Great selection of fruit and veggies, good price, VERY fresh and good quality. I got red grapes here today and they are the best grapes I've ever tasted in my life. I also had sushi here once and it was very good!
I got 3 cucumbers, 5 ears of corn, a box of like 15 peaches, a big bag of grapes, 4 oranges, and a carton of eggs for only 30$!
I shopped at Pete's today around 1:30. The employee named Agnes who's extremely helpful and friendly, having an employee like her really adds shine for Pete's.

I believe that all basic necessities are here. Wide range of products. This is very convenient to people who work in the ship from the nearby port. I bought some protein bars and whey protein for 50% off! I hope i can come back here again.
EDIT: updated as I've just eaten at Pete's Gluten Free Eatery downtown. It was delicious - I had an arugula salad with apple, pecans, dried cranberry, and a maple honey dressing. Honestly, I saw the kiosk in the food court and had the initial reaction of "oh, it's probably semi-dry muffins and uninspired sandwiches" and I couldn't have been more wrong. Worth checking out if you're around near lunchtime!
A little pricier than a Superstore or Sobeys, but Pete's delivers on so many levels. Fresh food, great selection, and amazing to-go sandwiches, soups, and salads.
They've been purchased by a larger company, but hopefully things continue as per usual - Pete's is where I would do my grocery shopping on the regular if I lived nearby.
This was on June 20th, 2023 late afternoon/early evening. I had just come from across the country looking for a place for the upcoming school year. I felt defeated due to the horrible housing market/dealing with rude property companies. I felt so alone and ever so hungry. I came across Pete's and I grabbed some sushi. While waiting in line, the sushi package came apart and fell to the ground. The sushi went everywhere on the floor. I looked around in horror, wondering if the meaning of life was solely to suffer. However, a very nice associate/or manager quickly came up to me and apologized. They said don't worry, stuff like this happens. They then went on to get me another sushi pack. Whoever that person was, thank you. While this review might be a bit extra, that person really lifted my spirits up. No joke, the food is really good and reasonably priced. All of the staff I dealt with from the multiple times I was there were very friendly. Definitely recommend this place.
I love Pete's but it's about the workers there ,they are so kind ,and so helpful for me personally ,and when i heard and saw they were on strike ,I felt so bad ,then was offered 25 raise seriously ,that's disgusting, pay them what they want ,they deserve that ,I pray you are all back to work soon 🙏I miss going there .I'm really sorry this is happening. Stay strong 💪 💓

Always great shopping for unique taste and products, a wonderful feeling just going in there and seeing all the different options and staff are great.
The produce is always fresh and they often have hard-to-find fruits there. It's lovely to be able to get warm food that's well made and (seemingly) healthy. Last week, I needed a cake last minute and bought a cake from their bakery section. The cake was delicious and honestly, really pretty too, for a great price. I'm so glad to have a Pete's downtown!
