish and chips. The cod tacos are probably one of the best fish tacos I've ever had! Highly recommend checking them out if you're in the fabulous Steveston area
Amazing fresh fish & chips. We got the three kinds of fish (cod, halibut, and salmon) and were not disappointed. This was my first time trying salmon fish & chips and it was very interesting to try. In the end, I preferred the cod while my friend preferred the halibut.
The food was wonderful and there was only a minimal wait (~10 min) on a sunny Sunday afternoon in March. Would highly recommend if ever in the Steveston area!
The fish was incredibly good but it gets incredibly busy here (at least, the one on the wharf does) so be prepared to wait. I visited on a long weekend so I knew it would be busy; I was told the wait would ~15 minutes but we ended up waiting over an hour. They do have a pretty good system though where you order from window on the side and then pick up from the main window, and they have nice big trays that they give you. There is also a decent amount of seating available, if you can get one.
I would definitely come back as the food was very good, but I will be better prepared for the long wait.
It's seems fitting to eat Fish and Chips when your down on the fishing docks in Stevston.
I tried the Cod and the Red Snapper and was happily satisfied. The batter was crispy and light. The fish tasted fresh and flavourful and the chips were decent. Service was pleasant and quick.
We came for a walk along Steveston's famous Fisherman's Wharf. It was a beautiful, albeit cold day.
Of course, we couldn't stop by without a visit at Pajos Fish and Chips situatrd right off the dock.
The wait was long and when I approached the cashier, he gave me a heads up that wait time is around 30 mins. I appreciated the warning. Instead of ordering there, I used their app to order so I can walk around while waiting for the app to alert me.
We picked up 2 orders of Halibut Fish and Chips. Halibut is our favorite fish for fish and chips and Pajos did not disappoint. The meat was flakey, yet meaty and tender. My mom and I really enjoyed them. They were perfect against the backdrop of Fisherman's Wharf.
The chips were yummy though needed a good sprinkle of salt. They were cut the way they are suppose to be to be classified as chips.
Now reading the comments from the owners in other reviews, I wonder if bottomless fries is still offered.
Craving Satisfied! Cod Fish & Chips and Cod Fish Tacos! You got to watch for those pesky birds who like to distract you. We went mid week, early just after 11AM, there was no wait, quick service and the order was nice and hot! Love the bottomless fries and the view! YUM
There's a wait of course (~20min) but Pajo's is THE fish and chips stop in Steveston. And it's located right on the water! There are limited spaces to sit right now due to covid and people waiting around but there's seating up on street level as well as benches. Food's great!
